Description of Work: We were very disappointed with the approach used by the service representative. A price (high) was quoted but the rep was unable to tell us exactly the model/equipment that would be installed. He did little trouble-shooting & pronounced that a new water heater was needed "because of age of the unit & house" No diagnostics; barely looked at water heater. We felt as though he thought he had the sale without really being thorough; like we were too clueless to ask questions.

Description of Work: Snaked a line to clear slight blockage in shower drain. Some hair was removed which solved the immediate problem. It took about 5 minutes. Ridiculous price for the work performed.

Description of Work: I had him check the electrical work from a previous contractor to ensure the wiring was okay.

Description of Work: We had the plumber out to inspect the gas lines and get the gas turned back on. After making changes to the lines, they said that it failed the pressure test and they needed an additional 1000.00 dollars. I called a second plumber in and found that the changes made by the previous plumber were what was leaking. after tighting up the system he was able to get the gas turned back on. Stuarts then called back and said that I owed them an additional 400.00 for work they did not perform. Only after I threatened them with a law

Description of Work: In my attic there was a pipe that was broken by another contractor and they replaced one piece for me.

Description of Work: I called to get an estimate for an Electrical Inspection report for insurance purposes because I had been getting estimates anywhere from $150 - $300. I was told it would cost $49.99 for the technician to come out to tell me how much they would charge for the electrical inspection report. If I chose to have the work done (or I guess the inspection report in this case), I would be credited back the $49.99. I told her I wasn't paying $49.99 without knowing what their fee was for the report. Based on other reviews, their prices seem to be high anyway. How do I know they weren't going to charge $500 for the report? No one else I've called charges a fee to go out to give an estimate. And it wasn't even an estimate for actual work to be done, just an inspection report. It's a shame because I have multiple updates and repairs to do on the home we are purchasing and because of this, will not use them for anything.
