When I asked them to order parts that I thought might break in the near future, they ordered it for free and sent it to me. Besides for their effective great work, they were very professional and service oriented. I would recommend them and they were very good. They told me before they started the work, how much it would cost. They went above and beyond helping me. The price didn’t seem outrageous for the parts and labor.
Description of Work: Sears Parts & Repair Center fixed my ice maker in the refrigerator about three weeks ago.

+ -1 moreWe bought these appliances right before Gustav and just had not had time until recently to pursue the water leak issue. When the dish washer began emitting a burning smell, we called the company we bought it from for service. Sears charges $125 as a labor charge for the first appliance and once on site will look at another for an additional $40. In both cases the problem was resultant of poor or haphazard installation. The repairman recognized that there were installation issues and we even talked at length about how all our homes have multiple electrical connections using plastic wire nuts which last the life of the homes. He laughed at my dilemma saying "Sorry, your one year warranties have expired." The repairman spent more time sitting at his laptop dialing in my credit card than he did working with the appliances. We feel we were taken advantage of and do not see any merit at all in Sears position. We'll never buy from Sears again.
Description of Work: On appliance #1, a Kitchen-Aide dish washer, the 120VAC pigtail make up was burning. The repairman clipped back the wires and re-used the same plastic wire nuts. This means the installers did not take their time and were not careful installing the dish washer. On appliance #2, a Kitchen-Aide refrigerator/freezer side by side, water was leaking onto the floor each time we used the water dispenser. The problem was a plastic "T" connection was loose; the rubber tubing had not been pushed on sufficiently. Another bungled installation issue.
