+ -1 moreJeff met with me within a day after I notified him of my problem (I had erroneously thought that I had a tick infestation) and explained the process, including what I'd need to do to prepare for the treatment. He scheduled the treatment for the following day, and his assistant treated my house, a process which took several hours. I found some residual bedbugs a week or so later, and Jeff and his assistant returned to my home. He followed up at least two subsequent times to insure that the problem was resolved. He also took my bed's headboard home with him and treated it, returning it on a later visit. He gave me numerous bedbug monitors and recommended post-treatment actions to prevent future infestation. All of the appointments accommodated my work schedule. Bedbugs are really difficult to eradicate, and Jeff did an incredible job. He returned to my home so many times and was so conscientious that I paid him an additional $100 (he never asked for additional funds). Not only was Jeff and his employees competent, but they were a pleasure to have in my home.
Description of Work: He tried my house for bedbugs, which were brought in by a house-sitter who normally resided in motels.

+ -1 moreWhen we moved from Ohio to Louisiana in 2010, we were advised to have quarterly pest control service. I looked for a local business and found Pied Piper. They offered a competitive price and prompt service. If there is ever a need between quarterly treatments, they come out without any additional charge. One evening I opened the back door and one of those huge roaches flew in (I think it's called a Palmetto bug). It landed and then ran under the stove. I called Pied Piper in the morning and they came out quickly and vanquished the beast.

+ -1 moreThey were so great. It just started to pour when they were here, the poor guy was soaking wet and he sat in his truck and waited for the rain to stop, so he could finish the job. That is how good they were. It was really hard to get this coordinated because I have a stray cat that was living under the house, and I had to trap her and get her to the vet. So I had to make the appointment hoping that I would be able to trap her and they just were really great working with me on that. I am just a tenant, there were some problems with the owner of the house, and there was some miscommunication, so the appointment almost got canceled on me. I already had the cat at the vet and I didn’t really have more than a day because they don’t keep the cat overnight. However, they really stepped up and came anyway. They are a family owned business and they have been in business for a long time. I am getting them back next spring to do it again. I have already recommended them to other people. I have a big house and a big courtyard, so the price was worth it.
Description of Work: I used Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc. for flea problems. They sprayed underneath my house and in the courtyard.

+ -1 moreDuring swarming season, we discovered the ugly truth that we had termits infesting our sunporch. There were so many of them! Jeff Addison of Pied Piper came out, looked everything over and determined a plan of attack. He and his staff performed treatments to get rid of the existing termites and then they put down a barrier system around the entire house and garage to prevent any future infestations from taking place. They were punctual, polite and seemed to really know their stuff. I have already referred them to my son who discovered he, too, has termites. His problem isn't as bad as mine was, but they are now being overtaken and treament will begin on the entire house soon.

+ -1 moreI wasn't very convinced by their procedure. It wasn't them in particular, but the industry's procedure. They were going to put some squirrel traps in my yard, but I preferred to go a different route. I found that their prices were quite high and was determined by the number of squirrels.

+ -1 morePrompt, professional, completed the job for less than the originally quoted price (to beat the competition), finished a messy and labor-intensive job in a reasonable time frame.
Description of Work: Jeff from Pied Piper treated all the buildings (nine) in our condominium complex for termites with liquid Termidor and put them under contract. His quote was very reasonable (about $1900 per building, about $11K for our whole complex with nine buildings), based on linear feet around the building. This is a labor-intensive job, requiring trenching all the way around the perimeter of each building, drilling holes in piers and concrete, etc. Jeff and his small team did a great job and finished with a minimum of mess and noise in about a week. For such a large complex, I was pleased. When we sought multiple bids for the job, Jeff agreed to meet the lowest bid, so his actual price ended up being just slightly lower than all the others. He has been in this business for over 20 years and the people who work for him are mostly family and experienced exterminators. Our condominium association's buildings are now covered by termite contracts at a very reasonable annual renewal fee. This means that if there is an infestation which requires re-treatment while we're under contract, they will re-treat at no cost. It also means they'll come inspect the properties annually for any termite infestations before renewing the contract. I feel very comfortable that Pied Piper has provided our condo complex with reliable, thorough termite protection.
