The entire experience was seamless. Ira truly knows all there is to know about the insulation industry. I would use his team a million times, I was that pleased with their professionalism and high quality work. I rarely leave reviews and this company is worth 5 stars. I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors and plan to use them again for spray foam subflooring. Sunlight Contractors spray foam insulated the attic of my 1942 house that was renovated in 2017. The heat and cold were impossible to bear after my house purchase in May 2017. The contractor, before purchase, cut major corners that I find one by one. The insulation in the house happened to be one of those major corners that were cut. Before the spray foam insulation, I could only keep my house 5-10 degrees different than whatever the outside temperature was. The day of my spray foam insulation installation, I noticed an immediate difference when I opened my front door. My house has officially turned into a home thanks COMPLETELY to Ira and Sunlight Contractors. The customer service was excellent and the job turned out to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. My energy bill in the first month of use has declined from $550 to $189. My HVAC is no longer running constantly and the home temperature stays stabilized all day and night even with the HVAC turned completely off.

We decided to go with Sunlight Contractors because of their credentials and how thorough their contract is. They invited us to tour a home they sprayed so we could examine the quality of their workmanship. We were impressed that there was no nasty odor from off-gassing! Can't say the same for other companies we considered. Also, they use a quality foam that has a higher R value than other companies and they are not skimpy about applying it. Also, the owner is very responsive and is great to work with. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Our project is set for March 14-16, 2018 so I will update once our job has been completed.

Sunlight did an outstanding job on our attic -- which was in dire shape. I used to consider our attic the black hole of our house and never wanted to go up there for fear of what I'd find. Sunlight came in and, over the course of two days, completely cleared out the old, nasty insulation which was full of filth and debris. They made sure I was completely satisfied before moving on to the insulation phase. The gentlemen who cleaned the attic were extremely professional and communicated with me every step of the way as they encountered challenges. They problem solved and got the job done. The insulation is great and has turned our attic into a cozy storage area that we can now use for storage. Thank you to the whole team!

Sunlight Contractors recently installed open-cell spray foam insulation in our attic. We immediately felt the difference in our home. The house is not as drafty and the heater comes on less frequently. The temperature in the attic is only a few degrees different than inside the house. It’s great to be able to store things in the attic again. The workmen were friendly and efficient for both the fiberglass removal and the foam installation. They came on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend Sunlight Contractors to my friends.

Sunlight Contractors did an excellent job with our home. We had our 100 year old floors (elevated bare planks, no sub-floor) insulated with closed cell spray foam just a day before a deep freeze in New Orleans. Despite the frigid temperatures outside, our normally drafty and cold home was considerably warmer and more comfortable than prior to the work. Using an infrared camera, a few minor spots of cold intrusion in our floors were noticed. Ira and his team were very quick to come out and add further insulation in each of these spots. They made sure we were 100% satisfied and were very easy to work with and communicate with. Now our heating system is turning on much less frequently, our floors are warm, our house is not drafty, and our historic flooring is well protected from moisture. We are very happy we went with Sunlight Contractors for this job.

Very well, with lots of unique circumstances. A prolonged New Orleans cold spell (Polar Vortex?) prompted me to bite the bullet and address non-insulated floor and inadequate topside attic cellulose. Within two days we had an estimate @ $1.90 / square foot underneath and $1.65 /square foot in attics (both prices lower than other estimates) and prep and installation planned in next four days. The first three days included "hard freeze" warnings taken seriously necessitating running every water source in the house hourly over two consecutive nights. (pipes intact with few close calls--not so for lots of people) Planned foaming was delayed an additional day, because New Orleans was shut down with an ice storm. I was reassured by the company and a double crew was scheduled the fifth day. All's well now with much warmer floors and furnace running occasionally instead of continuously. This company was only one cited on Angie's list. They did a very nice job, courteous, prompt, on time when promised. I'm happy.

Sunlight did a great job spray foaming the bottom of our 2 unit shotgun house. We called in a tight fix when freezing weather revealed how poorly our house held heat. Sunlight got us a quote within 24 hours and performed the job the next day. Great communication and professional service. The house already feels warmer.

I did a lot of research before I hired Sunlight Contractors to install spray foam insulation under my raised basement house. I had read all the advice and finally found an LSU Ag study on insulation options for raised homes in South Louisiana which recommended closed cell insulation. Ira, at Sunlight, was very accommodating with my schedule and Clayton provided an onsite quote for my $1800sqft raised basement, center hall home. Everyone that I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the process and the benefits of the product and able to answer all my questions about moisture, historic homes, and pests. I was very impressed with the demo team who came out the weekend before the installation to remove the pink batting insulation from the floor joists including the wire mesh that was holding it in. It was a big job and a lot of effort and they did a very thorough job and cleaned everything up afterwards and hauled it off (did use my trash bins at all). My husband and I went downstairs to clean up the tiny pieces of insulation so our puppies wouldn't eat it and there was nothing to clean up! The insulation process was equally simple and there was no mess afterwards. They expertly prepared my home to avoid overspray and they cleaned up the areas where the foam had expanded into cracks that it should not be. I can already tell a difference after a quick cold snap we had last week. My heater does not run and run and run, my floors are warmer to my bare feet, and my old house is not as drafty as it used to be. And, as an unexpected plus: my old, historic floors feel firm and are no longer creaky when we walk. Also the floor boards that were loose before are now super stable. I'm so excited at the durability of the product, it was totally worth the expense. I can't wait to get my attic done.

I initially spoke with Mr. Ira Bosh who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to fully address all of my initial questions and concerns. For the estimate, I met with Mr. Clayton, who took extensive measurements of the square footage and moisture levels of my subfloor areas (by crawling around beneath my house) and the attic. Also, Mr. Clayton went over the entire spray foaming process. From the removal of the existing insulation, to the application of the spray foam, everything was fully explained. That attention detail was carried over to their work, as it is far more impressive than what the reviews say. Mr. Clayton and his crew arrived on time and the final product exceeded all of my expectations. Sunlight Contractors is a company that embodies an acute attention to detail, while also maintaining a genuine care about their customers’ needs, as if it was their own. Sunlight Contractors did a very satisfactory job with my insulation. Everyone from start to finish was very professional and updated me on the whole process the entire time. Always made sure I was informed and satisfied. I can already feel a difference in the house, the heating/cooling unit does not turn on half as much as it did before. Sunlight Contractors just finished spray foam on the underside of my 30 yo home. This company is fantastic! Not only did Ira Bosh respond to my request for a quote, he personally showed up for the moisture readings and estimate, the prep work, and he followed up every day for my satisfaction report. So now, my new subfloors won’t rot, my new floors won’t buckle, no more musty smell. I also discovered where my energy waste was coming from. With the recent cold snap, the temperature has remained constant inside my home without air loss, with the heater now kicking on every few hours instead of every few minutes! I can’t say enough good things about this special team of men that know their business and provide honest, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service. ira Bosh contacted me 1 hour after filling in a Contact Us form on Sunlight Contractor's website. Within 5 days, I had my crawlspace dried out with a Industrial heater, 65 gallons of special paint applied and the promised thickness spray foam applied. All clean, all perfect. Sunlight Contractors finished the spray foam job under our raised house yesterday. After the job was completed. I crawled under the house with one of the crew to inspect and see for myself. The foam covered 100 percent of the subfloor and joists, which is what we were expecting. We originally chose Sunlight Contractors because they have many positive reviews for fixing the problems we were having with moisture under the house. They use closed cell foam, which creates a moisture barrier as well as provides insulation. After researching alternative solutions to the moisture problem under our house, closed cell spray foam is the way to solve the problem permanently. We are happy we chose Sunlight because they communicated well, showed up on time, and worked hard to get the job completed on schedule.

We had problems with moisture under our raised house. This was causing the wood flooring to buckle and cup in some spots. After reading multiple reviews and researching the best way to resolve the issue we decided to call Sunlight Contractors. We are currently in the middle of the job and everything has been going smoothly. Ira Bosh, the owner has been communicating with us every step of the way. First he and his crew came out and took moisture readings from the subfloor of the house in order to determine if mechanical drying would be necessary. Luckily for us, the moisture levels were under what is required to spray foam. Next, he sent flooring subcontractors to begin repairs on our floors. His crew then sprayed a preliminary coat of Sherwin Williams paint to preserve the wood under our house. Today his crew came back to spray the foam under our house. So far everything is going according to plan and after the whole job is complete, we should have no more problems with moisture. Plus our floors will be insulated, which should help with keeping the house cool in summer and warm in winter.

My husband and I moved into town from out of state and needed some work done on our house quickly so that we could move in. Sunlight gave us a written estimate and installed the spray foam insulation at a reasonable price all within a matter of days. I can't imagine better service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Ira Bosch and the team at Sunlight are truly a pleasure to work with; they are all extremely courteous, patient, and flexible to meet the needs of the customer. I don't know what prices are with anyone who does anything like this in New Orleans but I wouldn't care anyways - you can't put a price on the piece of mind you get from talking to somebody who clearly cares about your home as much as you do. Especially since I can't physically be there to see the scope of the project, I really appreciate the constant communication with the work crew and status updates. These guys are true professionals.

Just had Sunlight Contractors blow Spray Foam Insulation in my up stairs attic. My up stairs has historically been either to hot in the summer or to cold in the winter. I have been in the attic several times since the install to check on the temperature. I am so impressed with how much cooler the attic is now that we have the Spray Foam Insulation. The upstairs air conditioner is not running all day long like it was in the past. They also had to remove all of the old fiberglass insulation before the install of the Spray Foam Insulation.. The crew that removed the old fiberglass insulation was friendly and did a quick and efficient job of removing all of the old unnecessary nasty fiberglass insulation. If you are considering Spray Foam Insulation for your home or business. I would highly recommend Sunlight Contractors.

We had a great experience with Sunlight Contractors. Our objective was to make our upstairs more comfortable in the summer and winter. Our upstairs has always been a challenge to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Sunlight Contractors came in and removed all of the old unhealthy fiberglass insulation and sprayed new Foam Insulation on the underside of the roof in the attic. My husband and I have visited the attic several times since the install to evaluate the difference in temperature before install and after install. Its remarkable how the new Spray foam insulation keeps the temperature close to the temperature in your home. The crew was professional, timely and cleaned up after the job was complete. I would highly recommenced Sunlight Contractors.
