Ira and Cleyton did a great job insulating my mom's attic! Great job! Very quick as well. Quick quote and quick start date. Other companies were 3 or more weeks away from starting. Cleyton did the quote then 3 days later started and finished the job! Excellent service!! Answered all my questions and returned my calls quickly as well.

After 50-plus years of building houses, wooden boats, and Hollywood sets, among other pursuits, this is the last house I'll ever build. It's our retirement home, my wife and I, and I am so happy I found Sunlight Contractors. Now I didn't exactly stumble across Sunlight, I did my research. And if you're considering spray foam, I suggest you do your research of the pros and cons of both closed and open cell spray foam for your particular application. Secondly, research all of the spray foam contractors that you are considering. If you think spray foam insulation is right for you, make sure that the company and the installers are certified by the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) Professional Certification Program (PCP). This certification, as well as a Louisiana Contractor's license, and insurance, are an absolute must-have for anyone doing spray foam insulation. Sunlight's founder and owner Corey Yates has the certification, as well as certifications from the Building Performance Institute, and the North American Board of certified energy professionals. When I called Ira at Sunlight, he did not know I had done my homework and knew what was right for my application. I wanted to see if he would steer me towards a particular product or service. He did not. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and asked all the right questions. He agreed that closed cell foam was the right product for the vaulted ceiling and under the floor of my raised house. The walls, which I wanted to be vapor permeable, could be a candidate for open cell spray foam, but Ira told me a cheaper option might be a Batt product or blown-in cellulose. I really appreciated this, since it's exactly what I had in mind. I could do the work myself and save some money. I hired Sunlight on the spot. When the three-man crew came out to do the job, I was pleasantly surprised to find Corey Yates himself as the crew leader, personally handling the absolutely crucial heating and mixing of the two chemicals. The gentleman doing the actual spraying had 30 years experience doing just that. They quickly set up their equipment and then, even though I had already covered the doors, windows and floors to protect from over-spray and drips (and to save a few bucks), installed curtain walls to further contain the mess. Just four hours later, they were done. They cleaned up their mess, (they left my mess-can't blame them), I inspected the job and they were gone. All in all, one of the best experiences I've had with a sub-contractor in a long time. Hours later, after my third or fourth inspection of the job, I found a six- inch square bare patch under the house in a dark and obscured hard to reach corner. No big deal. A seven dollar can of foam from the big box store will take care of that. I couldn't be happier with Sunlight. They did a great job at a fair and reasonable price. Now I'm considering them for some of the other services they offer. We used Sunlight Contractors to replace the overhang on our front porch. Ira and his team did a great job and his team were in contact communication with us, which was wonderful. They worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the projects quickly and as scheduled. The overhang looks fantastic and now has a slope that prevents water build-up. They did such a great job and were quick and efficient. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have any type of roof repair.

Sunlight called me back on Thursday to confirm what was needed. On Monday morning they brought out all the trades people (termite, plumbing, a/c, electrical, roof) to give review the issues and provide quotes. Our experience replacing the roof of our home has been great with Sunlight Contractors. The owner, Ira, was involved in the whole process. He showed us the areas where sheathing had rotted and needed to be replaced. He kept us informed of what was going on and what would happen next. Contacted Sunlight Contractors about removing fiberglass insulation underneath my house and installing foam insulation. Ira answered his phone after business hours from home and gave me information. The crew showed up promptly to remove the insulation on Monday and returned on Tuesday to install the foam insulation. Crews were very polite and professional. All work was completed promised and area left clean. Will you again for insulation of our attic.

Ira and his staff were very responsive. They came out to inspect the roof at my convenience on the following Saturday. Scheduling the work was easy as well. The job took longer than expected. It was expected to take 1 day, but ended up taking 2 days. The roof came out very well. The only issue we had was cleanup. It took a few days for the final cleanup, and Ira came out himself to take care of it. I appreciated the hands-on effort he made to ensure we were satisfied. Overall, I would hire them again.

I’m so glad I went with Sunlight Contractors, Ira is great he makes sure the job is done right the first time and will make sure the customer is satisfied with the job. Sometimes a home inspection can ruin the deal when your home is for sale. A home inspector may be an expert in spotting issues, but not necessarily an expert in cost effective repair or remediation of the same issues and end up scaring buyers away. Sunlight Contractors is an expert in both and in this situation made the necessary fixes for thousands of dollars less than the home inspector proposed, getting the house back on the market quickly. The problem at hand was wet subfloors caused by high humidity. Out of all the contractors that came out to write a quote on the job, Sunlight Contractors appeared by far to be the most organized and professional operation. You don't want to let just anyone work on your home, but they will make you feel comfortable with their expertise in moisture remediation and spray foam insulation. Ira, the boss, was able to answer every question asked of him and was nothing less than honest. After many Google searches and online research, everything Ira recommended turned out to be legitimate. Research and customer reviews determined Sunlight Contractors was a licensed contractor, both residential and commercial, that could successfully remediate or fix anything. The sunlight crew, led by Clayton, even identified, and fixed some other preexisting issues around the house that they saw needed to be fixed and didn't charge a penny. The house no longer has moisture under the floors, has a spray foam vapor barrier to prevent it from happening again, and indoor humidity levels are lower than they have ever been and is now better than new.

Sunlight Contractors does amazing work. I witnessed the results of Sunlight Contractors fixing the shoddy work of an irresponsible, negligent contractor that caused thousands of dollars in damage. I have come to learn that it is very important to remove moisture from the subfloor of a home before insulating it with spray foam. Several years back, the floors of this home were insulated with a high moisture content, eventually causing mold, rot, and the floor to buckle. After being contacted, Ira from Sunlight Contractors was very knowledgeable and immediately knew what to do to solve the problem for good. The job took three weeks, but Clayton, Ira, and the crew were on time for the duration and explained the process every step of the way. They treated the job like it was their priority and did not leave or prolong the process by taking on other jobs. The crew was required to remove spray foam installed by the previous company, remove and replace rotted flooring, and remove all mold and moisture from the flooring before applying closed cell spray foam. Unlike the previous company, Sunlight Contractors not only removed moisture from the wood, but also guaranteed in writing that there would be no future moisture issues. Do not trust just any company. Make sure you go with experts, who know what they are doing and stand behind their work, in writing.

Received an inspection and quote within hours of phone call to Ira at Sunlight Contractors. I paid a deposit for materials up front; and less than a week later work began on the roof. Rotten/weak boards were replaced as well as flashing/roof jacks. The job took a day and a half to complete due to rain.
