Don't expect them to keep the service dimensions of their contract.

We'd used Keefe as a maintenance provider for our A/C and heating unit for years and had been satisfied. When we needed a new unit, they were prompt and professional in educating us on our alternatives. They cleaned up after themselves and checked back in several weeks to see that the new unit was performing correctly. It was.

Poorly. They don't call you for a service but expect you to call them. There is no such thing as scheduled maintenance.

I had picked them because heard good things from neighbors. They really were terrific. It has been 6 years and everything is running just great. They did a wonderful installation and I think it was two days. That included taking out the old York, etc. The salesman's name was Harold (I am reading this off the original invoice). The two installers (Louis and Sean) showed up and worked together not against each other if you know what I mean. The company had building permits for the installation. Great piece of mind. I remember it being hot (go figure) in June and those guys were upbeat and very respectful. Anyway I just thought I would finally get a report up on Angie's List about this company.

Harold estimated the job and listened carefully to what I wanted to improve about the system. He designed an improved return air system that made the system virtually silent. His proposal was by far the most professional and detailed. Jay installed the system. He was very knowledgeable and efficient.

They did an excellent job of installation. The house was not originally designed for central, but Keefe's made it work and made it look good too. In the subsequent seven years that we owned the house, the unit only failed once, but Keefe's honored the warranty and fixed it promptly and without charge to us. We kept Keefe's under maintenance contract, and they faithfully came out twice a year to inspect/service the equiptment. I have heard that they are not the cheapest, but for the quality and peace of mind, I highly recommend them.

I received 5 bids and choose Keefe's because their Statement of work was the most detailed and best written. Also their estimator really crawled around the attic and did the most thorough inspection. I wanted to qualify for two rebates and the salesman helped with that by working with the inspector who was doing our energy audit. After the work was done, we still had a problem qualifying for one of the rebates and Keefe located a leak in the ducts. Even though they had not installed the problem ducting and were not responsible, they fixed it on the spot at no charge. We then qualified for the energy rebate. Keefe's bid was the highest by a small amount, but they did a more complete job and definitely went above and beyond to make sure we got the rebates. We also bought a maintenance plan from them, which cost less than several we've had in the past.

That interaction was good. However, I have not had a great experience with them and so have switched to another provider. Scheduling an appointment wasn?t working properly with them. We were told that we had the first call appointment. I scheduled my appointment and they said that they would be there in the morning. They never showed and when I called they claimed that we didn?t have the first appointment. They didn?t know when somebody was going to be in there. We had waited for about five days to get the first call appointment. Their price was average. The technicians were all great, but the office staff was not so good.

They are very punctual. The majority of the time I am completely totally satisfied; otherwise I would not do business with them. I've used them for many years.

They charged us $550 for the job. We were pleased with them. We have used them before. We had a contract with them for the maintenance of our air conditioning and heater. We will use them again if required.

The salesmen were incredibly thorough in explaining options. The company was great about communicating and checking for satisfaction after each stage of the process.
