Sunlight Contractors specializes in spray foam insulation & renovation services for residential homes and commercial & industrial buildings. We are licensed and certified RESNET Home Energy Raters (HERS), RESNET Energy Smart Contractors, and Bpi.org (Building Performance Institute) Gold Star Contractors. We are also members of the ABAA (Air Barrier Association of America). We are the only Master spray foam installers and Project Managers certified by the SPFA (Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance) (sprayfoam.org). Sunlight Contractors also offers a variety of services including renovations/remodeling for all structures. We also have the correct equipment to retrofit your walls or attic ceilings with cellulose insulation. We provide services like residential and commercial spray foam, Owens Corning ProPink batt insulation, fireproofing, and soundproofing. We install new floors & provide flooring repairs. We are licensed HVAC contractors that understand building science, and air sealing. We always provide a door blower test and an ASHRAE 62.2 report making sure your home is never too tight and has ample fresh air. We can build a new home from the ground up. We are moisture remediation specialists for your whole home or building including the crawlspace/subfloor & licensed Asbestos Abatement contractors. We are also Master Elite GAF roofers who can offer a Gold Pledge warranty that can only be offered by a Master Elite Installer. Great Job!!!
Description of Work: I started researching moisture, buckling, and swelling of my floors. A lot of companies in my area came up, but what caught my eye was Sunlight Contractors 5-star reviews. They have 10 times more A+ reviews than any other company on Google. I checked out their website and it was very informative. When I decided to call Ira, he explained everything that I needed to have done. He didn’t try to sell me things that my home had no use for. Everything we discussed was about figuring out the most permanent, guaranteed solution to my crawlspace and moisture problems. Ira made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen in the process from beginning to end, and made sure I understood why he had to take the route he did. My sub floor was riddled with mold and I had serious damaging moisture issues creating buckling of my hardwood floors. As soon as we signed the contract Sunlight contractors was right on top of my job treating my home like it was their own. The communication was fantastic, and they came to my home every day. They brought in a 500,000 BTU indirect heater that completely dried my crawl space of any moisture. My moisture level was about 28-29% which contributed to the mold growth that I was experiencing. They came by every day while the indirect heater was running to make sure the heater always had gas. The heater was running day In and day out guaranteeing that the moisture would be dried out of my crawlspace so my crawlspace could be spray foamed. After a week the moisture was brought all the way down to 15% which is unbelievable. Before Sunlight contractors dried out the sub floor they did mold remediation and scrubbed and disinfected all the mold right off the sub floor. This made my sub floor mold free. Sunlight Contractors then came out and sprayed the foam under the house. Great job!!!!

Excellent!
Description of Work: I've searched the internet to find a quality provider for spray foam insulation for under my home. This is our second time changing out or floors and floor joists. They are licensed and certified master sprayers. That means a lot in this business and led me to choosing Sunlight Contractors. Ira is very knowledgeable in this line of work and was very helpful. We encapsulated [Member Name Removed]'s attic and preformed the blower door testing before we started the work.Then we preformed another door blower test on completion. Then we prepared a written ASHREA 62.2 air change per hour report in an email for [Member Name Removed] as is mandatory on all spray foam jobs. [Member Name Removed]'s A/C contractor was very impressed and after he inspected the attic spray foam job we did he was even more impressed. To all our readers. Don't make the mistake and hire a contractor who doesn't care and perform this necessary testing. If you ever sell your home and don't have everything documented the inspectors for the buyer will make you pay DEARLY to bring your home up to code and have all the paperwork documented.Trust Sunlight Contractors we have seen this happen all to often with other insulation Contractors.

Description of Work: Contractor was very professional, knowledgable and completed the open cell attic foaming job as expected. Once completed, The installation crew didn't remove the trash or reset the insulation in the areas they removed but once I called they came back the next morning to totally complete as expected. Overall I would recommend Sunlight Contracting as an A- for attic foaming projects.

By the way thank you for recommending you son [Removed Member Name] . His house came out so tight that he need mechanical ventilation. To all our reader we won't spray foam in anyone's home without testing first. We perform a door blower test before work to see how tight your home was built. If the door blower test reveals your home being tight before, then you can be rest assured that Sunlight Contractors will tell you We Can't Spray unless you take care of this matter with your HVAC contractor within 5 days of foaming. Don't be fooled by contractors who say they are going to bring baffle air in before testing is done. (This Doesn't Work Well In Conditioned Attics) Once this is completed an ASHREA 62.2 air volume test of the entire living area in your home is performed. That's the way Sunlight works. SO, the most important issue is not to bring in hot humid air before you spray foam because that will negate the effectiveness of a conditioned attic and bring many other problems like MOISTURE.Work with experience [hyperlink removed] Gold Star contractors before you foam your home.

Description of Work: I called them for a quote and was very pleased with the entire process. They scheduled an appointment, showed up on time, provided a quote in a reasonable time and we able to schedule the work promptly. Ira was a pleasure to work with and he was very attentive to every question I had, and he encouraged me to research both hum and his competitors. Once I signed the contract they scheduled my job in less than a week and completed it in about 6 hours just as promised. I would definitely recommend these guys for your insulation needs.

Buyers who do their due diligence are always satisfied in this industry. There are so many companies out there who say they are certified? By who the company they buy spray foam from? Ha!!! No, that's why the (SPFA) Spray Polyurethane Alliance has been established as a 3rd party independent testing company to make sure spray foam companies are highly educated in handling chemicals and PPE equipment. We NEVER DID WORK FOR THIS HOMEOWNER only recommended what the cost would be IF she spray foamed her home. The homeowner wanted a door blower test and inferred imaging at no charge. There's a charge for that. We are in business to make a profit so we can pay our employee's, not as philanthropists. We are sorry to hear that you are only partially satisfied with the service you have received. We do offer a more comprehensive home energy test, for a higher fee. We just made recommendations for FREE. If you wanted a blower door test, thermal imaging you should have asked us. However, that fee is waived for customers who hire us. We do offer financing and would love the opportunity to help reduce your energy bills.

I waited to write a review until I let my utility bill go through a complete billing cycle with the new spray foam in my attic. My bill dropped about $75 this month and when I open my attic hatch and go inside my attic the temperature is only a few degrees warmer than the air conditioned space within my house. It used to be sweltering in the attic during the day. I am very pleased with the results and the professionalism the company showed through the entire process. My only regret is that I not having done this sooner. Next project will be a solar system and maybe I can get rid of my electrical bill altogether.
Description of Work: Corey Yates sold me on spray-foam and air sealing for my older "leaky" home. The spray foam is actually a very cool product in the way it expands to fill every crack and crevice. My attic looks like the inside of an ice cooler now/

They returned my phone call within 10 or 15 minutes for an estimate. The estimate came in lower than some other companies. I have been blown away with how great the experience has been. They are on time, professional and really put alot of care into their work. I have already recommended them to several friends. They are coming back soon to finish the bottom of the camper, but the inside was done very well.
