About us

We are a locally owned and operated company, employing 6 employees. Occasionally we will recommend other services such as carpenters when a customer is needing/wanting an area that is allowing pests to enter the home corrected and is outside our expertise. Jeff Addison is the licensee of our company, and all the other technicians are Louisiana certified through the Department of Agriculture & Forestry. Jeff and all our technicians attend regular trainings to keep up on the cutting edge of pest, termite and mold control. We offer free estimates for both pest and termite control. Residential customers are expecting to pay for services upon the satisfactorly completion of the job. We work with commercial customers on a Net 30 basis. We offer all new customers a 15% discount as a thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be of service to your pest, termite or mold control needs.

Description of Work: This was through a deal offered through Angie's List. A professional and helpful employee came to treat the indoor and outdoor for insect pests. I plan to use this service again. |I have requested an estimate for termite treatment which was not possible on the above service days; however it has been weeks, and no followup has occurred to my knowledge. I assume they are plenty busy.

Description of Work: The technician came when he said he would, sprayed around my apartment, and was finished within the hour. He came back for a followup treatment 2 weeks later and did the same thing. We haven't seen a roach since the first treatment.

Description of Work: I was very impressed with this service provider and the GREAT customer service that they provided to me. They really went above and beyond to make me happy. I am requesting this refund because something came up within our family that has made this service unaffordable at this time. However, we would gladly do work with Pied Piper when the funds are available.

Description of Work: Vendor sold his 1250.00 termite package to Angie for a big deal of 695.00 . It seems that at that price he can not do the required work and make a profit. So it seems that he is trying to charge for everything extra to make up the difference . I have had several vendors come out to bid the job . For 1250.00 I should be able to get all the things that he wanted to charge for extra. If he can not make a profit at 695.00 , thats between him and Angie , not between him and me . So I need to cancel the deal and find someone else to do the work.

I'm Jeff Addison, the owner of Pied Piper Pest Control, Inc. I enjoyed meeting the custome and discussing his needs for a termite treatment. We offered a great price to perform a complete soil termite treatment using Termidor termiticide. We prepared to treat the entire exterior perimeter of his home as well as two bath traps under his tubs. However, one tub is enclosed with ceramic tile. There is no access unless we cut out some of the ceramic tiles, then cut the wood backing that the tiles are mounted onto. This takes time as well as expertise. The customer felt that doing ceramic tile work should be part of the job. I disagree. Customer has a unique bath tub enclosure. It requires a licensed tile contractor to perform this work. I explained to the customer that we are not carpenters or "tile" people, and that we can do the work( for $50 extra dollars), but we will not be responsible for replacing any chipped or broken tiles. Pied Piper is willing to treat his home for the sale price if he makes an access. In my opinion, this is more than fair. The customer was very nice. We had a disagreement as to what this promotion entailed. We cannot alter the man's bathroom.

Description of Work: Treated an apt. for roach infestation. They also responded without hesitation to a return visit request to re-apply the pesticide after a few remaining roaches were spotted. The service guy moved appropriate appliance & even treated the bathroom; plus he left some chemicals & roach motels. They honored a groupon coupon after sending their invoice which neglected it. This was a clerical error and was not the resposibility of the service technician.

When we moved from Cincinnati to Gretna, in May 2010, we were advised to contract with a pest control company. We wanted to use a local business and contacted Pied Piper. The man arrived promptly at the appointed time; explained their services, inspected the house and applied pesticide. Every three months they call us to schedule an appointment and always arrive on time. I also called them once in between times, in the late spring when I saw termites swarming around an outside light. They explained that termites are attracted to the light and it does not mean that my house is infested; but that they probably live nearby. They inspected my house and assured me that we did not have termites. We subsequently have had the house stripped all the way down to the studs, inside and out, and they were right, there was no sign of termite damage anywhere. They are polite, professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Pied Piper Pest Control.
Description of Work: Quarterly pest control; inspect house and yard for signs of problems, and apply pesticide to prevent bugs in the house.
