Excellent!! The crew showed up on time and were very professional. They finished the job up from start-to-finish in about 2 hours - which includes cleanup and picking up all trash. Very satisfied with the work!!

Went well. They went out and did it when I told them I was ready. job well done. Had some dead branches from a neighbor's yard. They cleaned up nice too.

Got off to a rocky start with communication because the crews were out of town working in Florida clearing trees after the hurricane but once they were back they got my jobs done quickly. 2 nuisances trees were taken down. Experienced and helpful staff. Took down trees in tricky places with no damage to my property. Will use them again.

excellent, they scheduled and performed the work promptly. We needed quick action because of other work being done on our house, and they were flexible and got to us in 2 days. When they finished, they asked us repeatedly if we were satisfied or wanted any more trimming. The leader said with a smile: "We aren't done until you say we are done."

It was one of those small jobs, so getting any company to come out was tough. They stepped up and took care of it. We also had drama with my neighbor because she had trouble comprehending that the city tree was not hers. They handled it well considering how irrational and irate she was.

This was a very big job and Risk Tree Service handled it professionally at a competitive price. I would definitely hire them again,especially for a large job.

Risk Tree Service was great to work with and exceeded our expectations. After consulting with them on price and setting a schedule, they arrived on time and finished removing the trees one morning. They loaded all debris into a dumpster that afternoon. This was on a Saturday. By the beginning of the next week, the debris had been hauled away and the stumps had been grounded down. The only issue that arose was immediately fixed. When a tree was cut and fell, it cracked part of the neighbors sidewalk. Before we even had the chance to contact Risk, they had two employees come out with concrete to fix the cracks. Amazing service and very respectful to talk with. We would recommend them to anyone.

This company was recommended by a good friend. I left a message for them 3 days ago and they haven't even returned my call. I would have been fine if they would have told me that they were too busy so that I could have made a decision to call someone else. That's just not good business to not return a potential customer's call.

They were a very good price, reasonably prompt, and did a fair job if not a great one. A little less than idea in most categories, could be better.

They removed tree, were not able to remove stump, and damaged my garage roof. They attempted to fix the roof when I complained but did a unprofessional and poor job of trying to fix it. They were unable to remove the stump and refused to make any sort of meaningful adjustment to the price. I went ahead and paid them because it wasn't worth dealing with this type of company. Long and short of it, big promises, shoddy work, no guarantee's.

Kept me informed at all phases of the project, including responding to my first call, estimation of costs, timing and completion of project. As detailed to me, the project went as they described, smoothly, professionally. A bit costly, but I have found that I am wiling to pay for a company that provides the kind of premium service and courtesy Risk Tree Service provides. In sum, a great company, worthy of highest praise.

Risk Tree Services is the best company you could call if you needed any tree work done at your house. Matt and his crew were great. They had to work around powers lines and a car that could not be moved and did so with no problems. They cleaned up the yard and you couldn't tell they were even here. Even the neighbors commented on what a great job they did and my property looks better then it ever has in the 24 years I have lived here. I could not be happier with the job they did and they were $1,000 cheaper then any other company I got quotes from. Would not hesitate in hiring them again and will recommend them to anyone that needs any tree work done.

Matt and the Risk Tree Service workers have trimmed trees and removed dead or dying trees at our house many times in the past. They are the only tree service I use and recommend. Matt and crew were removing a large tree on our neighbor's property so I asked Matt if he might possibly be able to trim my trees after he finished next door and lucky for me, he said yes. I feel very comfortable using Risk Tree Service because they really do want the customer to be satisfied. The crew leader had me inspect the finished job and pointed to a branch that he thought should be trimmed, and he was right--it would look better trimmed down so they trimmed it. No added cost. The crew also cleaned up every branch and every leaf that landed on the driveway! They are very professional and have pride in their work.

Matt showed up and provided some good feedback on what my trees needed and seemed to care about their preservation. I have three live oaks and one pin oak that just weren't taken care of by the previous home owners, but these guys came in and did a good job of clearing them out, removing deadwood, and taking care of future problems. They were pretty patient with me as the homeowner asking questions and such, but I tried to stay out of their way and let them do what they know. This crew was nice in appearance, I didn't hear them cursing, they got along, and seemed to know what they each needed to do. They picked up all debris, raked the yard and swept up where needed. I think the nature of the job means that sometimes jobs take more or less time than expected. They were a little late getting to me (which I was fine with), but I think there should be a procedure to communicate with the customer that day if scheduling is running ahead or behind. I'd recommend Risk Tree Service and will probably have them out in a year or two to further train the trees to grow properly.

We had a large water oak that needed to be taken down on our new property. Matt, the owner, responded quickly to our inquiry, quote and need for a fast appointment. We were provided copies of their insurance coverage for services rendered. Matt was informed on the species of trees in our yard and took our tree down fast and with no damage. The work was inspected by the owner and the follow-up timely and professional. Would absolutely use again!

Before quoting the job, Matt said we'd need a city permit and be required to plant new trees those we were replacing were healthy. Other contractors who bid didn't mention a permit, and were ready to come the same day, so I was pretty impressed that Matt was by the book on this. Because of the replacement requirement, I thought the stumps would be ground deep enough to accommodate new trees. This was especially important to me because I was planning to run some subsurface drainage in the vicinity of one of the stumps, which I did not think to tell Matt (I should have). My drainage contractor also told me a standard stump grind should be enough to accommodate his planned lines. The depth required to plant a tree would have been much deeper than I needed for the drains. The stumps were ground to just below the surface, with many big pieces of roots still at and above the surface, and my drainage contractor wasn't able to run the lines as planned. I contacted Matt, and his first response that the grind didn't need to be deep because the city had waived the tree replacement requirement when he got the permit.He didn't tell me this until I brought up the concern. I asked him for documentation of the waiver and a copy of the permit, and still have not received that. After pushing the matter a bit more, he told me standard practice is to grind just how they did, and that the grinder has to come out again when you are planting the trees. Also, I found out at this point from Matt that the stump grinder is a subcontractor, not part of his crew. I should have mentioned the drainage route to Matt when he bid the job, but when he bid the job he told me we needed to plant new trees and didn't say we'd need another grinder later when we were ready to plant. His point that the requirement was waived doesn't change what we discussed when he bid the job, and it doesn't make sense to me that you would bring the grinder back again when planting the new trees either. Matt (the owner) and I basically disagree on whether he should have ground the stumps deep enough to accommodate new trees, and as a result while most of the job was done satisfactorily, and they were professional in their dealings, I am not satisfied in the end and he is not willing to do what would satisfy me which is to further grind the stumps and have the drainage rerouted where it should have run to begin with. He has not offered to do even just the grinding. He has told me he underbid the job to match someone else's price, and lost money on it. I think they probably do a very good job most of the time as they did with the actual tree cutting, but in this case they weren't willing to do what it took to satisfy what I believe were reasonable expectations, and their rationale for not doing so is underbidding the job and claiming the city requirements changed without providing documentation. Their communications were also slow at times, but not unusual in trades. Update after seeing Matt's response - I still haven't received any copy of the city permit or the waiver stating we no longer have to plant trees. Matt, please send these to me and I'll update this part of the review. The things Matt says he discussed with me before the job (that they don't plant over existing stumps, that the stump grinding is only sufficient for grass to grow over) were not discussed to my recollection, nor is it true hat he offered to come back to grind just the area needed for the drainage - that would have satisfied me. if he could also provide me proof that we aren't required to plant trees.

The tree removal went okay but my garden is lined with bricks and they knocked some of them down and I wanted them to come back out and put them back but I can't get them to come back out to do it. I paid what he told me it was going to cost.

This was a $25 big deal purchase. They charged me more than the price of the deal. I rated them a B overall because of how long it took them to do it. They could have come out sooner. They do quality work.
