After a call to Scott Fencing, somebody finally returned our call and came out to give us an estimate on our fencing needs. This was not done in a timely manner. When the individual showed up to our house, I explained to him the THREE different estimates we needed and handed him a detailed drawing that my husband had done for all three options. (Note - my husband is an engineer, so it was all done to scale.) The representative said he understood and didn't need the drawing for his estimates. I went inside to allow him to walk around and write up our estimates. After about 15 minutes, I started to worry about him and went to check. He was GONE! He left without telling me any information. A week or so later we received an email with the estimates. The problem was he only did 2 of the estimates we requested. If he had taken the drawing showing specifically what I needed, he would've understood the 3 I needed. Due to his unprofessionalism and missing requests, we chose not to do business with Scott Fencing.

My experience with them was good. There were no problems. It is a good company they have been around a long time. The pricing was competitive.

They came on time. They gave the estimate and answered all my questions. One of the owners was actually out here giving me the estimate. The two guys that came out to work actually worked. It was amazing. They were really good. They did a great job on this. I had a very good experience.

Full of promises but never delivered.

I received a quote in early May from Chris and called on 6/14 for the work to be done. The guys showed up on 6/17 and got the posts up and came back the next day to finish the project. There were 4 workers and they were very efficient getting the job done. We had some issues since our driveway has a slope, so when it was almost finished and the gate didn't open completely on one side they gave me 2 options. They said they could cut the bottom panels of the gate or lift the entire gate. If they lifted the entire gate they would need to remove the set panels and redo. They made sure that I knew that it was what I wanted and it didn't matter if they had to do additional work. I decided on lifting the gate so there wouldn't be a large bottom gap and the top would match. They redid the entire project. At the end of the project I asked about the pole lock (that goes into the concrete) and they indicated that it wasn't on the paperwork, but had an extra one in their truck. They installed the pole lock, drilled into the concrete, and by the look of it had a little difficulty. After the job, I was pretty satisfied. A couple of things worth mentioning. They left a few tools, which I don't mind, but when I called Chris he said that he would be out Tuesday to get them and he didn't show. It's now the following Monday and I need to call again. The gate is also missing inside hardware for the hinge that goes on the pole lock. I mentioned it to Chris and he said that it was indeed on the paperwork (he said that he starred it) and he would take a look at it. They have cashed my check, but I still feel like the job isn't done.

Phillip came out to give us an estimate. About 1 week later the workers came to start on the fence and had it completed within about 4 days. They worked extremely fast although they did miss a few boards and had to go manually nail the boards. Other than that they were great.

I got the estimate and the guys showed up to do the work on the day scheduled. They removed the fence and set the posts one day, then returned the next day to put in the fence panels and gate. When they were finished I took a look at the job. The fence looked ok, but upon closer inspection they just left holes in the ground from the old posts (the new fence joined the house a different spot). When I complained they grudgingly thew in some sand. Then I noticed that they left the old fasteners from the fence on the ground. I picked them up myself and sent the guys on their way. After they left, I saw that they had used my hose for the cement work. Ok, but they left it on the ground and ran over my nozzle on the way out. They also pulled the hose through a bunch of plants. Finally, the magnetic gate was not properly adjusted. I figured out how to do it myself. Over the next year I kept finding bits of fence hardware in the yard, and the gate kept sagging. When I called them (just before the warranty expired) about the gate they sent someone to fix it. It was ok for a little while, but kept sagging. Finally I dug it out myself and saw that the concrete was only a few inches thick. I dug it out and reset it, and it has been fine for the last year. My impression is that the management is ok, but the guys who did my work couldn't have cared less.
