They went above and beyond what I was expecting! Knowledge of the products and service were definetly their focus and completing the job to the customers satisfaction. They made sure the project was done in a timely manner and done correctly. They were easy to work with and extremely professional through the entire process. They left the room they had spray foamed cleaner than they found it. Will definitely return to them for any other service we need that they do.

We recently had spray foam applied to our attic. We have a single story home with two a/c units. In the summer, the west side of our home was always hot and uncomfortable. We would set the thermostat at 73 degrees and temperatures in the west-facing kitchen would rise to 78 degrees and stay there from around 3 pm until around 8:30 pm. Also, the a/c serving the kitchen side of the house would run constantly from noon until late evening. We called our a/c installer thinking the unit was bad. After checking everything, the a/c was fine. It just couldn't keep up with the heat loss we were experiencing. After the spray foam was applied, we can now keep the thermostat on 72 degrees and the temperature on the west side never moves above 72. Same is true for the rest of the house and it is much more comfortable, less humid and quieter. It appears that both a/c units are running half as much as before. We haven't received an electric bill since installing the spray foam, but we expect to see a reduction, just in time for the hottest part of the summer in south Louisiana. I put a 4,900 sqft house under contract to buy and discovered mold during the inspection process. I googled and found a random mold remediator to do a thorough mold inspection and quote repairs. The Seller responded by contacting Ira and Sunlight Contractors to give a second opinion. And WOW. Immediately Ira and his lead guys blew me away with their extensive knowledge of building science and the right and wrong ways to tackle mold remediation and to prevent it from ever coming back. They found so many more issues that the first guy missed and had a much more intelligent and sound approach to tackling the problem. Due to the house being added on to several times over the past 70 years, they further identified building design flaws and errors, and then went the extra mile to prove that smart and more efficient redesigns were not only possible, but affordable, that would make an old house like new again. Having a project engineering and management background, I can honestly say that these guys are the real deal. It's hard to find contractors you can trust and have a great depth of experience they can pull from. I've been burned countless times either in homeownership or in business by contractors who overpromise, scope creep, and underdeliver. It's so nice to finally find someone I can work with and feel good about recommending to my friends. Unfortunately, the contract fell through due to the Seller not wanting to remediate the property. But I'm looking forward to calling Ira and his crew up for the next job that comes up. He spent an incredible amount of time with me trying to help me make it work and with integrity. He's a true pleasure to work with.

Very satisfied with the professionalism, quality of work, and attention to detail given by this team! Our project was not only removal and replacement of old insulation with the spray-foam type, but new spray-foam added to an existing extension of the house -- a job of significant size that took approximately three days. Yet there were no cut corners, communication was thorough and prompt at all stages, and a follow-up was made after the job was done to ensure that thoroughness of work. It does indeed feel like a new house, not a foreclosure that we're sprucing up! Nothing but praise for a team that clearly cares about their work and their clients.

After reading the numerous positive reviews posted, we decided to go with Sunlight Contractors. Ira Bosch and his crew have been an excellent first class team during the entire process. With their knowledge base and expertise in water damage and mold remediation, our family has received superb service. Due to the water damage and black mold, we've been forced to evacuate our home and move into a hotel. Ira has made it a priority to insure our home is being remediated immediately. His team has worked on our home every day for over two weeks now with the job nearing completion. Ira has been in daily contact with me via text, phone calls, email, and has been diligent with sending me photos and video of the work being done. Sunlight Contractors is installing spray foam insulation in our attic and a new HVAC unit. Due to the water damage, Sunlight Contractors has installed new flooring in our home in the affected areas. I recently had spray foam insulation added to my home by Sunlight Contractors. From the beginning, I knew that Ira and his team were the right ones to do the job. His formative experience in the industry, the professionalism of his team, the efficiency of the job, and the final product all contributed to a wonderful experience. Ira knows his stuff better than any installer in the city and I know because I called multiple outfits before choosing Sunlight. My home would surely not be as efficient as it is now had I gone with a different outfit and the care they took performing the job over three days in my home was very rare in the realm of contractors. They didn’t finish the job until they knew I was satisfied. When there were a couple things that needed to be remedied after the job was complete, they came the next day and took full responsibility. Would I use Sunlight again? Wouldn’t hesitate for a bit.

It went very well. They came on Friday morning and finished within 4 hours. Cleaned up after themselves. Called the owner when there was a missed spot and they came next day and filled it. Very professional. Called me after job was done to make sure I was happy.

My contractor who was performing the work called and said his foam man could not be out for 2 weeks and it would hold up the job. I went on Angie's list and started calling. I was able to talk with the owner of Sunlight immediately and he came out within a day moving scheduled appointments to handle my small job. I have given them a solid A review although I did not have time to shop around for pricing. My contractor seemed to think it was a good deal and was very grateful for their immediate response.

Mr. Ira, Mr. Allen, and their crew at Sunlight Contractors did a superb job from start to finish! I purchased an older home which had many "DIY" styled repairs that ultimately caused more trouble, so I knew I would need a certain kind of expertise to properly correct these issues. Ira and Allen came out and performed a thorough inspection - detailing what was needed, why, and what my options were. After providing a fair and competitive price, they had a crew onsite the very next day to completely replace the soffit and fascia around the entire exterior of my home and install drip edge to prevent future problems. Ira sent me photographs of the work as it progressed each day, and the crew was meticulous about cleaning and securing their materials each evening. When we ran into unexpected issues, Ira and Allen both went above and beyond to keep me informed and worked with me on the additional cost which was a lifesaver and so very appreciated. The work was completed in a timely fashion and Allen performed a final walk through with me to explain the work and answer any questions I had. Ira and Allen also spoke with me at length about future projects and the order of operations needed to ensure efficiency. The entire crew was very courteous and friendly, and I will absolutely call Sunlight when I'm ready for the next phase of renovations.

I moved to town in August and bought a 90 year-old East Carrollton house that was nice on the surface, but underneath, OMG...fallen insulation, bricks, pipes, standing water, feral cats, downed wires...I wanted closed cell foam insulation but didn't even know anyone to clean it out. I called Sunlight and when I described my mess, Ira Bosh says, "that's what we do." By the next day I had an estimate and a timeline, (which included site clean-up, drying out, 20 new joists, a new beam, a new pier and the insulation--he didn't try to sell me anything that wasn't needed). 10 days later, the job was done, properly and on the agreed budget. The workmen are punctual, polite and hard-working. Ira treats them with respect. I now have floors that don't bounce, a crawl space that isn't toxic and a properly-insulated house.

Two days prior to scheduling your service I decided to prove to my husband that what was coming through our ceiling vents was unhealthy. He was not able to understand about an odor that was irritating to me and he could not smell it. Having had numerous sinus surgeries and infection, my sinus was wide open to pollutants. Now, my proof was to stand in front of a ceiling vent as it actively blew the irritating odor and the air, heavy with particles of fiber unseen by the naked eye. I didn’t realize how serious my proof would be. Immediately, I started feeling the fiber in my throat and eyes. It was there alright. We scheduled to remove the 50 year old fiberglass and cellulose insulation on Friday, October 12th with . The SunLight team arrived with equipment to vacuum and haul away what had caused destruction to my life for years. My proof had further caused fluid in my ears probably because I was coughing so hard. While some very capable, caring people from SunLight continued to work to improve conditions in the attic and in my home, I was sent to the doctor and then my son’s home. On Saturday, October 13th, my birthday, I was receiving the most unusual gift I’ve ever received, polyurethane foam insulation. I hope you will consider the air that you breathe and that your children breathe. I don’t guarantee considering allergy as a cause for frequent irritation and infection but it took me a long time to realize where it was coming from. I don’t recommend proving it. Now, that I am back in my home, I can tell there is a define change. The air seems lighter, fresher and BREATHABLE. YES! It’s cooler and the air conditioner doesn’t run as much and as long. A little over a year ago, my wife and I purchased the home that we hoped to watch our children grow up in. Just recently, however, we noticed kitchen tiles cracking and laminate flooring warping in our living room. After some online research, I discovered the likely problem: subfloor moisture and potentially mold. With such a significant potential problem, my wife and I scoured the internet to find the proper company for the job. We soon discovered that only one company appeared to encompass the expertise needed to solve our problem. That company was Sunlight Contractors. During my initial conversation with Ira, he ensured me that Sunlight would solve our problem. He explained the process needed to remove the moisture and mold from our subfloors so that my family could return to our normal lives. Within two days, Ira sent Clayton to inspect my home. Clayton took moisture readings from under my home and removed insulation to check for moisture and mold on the exterior of the subfloors. His moisture readings were high, very high. Clayton told me that the moisture under my house was the second highest he had ever seen. He also explained to me that my house was covered in mold. Clayton explained his findings to Ira, who warned me that my house was "sick." Despite these scary diagnoses, Clayton and Ira's demeanor kept my wife and I calm and reassured. Although our problems were serious, Ira assured us that our problems would be resolved. Clayton even provided empathy: suggesting that bad things like this unfortunately happen to good people, but health, family, and God trump all. Clayton and Ira, unlike many others in the industry, were not simply looking for another payday, they were compassionate. Since our initial phone conversation, there has been a lot of progress on our home. Ira's crew, including Clayton, have 1) removed all the insulation from under my house, 2) sprayed and killed the mold on the bottom of the subfloors, 3) started the process of drying the subfloors with an indirect heater, 4) demolished the interior floors of our home to assess the damage from the interior, 5) sprayed mold on the interior of our subfloors, 6) checked for mold behind the walls (thankfully there was none), and 7) arranged for interior dehumidifiers to dry the interior of the subfloors. We are still towards the beginning stages of our process, but so far I cannot be any more pleased than I am with Sunlight Contractors. The upcoming work schedule includes continued drying and mold remediation, application of closed-cell spray foam insulation on the exterior of our subfloors, and installing new tile and laminate flooring throughout the house. Thus far, Ira and his crew have done amazing work and have the unique characteristics to keep you calm during dark days. I cannot recommend this company enough. If you have subfloor moisture problems, you do not need to think twice about calling Sunlight Contractors. They will get the job done, and will do so with unparalleled professionalism, courtesy, and compassion.

The past few months have probably been the most difficult and stressful time of my life. My youngest son was born with a rare congenital disorder called agenesis of the corpus callosum. The affects of this disorder can range from virtually asymptomatic to severe neurological disabilities. The last thing I needed was to discover an extensive moisture and mold problem growing under the subfloor of my home. Clayton and his crew were out the next day pulling down insulation, remediating the mold and drying out the subfloor. Unfortunately, because the mold and moisture problem had been neglected for so long by the previous owner, all our flooring would need to be replaced. The flooring expert came out that night measuring how much we’d need and began demo within 3 days of his initial visit. Sunlight Contractors have been professional, fast and fairly priced. They have made what is a very stressful time in my life so much easier and I am very grateful. They’ve allowed me to focus on my family and not have to worry about my house.
