Roto-Rooter

Setup up an appointment with Roto rooter through their website two days before I requested their service to unplug a sink. They showed up at the requested time, did a good job unplugging the sink and even put the trap back together for me. First rate! The service provider was neat, polite and professional. I received an email acknowledging the appointment and even though I gave them a wrong cell number, they still showed up on time.

Runoff from the A/C unit in the attic was draining up through the roof vent onto the roof instead of down through the shower vent line to the house drain. I called Roto-Rooter at 3:50pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Got a callback at 4pm from the dispatcher telling me that a technician was on his way. About 15 minutes later Tommy H. arrived, introduced himself, and asked me to explain what was happening. He got on the roof and went to work. Algae buildup, rust, sludge, and hair was blocking the line. After coming down from the roof, he explained how to keep that line clear by once a year pouring bleach down the line from the roof to kill the algae that forms during the summer months. Pipes are over 50 years old . . . copper and cast iron . . . don't use chemicals/acids to clear the lines, and they'll last longer. Tommy H. was professional, knowledgeable, and good at his job. Based on this experience, I will use Roto-Rooter if needed in the future.

Septic tank was backing up so we called roto rooter. The man came out and and quot;finished the job.and quot; Well, a week later it was even worse than before! So he came again and said a pump specialist would come out the following Tuesday. He never showed. We called and called - no answer and no call back! Now it's storming and it's making the problem so much worse. Literally up sh*t creek without a paddle.

Called the phone number on Angie's List page for them and told them my problem. Nice service guy. Told me the price when I asked. Told me he would dispatch someone and they would be there same afternoon. They were there in 20 minutes. Would have liked a phone call prior to their arrival that they were on their way, but did not specifically ask for phone call. Happy they were there so fast, just surprised. Guys got to work immediately. Worked from the drain opening outside my house near my sink. Needed an electrical outlet inside the house for their cord that would reach out to where they were working. Professional behavior. Answered my questions. Kept me informed. Done quickly. Charged what I was told. Satisfactory job.

Upon calling in to schedule an appointment, the dispatcher ascertained my address and already had a prior file for service my home. That put me at ease. They maintain an updated file on their clients. The service person was professional, alert, prompt and carried out his duties in an efficient, knowledgable manner. After completing his duties he offered helpful information on how to keep the sewer line operating freely. I would use this company again.

On a Friday afternoon, I discovered a large water leak around my air conditioner unit. I called several and quot;home repairand quot; services and was given a variety of excuses why no one was available to help me, regardless of the cost. Roto Rooter responded and sent two men within the hour. They located the source of the leak and repaired it in under an hour. The men were courteous and skilled. After previous experiences with local other and quot;home repairand quot; services I was very impressed

Woke up to find both toilets not draining after being flushed. I called and the crew was here within the hour. An hour later they had the job finished beyond my expectations, and was relieved to find out it wasn't going to take a 2nd mortgage to pay for it. The two plumbers that did the work were very knowledgeable, straight-forward, and professionalism. They came recommended from a co-worker, and I would recommend them to my friends and family.

The visit Went very well the technician showed up on time he was very professional and very knowledgeable got the job done in a timely manner when I had to call him for the second call he had indicated he could do a thorough investigation to get to the root cause of the problem. he was able to do that and now I am a much happier person.

They came on time. In fact, it was on a Saturday, and they came later in the day. The overall experience was excellent.

Terrific. Easier, faster and cheaper than I would have dared to hope for.

They did a great job. They fixed the problem and replaced the handles. The guy who came to help had to go to another town to get the new handles specific to my shower. The price included his labor and everything.

It happened late at night, that's why I called so much. They do a good job. They are prompt. They are very professional. They can manage work.

I had attempted to clear the clog myself the night before but with no success. I called Roto Rooter at 2:30 pm. They told me they would call me in a little while to tell me when they could send a plumber out. They called me at 2:45 pm. and said that a plumber was on his way. He arrived about 3:10 pm. and was done at 3;25. Tommy was very professional and cheerful. He told me that there was a Thirty day guarantee on the drain working, and if there was a problem that he would be back out to fix it without any coast. This was excellent service by a highly skilled plumber. I have used Roto Rooter before and have been very satisfied with their service. I don't anticipate and problems with the work done today.

We discovered sewer backup on Sunday morning, August 28, and located three companies that said they offered 24/7 emergency service. Two failed to respond, Roto Rooter was the third and I reached them on Sunday afternoon. Their answering service was out of order, but they had arranged for a technician to respond to incoming calls (which I thought was great).I needed sewer cleanout AND video inspection, and since the latter was available only M-F we agreed to wait until first thing Monday August 29. The technician arrived promptly on Monday morning and spent all the time needed (most of the morning) to un-clog the sewer line (roots) and video-inspect the line all the way to tie-in with the city main (which is where the roots problem ended up being). He left me with information about how to discuss possible reimbursement from the city of Baton Rouge and documentation about what the problem had been so that I could call the city (which I did, to good effect). Overall, a very good experience.

Five years ago, Roto-Rooter replaced my septic tank and 600 feet of tail line. They did a good job at a good price. Recently, I drove over the tank (I knew better), and collapsed the top. They sent part of the original crew who installed the tank to fix it. They could not locate a proper top for the tank, so they got a general purpose flat top. The fit was poor and the crew doing the job did not have their act together. A few days of rain later, the dirt had funneled down into the tank around the poorly fitted top. You would think that merits an F-rating, but when I called about the problem, they immediately sent a better crew and redid the work in a more professional manner. Even so, I had to and quot;superviseand quot; to make sure that I understood what they were doing. I personally, did a repair of the broken tank using fiberglass cloth and glue reinforced with cement. What they wanted to do is to replace the whole tank for a lot more money. I was not especially happy with the job. However, the crew did not object to my suggestions and repairs and even helped me do them. I believe the work will hold up for many years. I have been a happy Roto-Rooter customer for 30-years

I had an emergency plumbing issue after hours. My upstairs bathroom sink was backing up and overflowing. I called and within 15 minutes the technician called me to let me know he was on his way. I told him what was going on, and he told me right away what the issue was (my ac in the attic was draining into the same pipe and was clogged). He arrived in an hour (because of traffic) and got to work right away. He was very knowledgeable and curtious. I had to pay overtime because it was after hours, but it saved me from a flood. Worth the money. The job took about 30 minutes.

The young man was very patient. The problem didn't get resolved immediately because I couldn't give him much information and the information I gave him was wrong. He spent a lot of time working the mud out and was very thorough. Like most of us fear, I thought he was going to charge me extra for the extra work. He did not. Very satisfied.

Had a drain clog on Christmas Eve and had to call on the day after Christmas, as the clog turned out to be a problem with the pipes out of the house. (Apparently, baby wipes that say they're flushable really aren't!) We ended up having to call them twice because the first guy didn't do everything he should have. They did the job, eventually, but it should have been done right the first time. If I could have avoided having a plumbing emergency over Christmas, we would have. But it wasn't my choice. It would have been nice if he could have appreciated that I didn't really want him there any more than he wanted to be there.

It went fine overall. The yard was torn up, but I guess one should expect that with having a the whole sewer line replaced.

Placed phone call, received call back stating the truck would be there in under an hour. Truck showed up in about 45 minutes....snaked the line as was gone in 10 mins. I did a bit of the prep work like uncovering the cleanout, but I was still very satisfied.

The serviceman arrived at the appointed time. Promptly performed his services and cleaned up everything before leaving.

Worked great - haven't yet had a problem with the sink

He was called at about 7:00am with a commitment to show up before noon. He called ahead and arrived at about 8:00am. The technician was friendly, professional and very helpful. Although the location of the buried main sewer clean out was unknown to us, he was sucessful in locating it quickly. He gave us an estimate before hand and proceeded to route out the line for the stated cost. He left the site as he found it.

Very satisfied with the company. Always prompt and fair about their fees.

The crew (master plumber and helper) showed up on time and quickly determined the size of the problem and following discussion of options with me, adjusted their solution to meet my longer term needs rather than to just fix today's problem. The guys didn't have the necessary valve on their truck (they happily went to go get what was needed), returned promptly and completed the job in a short period of time. The bill was a little more than what was discussed on the phone, but in light of the fact that they had to shag extra parts and install a valve box, I was more than happy to pay the bill, take a shower and make my afternoon flight out of town. Would call them first next time I need something done in short order.
