Like most, we shopped around for quotes and ultimately found similar prices. However Sunlight stood out to us through our conversations and the knowledge they portrayed. Ira, in the office, was very kind to answer the many questions that we had. As a individual in the construction industry, my fiance was impressed that he was not just "talk" but truly knew the ins and outs of the roof heat transfer, construction codes, and building envelope design. Not only was Sunlight Contractors professional, but they have passion to get the job done right. The whole process was very quick and easy. The results have been amazing. While our thermostat settings have not changed, the house now has a constant comfort level that was missing. We are no longer hot waiting for the air unit to kick on. The house is able to maintain our temperature and has allowed us to make the attic a useable storage space that we do not dread going up into. We would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors.

We purchased a shotgun home during the Winter and quickly found out this month (June) that we were in for a hot summer. We kept ALL of our windows closed to try and block out additional heat from the sun but our a/c struggled to keep the house at 75 degrees and ran for 14+ hours a day. I decided to give Sunlight Contractors a call and Ira was extremely helpful from the get-go. Our attic was completed Saturday (6/20) afternoon and at 2pm Sunday while 95 degrees outside the attic was 80 degrees. We immediately noticed after the attic was finished that the air coming out of the vents is much cooler and isn't hot/stale when it first comes out. The floor was finished Monday (6/22) completing the seal of the airspace. We're definitely seeing a difference in the amount of time our A/C runs and it's nice to actually be able to have our windows open during the day! I'm attaching our Nest history spanning before/after the installation to show our results. Would definitely do business with the Sunlight team again.

I had received multiple quotes and Sunlight was not only the best value, but also the most informative and responsive. Ira was in constant contact with me before the job and sent very detailed information about all of their products. He helped get the insulation installed sooner than originally quoted to conform to my schedule. On the day of installation there was an issue with their van so they were running late - but Ira called as soon as he knew and a sales rep showed up to inform me of the issues and wait for the van to arrive. I was very impressed with their quick response to this issue and dedication to inform me. Once they arrive setup went quickly and my AC went out randomly so they helped me troubleshoot it and found a loose connection in a junction box which they fixed! Both before and after installing the insulation they explained everything and took me into the attic to show me exactly what they were going to do. I appreciated this very much. Now that the insulation is installed my AC is running roughly half as often as it used to. I can finally cool down my new (old) house! A huge thanks to Sunlight and I would recommend to anyone looking to make their house more efficient. A rare experience these days to work with a contractor who is so invested in his client's satisfaction.

I found out about Sunlight Contractors on yellowpages.com. I contacted them last year but at the time I found out I wasn't completely ready. Later, I was contacted again and was still not ready. Then finally on the third follow up I was ready. They came out to measure my attic space and shortly after provided me with a quote. A month later I got the work done,it is now a month since work has been completed and I can say that I am satisfied with the difference it has made it my home so far. The process was quick and the crew finished sooner than they said they would. My only issue was with the cleanup afterward, some overspray was left near attic stairs and when I open the stair some pieces of foam fall down. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone having energy or insulation issues, already have my neighbor interested!

We were very satisfied with the details of what the job entailed. We didn?t realize how over whelming the information would be and that we are not prepared at that time to make a more informed decision. So waiting to have this done till that time.

Have decided to go with sunlight to do the insulation work in my attic and my sub-floor after speaking with three other insulation contractors. My was this the best decision that I have ever made. His workers came out measured the job, did a bunch of test with really expensive equipment, gave me handouts about the foam and cellulose options for my attic, and guaranteed me that I would get a call or email with a quote before the day was out (which happened within hours). When I got the quote I also received a call from Mr. Ira about the quote, his recommendations, and the many rebates that I would be eligible for. At that moment I knew for sure this was the company I was going with. The price was a little (very little) bit more than the quotes I received but the job came with so much more (seven more inches of cellulose in attic and another inch on my sub-floor). This deal is a no brainier. Mr. Ira (who is the owner) has be nothing less than spectacular with constant communication (phone, email) about the product, his service, certification, and knowledge of this line of work. He has answered every question imaginable and sent me more literature than I can handle in regards to completing the job. His overall knowledge of insulation is only super-seeded by his passion for the work and professionalism. All this is still even before the work is going to be done. My start day is Friday is and I am super excited and can not wait to do the post review.

I actually got to talk to IRA from doing some research on the internet for another foam install company. The other company was going to put 3 inches of open cell foam in my attic and then I saw IRA's company would put 5.5 inches. I called him and he explained the reasoning behind the extra foam,like better insulation qualities. He also explained what I should look for in a foam installation company, not just his but any company. He sent me all kinds of literature,telling me about the company that makes the open cell insulation. So I set up an appointment for his guys to come out and measure my attic and then give me a quote. In a timely manner IRA got back to me with a price that wasn't that much higher than the other guys 3 inches of foam plus he is doing some extra testing that the other guy didn't offer. This will be part one of my review being I just signed the quote for Sunlight to do the work. So far they have schooled me well about this investment to keep my family comfortable and hopefully save some money too. All the things he told me makes sense, like keeping the attic cooler which will keep the a/c ducts cooler and that means colder air coming into the house. If the attic is cooler less heat will radiate through the ceiling too. Plus the insulation makes the house more air tight, so the cool air I have in the house will stay there longer. If you are on the fence about what to do, give IRA a call and he'll explain it all to you, plus do some research yourself on the internet. It's hard for me to give the price an A just for the fact who really wants to spend any of there hard earned money, but after comparing other companies and what you get for your money they seem to have the best deal. Time will tell for sure and I will let yall know the outcome, stay tuned.

My story starts with my wife and I discussing spray foam insulation in our home. Our home was built in 1948 and was not very well insulated. We decided to seek some bids to determine if this was an option for us. Out of the 4 contractors who showed up to give me an estimate only one seemed to have their act together. Sunlight Contractors (Dr Energy Saver NOLA) came in with a computerized negative pressure system and a Heat Sensing Camera to show me where my problem areas were. No one else even came close to this presentation, and Sunlight's estimate was comparable to the others with so much more attention to the job. So we decided to get the job done with Sunlight Contractors. Let me start by saying I was in construction for 15 years and therefore I am a picky customer. With saying that, all construction jobs have their ups and downs as to contractor's and customer's views on how things are going to work out. Sunlight Contractors (Dr Energy Saver NOLA) handled everything in stride. After the completion of the installation the Sunlight Contractor's supervisor took care of everything with a thorough walk through of the project and He personally addressed all issues that were found. Now for the even better news... I came home one day and noticed the power bill on the counter. I decided to take a look at it and noticed a considerably lower use of energy. May of 2015 showed 957 kWh used and May of 2014 showed 1388 kWh used. Simple math shows that last year there was 45% more energy used. Wow! It was then that I had to say something. If you're thinking about spray foam insulation you need to contact Sunlight Contractor's LLC and have them come out to your house, but be sure to contact a few others so you can truly appreciate what Sunlight shows you.

The communications was excellent. This contractor had the lowest cost of three estimates. The on site estimate was punctual, professional and pleasant. The service was provided at the time agreed. The clean up after the job was complete was superb. Should you need spray on insulation, please consider this supplier. You will not be disappointed.

I recently had Sunlight Contractors LLC install installation into my attic and garage wall. Everyone at Sunlight Contractors were very professional and extremely cordial. Due to severe weather and a power outage, Sunlight Contractors were not able to finish on the day they had my house scheduled, so in order to keep me -- their customer ? happy, they returned the next day during the afternoon when the attic-heat was at a premium; and completed the job! Thanks to everyone at Sunlight Contractors LLC. I appreciate the care that each person there puts into the work that they perform for each of their customers!

Before booking, they spent a lot of extra time answering my questions and were up front in giving me all of their certifications and licenses. The services were provided over 2 days - they arrived on time both days, and were very efficient. After finishing the attic, they cleaned up the floors including sweeping and vacuuming. Afterwards, they even sent someone to inspect that the spray foam was even and I had gotten the coverage I was promised. I was very impressed with this company and its employees from booking the job to completion and would highly recommend them.

4/3/15: Sunlight has been excellent to work with. The sales rep Ira provided me with the appropriate level of information about the services and the products they utilize, and let me decide about the final plan. What most impressed me was that Mr. Ira told me what to look for in ANY installer--'whoever you wind up choosing, make sure they provide this kind of information about the product, these kind of certifications and contracting licenses,' etc. He also talked me out of unnecessary expenses (that would have meant more profit for him) and helped me understand why I would or would not need to do various things to seal the house. This proved a very useful sales tactic--I sought other estimates, and felt better equipped to compare services, and eventually came back to Sunlight because, after all this, their prices and availability were the best. The only (and most important) factor I cannot yet comment upon is how much of a difference the insulation makes in the comfort of my home and its effect on my previously ridiculous AC bills in the summer and gas heating bills in the winter. I will amend the review when I have that information. 6/5/15: Sunlight did my attic on 4/29/15. Again, they were on time, fast, neat, and respectful of the property. Spraying the attic took about four hours. The odor was detectable in the attic of course and in the laundry room where the attic steps fold down; both were gone in a few days. The service has been completed for about five weeks now. It is obvious that the house is cooler and quieter. My AC cycles less frequently and has to work less hard to keep the house comfortable. I have the thermostat set to 76-78 when home and thus far it's been able to maintain this easily with shorter/fewer cycles. My electric/gas bill for May 2015 was $28. It was $85 a year ago. (I do have solar panels, and don't necessarily keep my house frigid, but my usage patterns are pretty steady from year to year, so some of that decrease is definitely due to the foam under the house and under the roof. Your termite guys don't like foam for obvious reasons--they can no longer directly see the subfloor and the underside of the rafters in the attic when the time comes for inspection. I had tented my home in 12/2014 for drywood termites (I saw frass in multiple rooms in the house, not because they saw something under the house or in the attic on inspection--not sure they've ever been IN my attic) and I think you should consider timing something like this immediately after the next time you have to tent, if possible, so that the foam is hiding as termite-free wood as possible, because it is true that the termite guys can't see as well. And I recommend talking this over with your termite contractor beforehand; mine (J&J) said that the presence of foam does not nullify the contract. All in all, this is a GREAT service--Sunlight priced their product/installation competitively and the customer service is just outstanding. I think if I called Ira at 0300 with a burning question, he'd probably take my call--his commitment to satisfaction is just very obvious. If you are looking at insulating your home, Sunlight is an excellent choice, based on my experience.

Throughout my dealings with Sunlight Contractors I felt the price was good for the quality I received for the installation. I was well informed and comfortable with the services being provided. Sunlight Contractors crew promptly arrived on time as scheduled and got the job done efficiently with minimal sound disturbance and all crew members were extremely friendly and respectful of my home. I would recommend Sunlight to anyone needing spray foam insulation wether under your home or attic. I used Sunlight for both under my home and attic insulation and I am very pleased with the results.

It went great. They arrived promptly when they said they would. They were very fast and got the job done in a timely manner. afterwards they cleaned up and brought all of the trash to the front. They were all nice and easy to talk to and would definitely use them again or refer them to a friend.

In selecting a company for my insulation job, my thing is to check out yellowpages.com, the Better Business Bureau, and now Angies list. I would not even consider a company that don't have an A rating with the BBB this company have an A+ with outstanding reviews at yellowpages.com so I knew this was the one. I really wasn't sure which type insulation even after watching numerous YouTube videos and goggling insulation, this company gave me reference material on different types of insulation and advised which would be best for my home. It was a bit pricey but I figured in the long run it'll be worth it saving on electric and gas. The team that came out Brian, Cory and the others were very pleasing to deal with. They were courteous , very professional, and handled my home with the utmost respect. I thought there would be a big mess after the job because I have carpet throughout the house but they took care to cover it and I didn't even have to vacuum when they were done, how about that. Ira was there for me from start to finish and even called to ask if I felt a difference. Well the same day of the job I noticed I didn't have to put the thermostat on 68 degrees to cool the house and the unit cuts on/off like it should. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone needing insulation.

I met with Bryan to measure the space. He was punctual and answered all my questions. I had several email discussions with Ira and discussed sealing the ductwork and plenum, which were in the crawl space. I received the price proposal for the added scope, which I thought was necessary to complete the insulation project. I never felt pressured to accept the added work scope. But I did add it. The installation was scheduled and was completed on schedule. I inspected the area under my house after the installation and found it to be clean of any trash from the spray foam project. The sub floor and the ducts were sealed. The work was done professionally with minimal disruption to me. I would recommend Sunlight Contractors.

In particular we discussed sealing the ductwork which was also under the house in the crawl space. Ultimately we decided to seal the ductwork, which was my decision - I never felt pressured to do the added scope. We scheduled the work and the installation crew arrived on time, installed the product, including additional support to the ductwork, and left the area clean. I already feel the difference and have noticed the longer times between cycles of the AC unit.
