They did what they were contracted to do. My wife has a complaint against them. They pushed hard to upsell us. In fact, she almost thought that the upsell was more important than getting done what we needed to get done. They were competent enough. They knew what they were doing. The guy who climbed up the tree was good at it. We might have spent a little bit more. They came and did the job within a week or 10 days. My wife has a definite problem with the attempted upsell, which would have cost us a lot more money. They were going to take down another tree. It was more than just a recommendation. Our interactions with them were fine. They did what we needed done. They got it done and got the trash out of the way. That was fine. I had no problems with him for getting the basic work done. My wife was kind of frustrated because it looked like he kept coming back for more work, more work, more work. From that standpoint, she had questions. It appeared that that was the major part of the deal, that they had to get more money out of the interaction, from my wife's point of view.

Contacted me almost immediately and came out the next day. I had a ton of cypress knees that needed to be removed. They did a great job grinding them down.

It went well. Did the job the same day as the estimate. Followed my request to grind as deep as possible, cleaned up the mess after grinding. Professional work.

Matt came out and priced the job on the spot, and I had my written quote via email by the time I walked back into the house. Risk Tree Service has done tree work at our house for several years now and they're the only ones I call. Matt talked to our neighbor who had most of our dead tree overhanging in their yard, which I appreciate so I don't have to get in the middle of things. His crew removed most of the dead tree using a big bucket truck and going over the roof of the neighbor's garage! They did that part yesterday and removed the bottom of the tree from my backyard today, along with the other work. His crew of 7 guys all had hard hats and company tee shirts and were very professional and respectful of my flower beds and lawn. They blew the driveway clean (and picked up what they blew), and like magic, the stump grinding guy arrived soon after the trees were removed. Not only do I get a quality job, but I also get peace of mind knowing that Risk Tree service only uses a qualified crew and up-to-date equipment.

They arrived on time and went to work immediately. In no time the tree was down and the area cleaned up. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

Some of the trees that I wanted shaped were barely trimmed I could not tell they had been trimmed by looking at them. I had to look at the ground to see a few leaves and twigs to know they had trimmed them. As far as the chemicals for the disease on the Grapefruit tree I don't think it worked, tree is not doing any better. He said he was coming back for a second spray, I don't know if he did or not. When I complained about the trimming not being enough he told me (You can't trim trees too much, they might die! ) But you can call me when you are going to be home, give him a weeks notice and he would try to work it in his schedule to get back out there to look at the trees and see what I was talking about. Sounded to me like he was too busy and wasn't interested!

After initial call I was contacted quickly to arrange a time to come out and provide a quote. Brian showed up as scheduled. The work was done about three weeks after the quote due to their other prior commitments. However they stayed in touch to let me know when they would be able to come out. The crew did a nice job and cleaned up the yard. I was very pleased with the quality of their work.

Great!! Brian showed up to do the initial estimate and said that he would personally supervise the team. He arrived as scheduled and the team got right to work. Brian is a 'craftsman with a chain saw' who has an amazing sense of artistry, versus just cutting trees randomly. Brian's team is highly skilled and professional (trained in the jungles of Honduras) and has amazing agility (think 30 feet up in a tree with a chainsaw). Amazing. Brian and his team listened to what we wanted, asked us questions every step of the way, and explained the reason for taking certain actions (removing dead branches, removing vines, cutting 'weed trees', etc.). Once they finished, they cleaned up very, very thoroughly. At one point I broke the fence leading to the neighbor's yard. Brian and his team went to Home Depot, got a fence board, and repaired the fence. Seriously. You can't make this stuff up. Later I met Brian's brother, Matt (who came to fertilize some trees). He is an arbourist who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his business and trees. If it was possible to give an A+ I would. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again!

Good. However, poor job on one phase, annoyed neighbors, failed to follow up on some damages and left a messy result.

Matt was awesome. He was professional and provided me with great customer service. Hevtook the time to educate me about my new trees and how to care for them. He was timely and went above and beyond.

The initial contact was with Matthew Tubre, owner of Risk. We discussed what I wanted done and set up a date to do the job. The men came promptly on that day, cut the tree down, hauled it away and used the stump grinder to complete job. Cleaned up thoroughly. My husband and I were completely satisfied with their work and will recommend them to anybody needing this service..

Showed up on time with a crew. Had a capable foreman and two energetic helpers. Worked hard all day; left about 7pm. Were careful and thorough. They cleaned up and damaged nothing, despite all the work they did.

The crew from Risk Tree arrived on time and did an excellent job in trimming the trees. The crew worked quickly, professionally and safely. They worked very hard supporting each other to make sure the job was done professionally, safely and with respect to our property. The crew also did a great job cleaning up. I would use them again.

The men worked non stop, climbed trees, swung from branches and it was amazing! Jacob, the arborist, was in communication, if not on site, frequently. He kept us apprised of progress, rain delays, and was instrumental in resolving a neighborly tension filled concern. I have used arborists in Michigan and this was the most competitive work I have had performed.

Terrific, smooth, professional transaction -- from initial contact. to scheduling appointment for estimate, to completion of the job within the week. I really appreciated the owner, Matt Tubre, preparing the estimate on the spot at our initial consultation, and his answering my questions clearly and patiently. Also, it's fitting that a tree company operate "paperlessly"! The work was scheduled within the week, and the crew did a great job over the course of a morning, and Charlie addressed my specific requests for each tree. The trees now look tidy and healthy. The clean-up was immaculate. The professionalism, and especially responsiveness, was superb. A great job at a fair price, without any inconvenience or delay.

These guys are awesome!!! This is the best work at the best price I have ever have had done here! They did the job without intruding onto my neighbor's property. Great clean up, and very knowlegable men. They know "their stuff"! (smile) Hard workers who take much pride in what they do. Very inspiring indeed. ! Also very friendly and easy to communicate with. I am a 100% happy customer and will get them again.

They came out and did the work within 45 minutes. I had no Problem or issues, they were very prompt and knowledgeable.

Crew arrived as scheduled and were very diligent in taking tree down--no property damage and no close calls despite work area surrounded by neighbor's garage, fence, and glass sunroom. Tree was 120 feet from road so bobcat was used but crew put down plywood to avoid disturbing lawn--lawn looks great after job done-no ruts and all areas raked clean. "Claw" truck made 5 trips to pick up tree debris during day and stump grinder came as scheduled (on New Year's Day!) and did a nice job grinding up trunk/roots. We were very pleased with the final result--often you see huge stump grinding mounds but not on our lawn. Tree limbs on electric/cable wires cleared while not 'hacking' away--crew took time to preserve aesthetics yet cleared the lines. Trees trimmed along house in same way. Crew very responsive--when additional branch was requested to be cut, they said no problem. Owner and job foreman also made suggestions--for example, what kind of tree to plant in spot where tree was removed and how to best keep our remaining trees alive and healthy. As the company's name implies, they specialize in high risk tree removal and have recently expanded to include tree preservation, which is important to us because we lost a lot of trees with Katrina and Gustav.

It was a pleasure working with this provider. The job was done as expected, and the cleanup was thorough. I would definitley do business with this provider again.

My neighbor & I were very pleased with Matt and his crew. They showed up on time, very polite and very knowledgeable of what they were doing and seem to work really will together. I had 2 giant palms removed and the stump removal on both, and my neighbor had her giant palm removed the same day and the stump removal. One of my palms was right next to my house, wires & pool. The other palm was very close to my pool. The guys moved several items away from the palms even a big light post that was close by the palm to protect them. They did an awesome job of removing it. They would even get anything that was falling into my pool from the two palms out right away. All three palms had to be hand cut down. The guy that climbed up the trees was just amazing. My neighbor palm was actually leaning over her house and they did a great job getting that down. They did a great job cleaning up (blowing off all around my deck of the pool) and hauled all of the cutting. Thank you Matt and thanks to your Crew. Renee
