I cannot say how pleased I am with Sunlight Contractors. They followed through with everything we were promised. They were extremely easy to deal with and the work was completed on time as promised. They came to provide quote but I did not receive one. I emailed and asked about it and they told me to contact whoever did the previous insulation job but wouldn't give me a reason why.

I found this company on Angie's List as one of the highest rated spray foam companies. The team just wrapped up a job spraying a high quality closed foam under our Gentilly NOLA home to help with our floors in the winter months (last winter my feet stayed frozen) and over all energy improvement. Another overlooked plus that I'm already noticing, the foam has reduced floor noise when walking through the house. It's much more quiet. It also feels stronger and much more solid when walking on it. I am looking forward to seeing the results of the product this winter. Corey's team worked fast, and from what I could see did a very thorough job handling the short crawl space. The owner Ira was very kind and helpful. He gave me a great price. I would recommend this team for any spray foam job in NOLA. Looking forward to warmer feet!

Absolutely worth the investment!!! Our attic was incomplete when it came to insulation. So my husband and I decided to call SUNlight Contractors to get a quote. We decided to invest in the spray foam and turns out we made an excellent choice. This summer has been extremely hot and humid, but 24 hours after installation our house is comfortable to stay in. Not only are we happy with the product but SUNlight Contractors, LLC were top notch. They exceeded all of our expectations. Originally the company was a recommendation from a family member and I can not say enough on the professionalism and promptness of these guys. The entire process was super easy from receiving a quote to answering questions and concerns. Tuesday the 2 young men arrived and set up their equipment and started installing the insulation in the attic . It was very hot outside and it was even hotter in the attic but these 2 guys went to work. I was very impressed with their teamwork and efficiency and in a couple hours they were finished and everything was cleaned up.They were polite and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to tell others about Sunlight Contractors LLC and the great job they did for me.

. They provide a quote for the total job. This was based on a screening by Derrick Carr who made a pre and post inspection. The quote was competitive even though Sunlight had an agreed to do the work on a Saturday. This was important to us since the wife if partial paralyzed and was suffering from the heat. The installation went well with Alan Carr and his crew, Louis and Chris. The owner or the company stayed in touch with telephone calls before, during and after the installation. I am well please with the installation. Now my air-conditioner can cycle on and off where before it ran continuously and had trouble holding temperature. Installation of the attic insulation has been a good investment

Perfect except for a few places where the foam did not cover to my liking. They came right back within two days and corrected the problem. They were very prompt, polite and friendly and most of all professional and very well trained in their job. They did exactly what they said they would do.

My house always had problems cooling off during the summer months. After finally being fed up with expensive electricity bills I decided to do something about it. I spoke to my brother and he recommended Sunlight Contractors siting their expertise in ac and insulation. I gave Ira a call and within a couple hours Cody was at my house explaining what I needed to do to fix my problems. I now have an installation date and can't wait for my house to feel better and start reaping the benefits of cheaper electric bills. Sidenote : my in stallion is scheduled for 7/31/2015 I will give u guys an update on the work it's done, I have no reason to believe it will be anything short of amazing just as everything has been. Very impressed with the explanation of what was going to be done, how it was going to be done and the responsiveness of Ira and his crew. When I started this project I called 3 Companies to get quotes, Ira responded almost immediately, one company responded 2 days later and gave conflicting information and did not put anything in writing and I never did receive a response from the 3rd. Sunlight was the only one that put anything in writing. The process itself was painless, Ira's crew was very professional and respectful of one's time and domicile. What impressed me the most was the fact that Ira was constantly checking up as to what was going on, took pictures of the work, were there any issues that needed to be addressed, got me on the phone to check in to see how it was all going, and made sure that the dates set for completions and review were still satisfactory. Going over and above all other experiences I have encountered in New Orleans. Now the Job is done, it's too early to see any significant results vis a vis utility bills, I have noticed that the A/C unit is not running 24/7 and we are able to maintain a comfortable 76-77 degree's in the house (incidentally the attic is now constantly 80-82 deg vs 150 Deg the day of the initial inspection) We know the "blower test" results were not as good as was expected as this Olde House needs to have the Floors insulated, a project to be completed this coming Fall and I most certainly will have Sunlight insulate the floor with the closed cell insulation.

At first I was unsure whether to go with open cell or closed cell on a metal roof.I called 3 companys and demanded the owners to come out and explain to me,which is better for me to use .Not only did Ira the salesman form sunlight contractors were the first to respond he also set a date for a consolation. The owner corey came out and explained the answers to all my questions.I kept enterating that I wanted a good job.He told me that his supervisor Allen Carr would be on the job from start to finish and he would make sure that all my needs are met.Well ,when allen and his guys arrived i was standing on my porch like a drill sargent.I told him that i will be watching him like a hawk and i wanted a good job. Allen went over every inch of the attic and told me the procedures and the correct way to install the open cell.Allen and his guys did that.Allen carr and his guys were very respectful and professional.Last week I set my a/c at 79 degrees and it would not shut off.this week i set my a/c at 72 and it shuts off for most of the day and its hot.Wow this really works.Now I'm actually can be comfortable in my own house.I feel like i should have done this a long time ago.I feel like sunlight contracting did the best job.They are and will be hard to out perform,and guess what, they beat the other two companies bids.Thanks sunlight contracting.I will tell all my friends and family.

I had a good experience with Sunlight. They came out quickly to measure and gave me a quote that actually ended up being a few thousand less than one of their competitors. Ira answered all my questions thoroughly and even some I hadn't thought to ask. The removal of the old insulation and installation of the new went smoothly. It's been about a month since I had the work done, and my house has been comfortable even in the middle of this heat wave. I just got my first Entergy bill since the work was done, and though average temperatures in July 2015 were 2 degrees warmer than in July 2014, my bill was down 28% (about $60), from what it was last year. Update 11/17/15: I've downgraded the professionalism grade I previously gave Sunlight. Ira had always been a little pushy about customers writing reviews. I got multiple emails from him prodding me to do so, even when I said I wanted to wait until I'd gotten my first new Entergy bill, and after I wrote a review, he wanted me to post it not just on craigslist but also on facebook and other platforms. It was a little annoying, but understandable; it's his livelihood, and since overall I was satisfied with the job Sunlight did, I wrote him a positive review. But today I got a call and spoke to a woman who said she was moving from Florida to New Orleans and interested in getting insulation for her house. She said she had gotten my number from a list of previous customers, and that she wanted my opinion on Sunlight, since she'd heard some bad stories about the company. I was a little suspicious since her number came up on my Caller ID as Sunlight Contractors, and when I googled the number afterwards, I saw that it was listed in the white pages online as Ira's number. I called her back to ask about that, but she insisted she had no affiliation with Sunlight, that she was calling from a house phone in Florida, that she thought Sunlight was just a Louisiana company. I said well that's really weird. So maybe it is a coincidence and she just happened to move into a house Ira used to live in. But I thought I should update my review to let you know there's a good chance that any reference you call has been pre-screened by the Boshnacks to make sure their opinions are acceptable. I'm guessing they will not be putting my name on the reference list after this, so I'll say that I would still use Sunlight again. Their price was good and I still think they did a good job (I hope); I just wish they didn't conduct their business like this.

I have been absolutely blown away by my experience with Sunlight Contractors. From the very moment I called, Ira was helpful, responsive, and easy to talk to. After our first conversation he sent me all kinds of videos that educated me on exactly what was going on in my house and why it was losing so much heat in the winter and cool air in the winter. I cannot tell you what it was a relief to find someone who was an expert in this field, that I could trust to guide me in the right direction. I shopped around for a couple quotes and Sunlight was on par?if not less than?other contractors that weren?t nearly as pleasant to work with or as knowledgeable in their field. Because I work at home I was in an extra hurry to get the work done and Ira bent over backwards to make sure it got on their schedule as quickly as possible. When his team arrived they were friendly, informative, and considerate and dare I say even fun to be around. They did what?s called a blower test and walked me around the house showing me where exactly all the air leaks are and giving me tips on how to improve things not even related to the work they were doing! I?ve only had my spray foam attic installed today, so this glowing review is speaking to how awesome the Sunlight team is, without even having first hand experience with their product!! I?ll make sure to update my review once I?ve lived with my new roof for a few weeks but all signs point to me absolutely loving it. If you are miserable in your house, and confused or frustrated about what to do about it, CALL THEM NOW and at least understand your options. They are great at educating newbie home owners like me without any sales pressure whatsoever. Thank you Sunlight!

Fantastic!!! They were on time and worked 5-6 hrs. Nonstop! Totally cleaned up after they completed, they were very responsive and took care of my home like if it was their own, showed a lot of respect for my property! Corey Yates was a pleasure to talk to, answered my question without any hesitation, a true well knowledge professional! Kudos to the whole team, they worked like a well-oiled machine!

Sunlight contractors provided spray foam insulation in the attic and below the floors in an old single-family shotgun home that was always too hot or too cold. It is a rental house and there was constant tenant turnover because the utility bills were too high and the place was uncomfortable. Through the summer, the thermostat was set at 73 or 74 and the temperature in the house stayed in the 80s. I tried to fix the problem on my own by blowing in cellulose insulation twice, adding a radiant barrier in the attic, weatherstripping doors and sealing duct work. I even had Energy perform an audit on the electric meter. Nothing worked so I cut the rent to help with the high bills. Alan came out to perform an energy audit on the house and quoted me for the spray foam insulation. I waited several months hoping my remedies would work but they did not. I decided to take one last shot at fixing the problem by calling Alan back to foam the house. So far, the house temp stays in line with the thermostat and now the attic even stays in the 80s. Problem finally solved!

I recently moved into the home that I was raised in and, as expected with any older home, I had many issues to address. I had a new a/c unit installed; however, the temperature in the home always exceeded the temperature set on the thermostat. I eventually learned that the insulation in my attic was insufficient and partially to blame for my cooling issues. I found myself in need of an insulation company. I asked around and a friend located Sunlight Contractors, LLC on Angie's List. I called other companies as well to ensure I received the best deal at the best price. The initial quote from Sunlight Contractors was above my budget; however, Ira advised me of a more affordable option. Ira's professionalism, the business' reputation, and the fact that Ira provided videos and documentation to ensure I was well informed of the various services the company offers, made my decision to choose Sunlight Contractors a "no brainer". I had my service completed and the company exceeded my expectations!!!! Though the insulation has decreased the temperature in my home, I've continued to have cooling issues (unrelated to the attic insulation). Sunlight Contractors has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure I'm satisfied and comfortable in my home. They even came out to work with my a/c repairman to conduct thermal imaging in an effort to identify and resolve the matter. I feel like I'm apart of the Sunlight Contractors family, and I recommend this outstanding company to any business or home owner in need of insulation/energy saving services! This company is completely unbelievable. They are unlike any company that I have worked with before. From the initial date that I contacted them they were extremely professional, timely, detailed, and passionate about the work. They came into my home immediately after I called looked at the job, ran a bunch of test which I never before knew existed in regards to air quality, and amount of energy being lost outside of my home. They then did the measurements and the gentlemen walked me through what was taking place in my home and advised me that someone would call me later that day with a quote. Just as they said later that day I received a call from one of the owners (Mr. IRA) giving me the quote which was completely reasonable compared to the other quotes I received from other companies I called. The owner also talked me through all the quotes and options available to me and suggested to me the best option for my home with no pressure at all. He then sent me massive amounts of reading material and videos about what I would be getting and the benefit I would receive should I move forward on the job. At no point in the process did I feel pressured or obligated to move forward with this company. The owner seemed to care about me as the customer rather than a dollar sign. I went through with this company and got the job done within this next couple of days. Both my attic and subfloor was done in a matter of hours and immediately I began to feel the difference. This is not all though. In the next couple of days I had a problem caused from my A/C company because of a leak from a pipe in my attic. The leak was caused by not up to code work done in my attic with the return unit. This unit began to leak and cause my insulation to become wet and my roof began to leak. My A/C company refused to come out and address the issue; but would you believe than Sunlight Contractors came out the next day at the crack of dawn to address the issue which was not even their fault. I can not say enough about this company. The leadership of Mr. Ira is incredible I would reccomend this company to anyone. They are a first class company with great leadership who cares about their customers.

The company is extremely knowledgeable and affordable. I did extensive research on spray foam before making a choice and Ira really made the difference in my decision. Thanks Guys, couldn't have asked for a better job. Home is very comfortable and for once in 10 years, my A/C unit shuts off! The thermostat actually reads 70 degrees instead of 85, simply amazing. The process for consumers is hard enough. Sometime we think we have done out due dillegence and are making good solid decisions. But when something goes wrong, the truth comes out. In our case everything was wonderful UNTIL--After the job was done, I found an 8 ft spot of floor joist that was missed by the installer. I was anxious and curious as to how this would play out. I took a picture and sent it to Ira, owner, and he stated that his crew would be back on the following Monday. I didn't know if they would come for such a small area considering the work involved with unloading the Hi-Tech equipment they need to use. Well, again-Sunlight Contractors came thru with no questions and no worries. The joist was sprayed and I was happy. The appointment was kept as scheduled and me and my husband we very pleased. I totally enjoyed my experience with Sunlight Contractors. Starting with Ira the sales person. He was very friendly, professional and informative. He sent me information on different types of insulation and gave advice on which types may be best for my house. The price was great compared to the quote I had received from another vendor. The guys who came to my house to provide the spray foam services were professional and friendly. They worked fast and they made sure they cleaned up everything. And they want to make sure you're satisfied with the services. My home is now insulated properly and I feel the difference. My condenser is no longer running all day. My house feels cooler when I walk in the door. My temperatures are more consistent. I'm confident that my electrical bill us going to go down. I just love my new insulation.
