National Air

Description of Work: They were supposed to clean out our ducts and after they left our air-conditioning actually malfunctioned. We had to get a different air conditioning company to come and fix it.

Description of Work: Initially called National Air for A/C check and tune-up. Technician was on time and professional. He maintained the unit, and the air was cold again, but he warned that there was clogging in the lines, he blew it out as much as possible, but it may require a plumber down the road. | |The cold air lasted about two weeks before it began to perform poorly. When I called National Air, I was told the problem was dirty coils, and that it would cost #300+ dollars to fix the problem. I advised that I was concerned about that solution, as my outside condenser wasn't coming on consistently. The tech was sent out to take another look. He confirmed that it was the clogged drain he'd mentioned earlier. He took care of the problem and unclogged the drain at no additional charge. | |Bottom line, they initially arrived at the wrong conclusion for my trouble. If I had not challenged their diagnosis, I'm not sure how this would have ended. But when I expressed my concern, they took another look, quickly resolved my problem, with no additional cost to me. | |This process has taught me that troubleshooting A/C problems can be difficult, and is a process of trying one solution and then another. Although the initial solution was not correct, National Air looked at it again, and fixed it. | |I would use them again. | |

Description of Work: Did an inspection of AC. Found an issue and said they would get back to me with an estimate. They never got back to me. I had to follow up with them to get an estimate. I compared their estimate for repair versus another local AC company and their price was 33% higher than my local AC company. So I did not use them. They were also very unresponsive to returning phone calls. In their defense they said that they had just gone through a move of their office.

Description of Work: They fixed my ac unit. Took a couple of calls to get them back and finish but they finished the job.

Description of Work: i WANTED TO INSTALL 3 MINI-SPLITS. FIRST HE TRIED TO TALK ME OUT OF INSTALLING MINI-SPLITS AND GOING WITH CENTRAL INSTEAD. THEN HE MEASURED THE ROOMS AND TOLD ME HE WOULD GET BACK WITH ME WITH A PRICE. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN SO I ASSUME HE DIDN'T ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO INSTALL MINI-SPLITS. AS THEY ARE FAR MORE EFFICIENT THAN CENTRAL, AC COMPANIES SHOULD BE PUSHING, NOT DISCOURAGING, THEIR USE.
