Description of Work: I have been calling Carl (Southeast Heating and Air) for my HVAC needs for about 5 yrs - ever since he was recommended to me by a friend.. He installed a new unit a few years ago, made upgrades on another occasion and has troubleshooted my system a half dozen times. A couple of days ago I called him when one of our units stopped functioning. I was at work and my wife was about to perish. Over the phone he immediately and correctly identified the problem (clogged drain pipe on the condensation collection pan) and provided instruction on how to fix it. This is a typical experience with Carl. Super nice guy, knows what he is doing, and unerringly honest. This was not the first time he interrupted his work to give me free advice over the phone. And he will never over sell you on work or equipment you don't need. I wanted to replace the heating unit with the AC and he talked me out of it. I suspect Carl gets his work by word of mouth. I myself have recommended him many times. As such, it seems that Carl is getting busy. It's just him and a helper or two so you may have to forgive him if he is unable to respond to an emergency home visit.

Description of Work: I have used him for air conditioning and heating work for around 8 years. He has done seasonal tune-ups, repairs, drianpan overflows, coil replacement, and other work.

Description of Work: Carl returned my calls promptly and graciously spent over 30 min helping me to trouble shoot my A/C problem over the phone. His advice was accurate, and he even suggested I could replace my fan motor myself. That's more than just good work ethic, it was downright friendly and more accommodating than I could have expected. Clearly he is not out to rake anyone over. I hope to do business with him again...and actually pay him for his services (just a little guilty feeling here).

Description of Work: Mr.Rogers purchased for us a special air conditioner filter and installed it, explained exactly how to monitor the air conditioner and where to purchase the next filter. He went into the attic and checked the heater and explained what to do to maintain the unit more efficiently ourselves.

Description of Work: I am remodeling (fall 07) an older garden district home that had 3 windows units and that never had central air/heating. The house needed 10 drops to be installed in the attic, the AC/heater unit upstairs, and the blower outside. I am on a tight budget and schedule. I needed the house to have HVAC quickly, and needed it under cost to be able to afford other remodeling needs.

The coil was leaking really badly and I had called Annison Bitter who had put in the unit and they wanted an outrageous amount of money to replace the interior unit in the attic. It was in the dead of summer and we were desperate. We had no cold air at all. It was so stifling we couldn't stay in the house. Someone recommended Carl at Southeast Heating and Air. He asked a lot of questions about the unit and what happened. He gave me a quote that was very reasonable and had a team to put in the unit within a week. The guys did a great job and we had our air conditioner back!
