Essential Appliance Repair

I had a washing machine that was not draining. I gave Kenneth the brand name and asked if he could handle the job. He said it should not be a problem. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later, he shows up, does something to the machine and leaves. He sent me an invoice via email (as we agreed upon) for $260.00. I then put a check in the mail to him at an address that he provided to me via his invoice (as we had agreed upon). I receive a call from my tenants the next day saying that the washer is not working and there are screws and a piece of wire inside. I call Kenneth and ask him what was going on and why would he send an invoice if the job was not complete and why had he not contacted me? His response was he told my tenants it was not working. They say he did not. Non-the-less, why send a bill and you know the job is not complete? He goes back for a 2nd time with a new part, stays a while and leaves. Late that night my tenants called again saying the machine STILL was not working. I then contact Kenneth only for him to tell me that he thinks the machine needs to be replaced. REALLY? After he has tampered with it. I told Kenneth not to cash my check and if he does I will be contacting NOPD. I called Home Advisor to report the situation and was told the only thing I could do was to write a bad review so others could know my story. I am done with Home Advisors as well. I thought these were supposed to be reputable people that they advertised... I guess NOT!

Kenneth arrived on time. His evaluation was thorough and efficient. He was a strong communicator about the issue, the solution, and the price. Once he ordered the part, he returned to do the repair. I trusted Kenneth to come to my home for the second visit while I was at work because of his honesty and expertise. He communicated his arrival and completion time. The price matched what he quoted. He cleaned up the work space as though the repair never happened. I had two failed repairs on the machine before his arrival, both of which were expensive in money and time. Kenneth fixed my dryer and it has been working like new ever since. Thank you!!

Broken dryer belt repaired. 1st day to diagnose the problem ($80 service fee) and repaired next day ($130 remainder for parts and labor) He did subsequently send the receipt but I had to call and ask for it.

My problem could not be resolved. There is no longer a part for the oven.

Unclear in regards to charges made and work done.

He came out the same day he called and knew what he was doing. Very professional. Only problem I had is that our appt was for 3 oclock and me wife took off early to be at home for that time. Didn't show until well after 4. Not a big deal as we know that some jobs take longer than others. Would definetely recommend!

He said a 80 dollar charge and that would go towards the repair and parts. But he didn't repair my washing machine. He said it was too much work and qoils be cheaper to buy a new one, so I thought he would return at least half of the 80 dollars but he didn't. So I think I got overcharged me for the I initial visit. It wa like he took my money and ran. I had to call him to find out what was going on.

Kenneth is professional and I can tell he knows what he's doing. I'm very happy with his services. In addition, he's a very nice guy. I had problems with the spinning program on my washer. He had told me over the phone that the charge was $ 80 to come and see what the problem was. He came and stayed about an hour and 1/2 because I didn't have the notice he had to look things up. He did not charge me more. Then he ordered the new part, came and changed it a few days later. Done ! I will call him again if I have other problems.

The work is not yet done. Waiting for the repair parts to come in and be in stalled. Cannot rate properly until finished.

Came to house, diagnosed that a new ice-maker was needed, stated it would take 2 business days to come in then he would return to replace ice-maker. Paid $80.00 for service call. Never heard from them again. Didn't return my phone calls. Never use this company. Not reliable.

Came and collected fee, looked at fridge & said needed part, haven't heard back from him since, said he would order part & would be back in a day or two, haven't heard from them in weeks.
