Upfront quotes was detailed, and contact was happy to discuss any aspect of the quote or follow-up question I had. Once the date was set, they called a day or so ahead to remind me and ensure we were still good to start work on the planned time. The day of they called me when they were heading out to my place and showed up on time. They had everything they needed to get the job done that day, and didn't surprise me with any "unforeseen" items, or change orders that would add cost. They stuck to what they promised to do in the quote, and completed the work professionally and timely. While working in my tiny attic space, one of their workers had accidentally blew a fuse in my AC unit, but they provided for an AC repair man to come out same day (at their expense) and fix the problem. Their representative called me the following day to check on everything to make sure the initial smell from the foam had dissipated and no issues had arose (of which there were none). Overall, very professional, quick, considerate, friendly, patient and thorough. Would recommend this company to anyone else interested in these types of services.

Everyone We have dealt with through this process has been very professional keeping us updated step by step what to expect I would definitely recommend this company.
Description of Work: I started researching moisture, buckling, and swelling of my floors. A lot of companies in my area came up, but what caught my eye was Sunlight Contractors 5-star reviews. They have 10 times more A+ reviews than any other company on Google. I checked out their website and it was very informative. When I decided to call Ira, he explained everything that I needed to have done. He didn’t try to sell me things that my home had no use for. Everything we discussed was about figuring out the most permanent, guaranteed solution to my crawlspace and moisture problems. Ira made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen in the process from beginning to end, and made sure I understood why he had to take the route he did. My sub floor was riddled with mold and I had serious damaging moisture issues creating buckling of my hardwood floors. As soon as we signed the contract Sunlight contractors was right on top of my job treating my home like it was their own. The communication was fantastic, and they came to my home every day. They brought in a 500,000 BTU indirect heater that completely dried my crawl space of any moisture. My moisture level was about 28-29% which contributed to the mold growth that I was experiencing. They came by every day while the indirect heater was running to make sure the heater always had gas. The heater was running day In and day out guaranteeing that the moisture would be dried out of my crawlspace so my crawlspace could be spray foamed. After a week the moisture was brought all the way down to 15% which is unbelievable. Before Sunlight contractors dried out the sub floor they did mold remediation and scrubbed and disinfected all the mold right off the sub floor. This made my sub floor mold free. I am now waiting for Sunlight Contractors to come out and spray my home on the specified date we agreed on. I cannot wait to see the results.

So, in this erratic Louisiana weather my roof will be invincible against all the elements. First When beginning my search, I had a lot of initial questions and Ira was always available to answer them. Sunlight Contractors all the way from clerical to hands on installation are very professional and very efficient. It was very important to me that the crew cleaned up all their supplies, and excess materials that was on my roof and the roof looked like it was cleaned by a top-notch cleaning company. It looked perfect. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family who needed their roof redone. What’s great about Sunlight Contractors is not only are they residential licensed contractors but they are also proficient commercial contractors who did an amazing job on my entire roof. All the stressful problems that I had with my roof was easily fixed by Sunlight Contractors. They were great.

+ -1 moreMy name is Jonathan G. and my family loves our vintage home in Luling, LA. From the rough cut cypress to the crystal door knobs. The only problem with vintage is the old utilities, the lack of central A/C, and no insulation. But, I've remodeled, upgraded, intalled A/C and I'm now complete with the new plumbing, gas, and electrical under the house. I first called Sunlight about 3 years ago because the new A/C was struggling in the 170 degree attic. 8" of open cell foam fixed that. I can now work up there without a sweat, and anyone who sees it is jealous, sincerely. Later, I opened my walls and could see the outside light through the old cypress wood siding and sub-floor. I called them back for round two and the house felt even better. Finally, after re-doing all the mechanicals under the house, I got them to give me the closed cell, vapor proofing that finally made it perfect. My A/C loves Sunlight insulators and I love my new electrical bill!!! Hey Ira, now I want ya'll to give me an after... energy audit so we can see the difference in nuisance air flow. I know I will call them agian when I finally change the sheetrock in the bedrooms. On a side note, these guys will remember you better then you can remember them. Also, you can trust them, they tell you why you put which products where and they do what they say. Best money a homeowner could spend!

They seemed high at first (I had 3 quotes), but when I started asking questions about what was included, I quickly found that they were the lowest price when you consider all they do with a standard job (make sure you are comparing apples to apples). DO YOUR RESEARCH!! This is a major change to your home - spray foam homes need some other considerations to function properly, so be sure it is right for you. I am replacing my air conditioner at the same time, so I was able to tailor the system to work properly - you need sealed combustion appliances for safety with this insulation, so be prepared to spend more money than just insulation. It might change your cooling needs too, so make sure you consult a KNOWLEDGEABLE AC guy too (there are surprisingly few in BR). Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to hire these guys again. They were highly knowledgeable and did the job right the first time. Their crew was respectful and courteous as well.

I got a called almost immediately from Ira Bosh who provided me with so much more than just a quick number like the competition. He gave me loads of information on the product, local code and the process of proper installation. He never forced his company over the other. He just suggested I did my research which I promptly did. It didn’t take long to see that they (Sunlight Contractors) knew what they were doing and did it well. I had them come in and remove the insulation and even when they found more material than estimated, they honored their quote and did not charge any extra for the additional labor. I truly admire their dedication as they worked in well over 100 degree heat to finish the job in a day. As of the writing of this review, I will have them come back to install the spray foam insulation tomorrow. If the previous experience is anything to go by, I expect nothing but the best experience and a job expertly done.

+ -1 moreAfter one too many months of 500 dollar plus entergy bills I started looking into options to reduce my bill. After researching different contractors I decided on sunlight contractors. I have been very pleased with the results. They completed the job on the 13th of July and I reserved my opinion for a month so that I could give an honest review on the results. I could not be happier with the comfort level in my house. I have 3 a/c units that use to run non stop during the summer. Now they are off more than they are on. I put a remote thermostat in the attic so that I could read the temp and humidity of the attic on the 1st floor. The temperature has not been more than 10 degrees above the interior temperature since. The energy usage has dropped considerably, based on the current KW usage my bill will drop more than 200 per month. The workers were polite, neat and most of all conscientious. I feel that they have delivered everything that they promised and more. It's not often you can say that! Bill Thomas

They were prompt, courteous, and very professional in setting up and removing this huge hose they had to put in the attic. You would have thought it would be a big mess NOT, everything was clean as a whistle and the attic looks great. Mr. Ira came over before the job began while they were setting up and also called to ensure everything was ok afterwards. If you want professional call these guys. Great Job Sunlight!

+ 0 moreAlways 5-Star Service Sunlight Contractors are an AWESOME crew. They provided excellent service spraying the foam in my attic about 2 yrs. ago saving me a ton in utility costs. I'm selling my home to move out of state and had an inspector hit me for having foam covering the ducts in the attic causing condensation that could cause mold. I called Ira at sunlight and he immediately addressed the situation providing documentation for the inspector proving that it's installed correctly and he also came over the next day with a full crew to evaluate the situation including an AC guy to check my system and guys that checked for mold who removed a lot of the old insulation which was causing the condensation problem. If you want thorough go with these guys, they're friendly, courteous, and very professional.

+ -1 moreThese guys are great! I shopped around for prices for spray foam and even though Sunlight wasn't the cheapest they were the ones I wanted to hire from the beginning. I spoke with Ira and he provided a lot of information without me even having to ask while the other companies pretty much just came by to take measurements and gave a quote without saying much at all. The day of the job his business partner, Corey, is on site throughout the whole process monitoring his team to make sure everything is right. It may not seem like much but trust me it's a very good sign when the boss is on site! Prior to having spray foam my AC would run constantly without shutting off and that's when I set it at 79. Now when my ac cycles on and off periodically, my smart thermostat shows how little my ac runs and the house feels so much cooler and comfortable. I'd definitely recommend these guys.

+ -1 moreContacted Sunlight Contractors via their website for a free estimate. Was contacted by Ira Bosh and set up an appointment for the next day. Corey arrived on time and answered all my questions and concerns. Upon accepting quote, I was given all license information, material information and insurance paperwork without asking. Was a two part job: Removal crew arrived Saturday morning and removed the old blown-in insulation, a very hot and miserable job which took longer than expected. They were very professional and stay until completion. Two days later the spray foam crew arrive on time. Corey was there to supervise and answer all questions and Ira was available via telephone for any other concerns. Was very happy with the quote and professionalism of Sunlight Contractors. FYI: Attic is much cooler at end of day than before spray foam and much cleaner without 36 year old blown-in insulation.

Products, services, and prices quoted were explained in detail which helped us determine the best choice to insulate the attic of a 90-year old wood frame multiple unit commercial building in New Orleans. The job was completed in one day with minimal interference to our businesses and the crew left everything clean and tidy when done. The spray foam insulation has made a very noticeable difference keeping the building much cooler, compared to fiberglass roll-type insulation. Excellent job, highly recommend.

+ 1 moreSubfloor will be done when it dries from all the rain in June this year. At first, the price seemed high. But even still, Mr Ira explained many things and communicated with me often during my search. I decided to go with another company and still have the contract to show anyone else considering foam installation. I had always like how Mr. Ira explained things so I figured I'd approach him with this quote from the other WontServ company to see if he would match the price. He Would not.. he also explained why. With the other company, the attic was going to be only 3" (which after doing further research on my end) wouldn't have much of an effect in Louisiana compared to the 5.5 inches SunLight does. WontServ also didn't tell me they would NOT be doing any airflow readings before and after the job so I can see myself the difference made. They maybe licensed to do the work but that's a legal starting point for them. SunLight has multiple certifications not just a basic license. I choose to pay a little more and have it done right. I paid 40,000 in upgrades to my home where I should have paid 25,000. I finally learned to get a job done right the first time. His cost is a steal as the other company would have not had enough r-value in the home making it a waste of thousands. I work in the medical industry and I know something about airflow in operating rooms, SunLight measured my airflow which is the whole point of a tightly sealed non-sick house. WontServ will not do that. I have the contract with them and the emails to show. Also anyone is welcome to see my attic that is thinkig about spending this kind of money.

Started with an inquiry that was quickly followed up with a call from Ira who introduced himself, what he and company stood for and how they are able to help. He provided ample research, references as well as documentation highlighting all the Pros and Cons and asked me to do some research. The day came, we wanted to work with Sunlight Contractors. His team are true professionals, not only did they install the new insulation, they cleaned out my attic and removed all the old 1940s-1960's insulation. Ira and his team were friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job. We have a Nest Thermostat and have noticed since installation of the new insulation we have decreased the running time of our A/C by 5-6 hours daily! Almost 180 hours monthly. This insulation is showing returns on reduced electric bills with immediate effect. As Ira says, do your own research as I did. I wanted to work with Ira and Sunlight Contractors and they exceeded the highest expectations. Thank you again! Daan Muller
