Searching Angie's list I found a Roto-Rooter outlet in New Orleans, but they told me I was outside their service area and referred me to a Northshore office at 70161 Hwy 59 in Abita Springs. The New Orleans office offered a $40 coupon through Angie's List. I called the Abita Springs office and caught them just as their last man went home. I arranged to have someone come out Saturday morning between 8:00-9:00. Brett Werner called me at 8:15 am and said he'd arrive in 15 minutes. He provided an estimate to clear and photo-survey the line and said the Angie's List coupon was good. He cleared the line in 10 minutes and showed me the live video feed from his snake camera showing some root invasion near the hook up point with the main line. He then gave me an estimate to dig up and replace the sewer line in the affected area he marker in paint.

I am having a big time problem with them. One person wanted to come out and fix the clog, but there was no clog. I told him what I needed done and he said he did not do that and left, after he was already late. All I needed was the flap changed and the plastic washer in my kitchen faucet and he told me the only way to fix my toilet was to replace the innards and he did. He told me the only way to fix my faucet was to replace it. They charged me for the most expensive pats and that is not what they gave me. You have to hold my toile down until it fully flushes. For the sink you can pull the faucet out to spray around but they put a plastic piece there and it does not go all the way back in now, cheap. He brought me a bill for $380 and I told him to take it back to the company it should not be that much. I am waiting and waiting for a bill and I get a nastygram. So I call them and tell them I am still waiting on a bill. I then wait and wait and get a nastygram again. Then I get a bill but I was so pissed I ignored it. So I got a call from a debt collector/attorney and they asked me what I would pay, I told them I would pay half and they took all my information for a check and they still have not taken the money from my account. He wanted to be paid in cash. I was thinking when they saw the $360 they would say whoa that's too high but they did not.

The service worked out just fine. Initially it was $275 per toilet and they deducted it from that so it was $400. The first gentleman they sent used different types of valves, and one of them stopped working. We called them back, and they came out immediately. The second person that came out said he preferred not to use the kind of valve the first person used. Their compensation was free of charge on all that. They responded very quickly. I had no complaints. If the first person used a better valve, the grade would have been an A. The interaction was very cordial. They were both very nice people to deal with, and the third person I talked to was the owner or the office manager, so everybody I talked to was very pleasant and very upfront. In the end everything worked fine.

We were not satisfied because they came over here for 30 minutes and charged me $120 just to press a button on my garbage disposal. We didn't like them. They fixed my garbage disposal, but it got ruined again. I had to call somebody else to come over here and fix it again. The garbage disposal wasn't working after a month and a half. They were professional.

I just moved into a house that had had a broken old water heater that had not been running for over a year. Roto Rooter came by and gave me an estimate to replace it with either a regular tank heater or a tankless (which is what I was more interested in). They talked me out of an electric tankless, and I hired them to replace my old water heater with another. They drained the old one, brought it down from the attic and brought up a new one and installed it, bringing the broken one to the street, where I left it for people to pick up for parts, which happened pretty quickly. It was a little pricey. There was an extra charge for working in the attic. Also, because the fittings were in different places, they had to redo some of the lines, and that cost extra too. I was happy that they found a leak / weak connection and fixed that, which really could have avoided a big water crisis! Dwight- the plumber that did the work- was very friendly, professional, and accommodating to my schedule, and he explained everything to me thoroughly. Overall, I'm happy I went with Roto Rooter.

Our tech (Marc #201) took two hours to ensure that our drains really were flowing freely again. He communicated clearly, did a great job and even entertained my curious 5 yo.

The technician had to remove and replace temporary shelving in order to access the toilet, which he graciously did. It was then repaired efficiently. A problem with payment then occurred. My American Express card was charged the full amount that day (1/18/2016), but two days later the same amount was again charged to my account. I was unable to access the billing department at RotoRooter. It took me four days and innumerable telephone calls to get that double payment resolved!

My service Technician was Dwight (1485) and he was very knowledgable and accommodating. He explained the procedure and costs involved. They were very fast and friendly. They also cleaned up after themselves!!! Always a plus. Highly recommended! The price was a bit high but I find that all plumbing contractors seem to be pricey and they did arrive within a few hours of my call. So, I think you pay extra for that convenience.

It was a good experience. Travis was professional, courteous and efficient.

Could not have gone better. Came early. Office called first to tell us he was on the way. Promptly saw the problem and repaired with parts in van and cautioned about what to look for in the coming months.

Never receive any service. Not sure what happened to the 25 dollars I put down for a deposit.

I called ROTO-ROOTER on Thursday afternoon and expected they would come out the following Monday or Tuesday. I was pleasantluy surprised when an appointment was made for Friday morning. The woman that made the appointment in the office was very courteous. Sidney, Tech #50, was punctual, polite, informative, and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend ROTO-ROOTER to my friends and neighbors.

Travis (tech #124) was very courteous and professional. He got the job done quickly and efficiently.

I did have an issue with Roto-Rooter but it was taken care of immediately and that is why I would HIGHLY recomend Roto-Rooter

everything went smoothly.....I was in bathroom when plumber first came but a message was left he would be re-routed when I called back. He came back but had to leave when he found the problem - had to go buy part.....he returned and all went well. very nice young man who gave me info about my rusty pipes, the possible cost of replacement......

He did a great job and unclogged my drain very quickly.

Came home and discovered a leak from a pipe under my sink in a lower bathroom. I called two other companies, but none returned the call or were available to come today. Roto Rooter was available to come today. The technician was polite and surveyed the bathroom. He came out and quoted a price. I mentioned Angies List and a discount, but he just seem to say that it's still the same price less the Angies list discount. Though there's nothing on the invoice stating this. The job probably took less than 20 minutes and the area was not cleaned nor were things returned to their place.

Dwight arrived first thing in the morning and installed a disposal in my kitchen. He was very personable and professional during the service. I appreciated how he walked me through the installation and how much it would cost before he began work. My disposal is working well and I look forward to calling on Dwight and Roto-Rooter in the future to help me with any of my plumbing needs. I highly recommend this service.

I requested a simple remove toilet seat and replace with a new bidet toilet seat. Maybe take 1/2 hour. It was scheduled two days in advance and I was given the awful 4 hour 8 to noon window. By 1pm they still hadn't showed. I called(the third time) and thy said someone would be there in 30 to 40 minutes(still a vague time). That puts us at close to 2pm with the work still to be done. So they wasted my entire day and now that its too late to go in to work, have cost me 8 hrs. I canceled them. I should charge them for MY 8 hrs. I will find someone else who concerned with the customer's time, rather than their own. There is no excuse for a company this large to miss a 4 hour window for a scheduled appointment.

Nick was very professional, punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. He told us we could watch the screen while the video inspection was being done of our sewer line. It was great to be able to see the condition of our sewer line firsthand, and where the problem was located. The service, video and recommendation Nick provided was so helpful to us and at a very reasonable price! We will be using Roto-Rooter for future plumbing problems.

At first I had problems but now I am pleased because after speaking with Angie's company, Roto Rooter send me a $45.00 check and made the deal right. Thank you Roto Rooter and Angie. I would hire them again.

I called on Roto Rooter b/c I've used them before and they had an opening today. The Tech (1485) was very professional and replaced the ball c*** pretty quickly. He showed up early (which was a good thing) and was in and out in 20-25 min....Great and timely service, pleasant technician and yes, I would recommend them again.

The service provided by Devin was outstanding! We received quality service at a reasonable price! Devin put in two toilets and a bathroom sink faucet. He was very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, polite, and glad to make the customers happy! The old sink faucet was very rusty and did not want to come out. Devin went to his van and secured an additional tool and removed the old, rusty faucet successfully! The areas were left clean! Devin also explained the warranty which we are glad lasts so long! We are confident that Devin stands behind his work! Roto-Rooter also communicates well with the customer by phone and email and responds quickly in providing service and answering questions!
