Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We discovered that our main sewer line was clogged about 9 PM after water started backing up in the shower and tub after taking a shower. We called Roto-Rooter and they said they could send someone in about 2 hours. They called about 30 minutes prior to arrival to make sure we still wanted service, as it was getting late. Their service technician, Devin, arrived when they said he would and he was fantastic. He was very courteous, professional and friendly. It was apparent that he took pride in his job and he was very thorough. He completed the job in a reasonable period of time and checked all of the clean outs to make sure that everything was done right. He provided some suggestions to prevent a recurrence of the problem. While having a clogged sewer line in the middle of the night was not a pleasant experience, Devin and the Roto-Rooter people made it as tolerable as possible. I would highly recommend this company, and if this were to ever happen again, I would not hesitate to call them again.

Service Tech George (#2170) was friendly and professional. He worked quickly and efficiently, managing to keep the work area relatively tidy. He offered to clean what little mess was made. He was kind enough to explain what he was doing and why, and offered some advice for future preventative maintenance.

Amos was great, he helped me problem solve the issue to get it fixed at the cheapest price without having to pay for extra parts or have my tile/wall ripped out. He was extremely professional and courteous, would definitely use him again in the future. Learned my lesson trying to go the cheap route and hire a handyman to do the work! Scheduling online was a bit of a hassle. The online system let me schedule a Saturday appointment for a two hour window, but for my issue they don't do weekend appointments, so I ended up having to call the local dispatch to get another appointment. It was an unnecessary hassle. The online scheduling and high price are my reasons for not giving them an "A"

My plumber, Devin, was very courteous and professional, but Roto Rooter's prices are outrageous. I did not have him do the work. I wanted two sink fixtures changed. A previous plumber charged me $75 for the same fixture in a different bathroom, RR's price is $185 for a bathroom sink fixture. The kitchen fixture with RR costs $395. Since I was floored by sticker shock, Devin showed me the official price list. Unbelievable. I'll be calling someone else, and trying to get a refund for the "Big Deal" I purchased.

Amazing service. Our technician (Amos Watson) was great. We called in the morning because overnight the pipes below our kitchen sink decided that they no longer wanted to be attached to the sink or any of the other pipes. They came out in less than hour after we called. Amos, quickly assessed the problem, made recommendations and went to the hardware store to buy supplies and in less than 2 hours from the initial visit- he was done and our sink was working perfectly. I couldn't be happier with their service all around.

I was very happy with the work done. I received a phone call as promised before Devin Jones was to arrived and he arrived promptly. He did a excellent job in a timely manner. He was very polite and pleasant to work with. I have used Roto-Rooter in the past and will again in the future.

Roto Rooter in New Orleans has been excellent to work with. As a homeowner in New Orleans, we are constantly finding a reason to call a plumber. Each time we have called Roto Rooter and they have been excellent to work with. Devin was so friendly and responsive. He was out to our house to quote the work the same day we called (Quotes are FREE!) He then came back the next day and was punctual with getting to our home on time to start the job. We were thankful for his punctuality since we both had to get to work. He handled getting all of the parts and repairing the diverter in just a few hours. The shower now works great.

The Roto Rooter repairman Bill (#1581) came over on a SUNDAY within 45 minutes! I was really astounded - I had just gotten off the phone with my wife explaining the problem and he was knocking on the door. Let me also add that the customer service representative was exceedingly polite and supportive in a way that you do not see often with national chains. Bill came to the backyard and inspected the problem. He reassured me right away that he would stabilize the situation as well as resolve the clogged sewer line. He worked quickly and efficiently and showed me the work after it was done. He also offered to do some maintenance on Tuesday to prevent the problem from happening again because the sewage joint (where the two pipes met) was not properly supported. When Bill came back Tuesday, he informed me that he had not applied the Angie's List discount. I was so panicked on Sunday that I had not even brought it up. So, he retro-actively added the discount for Sunday and extended it through Tuesday's service as well. If Bill had not brought up the discount himself, I really would not have been the wiser either Sunday or Tuesday. I know I sound like a commercial for Roto Rooter. But, they earned this glowing review. Especially Bill - but also the customer service representative who I called on Sunday also. The e-mail I got from Roto Rooter afterwards verifying that I was satisfied was simply lagniappe (New Orleans slang for "a little something extra").

It turned out fine. They did a good job. We haven't had any problem since.

I called them on a Wednesday morning and they had someone at the house within 2 hours. They were prompt,efficient, polite, professional and gave me the 10% Angie's discount. I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommended.

Woke up on Saturday morning and found a toilet backed up. I took a shower and the shower didn''t drain. Checked another bathroom and that toilet would not drain. I looked on Angie's List and found this company. I called and I was told that someone would be out within 2 hours. As it turned out, the technician came in about an hour. He was very professional and courteous. I showed him the drain clean out and he went right to work. In less than 30 minutes the job was finished and everything was draining just fine. He had to move some patio furniture and plants to get to the clean out and when he was done he made sure to replace everything just as it was before. This service call was not all that complicated, but I was impressed with the prompt response by the company, the friendly and courteous person who answered the call and the professionalism of the serviceman. I would definitely use this company again.

They were quick to respond on a Sunday afternoon. I explained to the technician that the toilet had been giving me some trouble yesterday and today it overflowed. It said it would be $179.00 (7 day guarantee) to use the 'snake' to unclog it. I denied the offer, even tho I was in a bind and told him I'd call my plumber tomorrow and pay way less. He looked around and then said $80.00. So I agreed. He went to the truck and got the 'snake' and it was cleared after a few plunges. I was very appreciative.

Scheduling a visit was easy and fast, service was professional and fast, though the technician had some difficulty locating my house. The flat fee seemed a bit high for such a quick and simple visit, but its a good trade-off for such a fast turnaround. I called at 8 am and had my drain cleared before noon, so I'm very happy overall.

They were quick to respond, punctual and the service guy was very professional. I felt like he was shooting straight with me. He quickly assessed and fixed the problem and gave good recommendations on how to attempt to avoid the same issue in the future. Then I asked if he could re-set one of our commodes. After looking at the problem, he very candidly told me that I could do it myself rather than paying $176 for him to do it. I appreciated his honesty and will use them again in large part because of his candor.

Very prompt and professional. Only gripe was they were a little pricy but was in a bind and needed it done ASAP. Charged $257 to fix leaky shower knob. Had to replace all three knobs as one needed to e replaced. Just though could have been done cheaper.

I am please with the service that they provided. Granted the problem isn't fixed yet, but he felt bad that he couldn't fix is completely. Our pipes are older since this is an older house, but I will call them to finish the job once I find the piece he was talking about. He was very professional, and explained everything in plain English. I will definitely recommend them to others.

Great. Called on Monday and requested service on Thursday. I chose morning. They gave me a 4 hour window. On Thursday, company called to say plumber would be out within the hour. George Hardin (2170) was very pleasant to work with. He identified the problem quickly. There were two possible fixes and he was able to do the one less intrusive and less expensive. The service is guaranteed for six months. He was even able to advise preventative measures. We have never used this company before. It was recommended by another plumber. I would definitely use them again.
