Description of Work: A/C repair/Follow up service.

Description of Work: Mark emptied water from a pan that had overflowed. He took pictures as he examined the unit in the attic. He explained all of the work that he needs to complete, but the unit was running well when he left. I am going to call him as soon as possible to get it in tip-top shape! After that, he will come once each year in March or April for a spring check.

Description of Work: He fixed our air conditioner because someone had put it in wrong.

Description of Work: Mark diagnosed the problem with a heat/cool window unit. He set up the appointment and came when he said he would. He fixed the problem and is coming back to fix a problem with a refrigerator.

Description of Work: Cleaned unit, its filter and replaced about 50% of freon. Most of cost was for freon.

Description of Work: Rewired not-to-code light ballasts and light socket. Replaced worn electrical wires on outside house security lighting. Installed GFI to carport lights for safety. Replaced broken parts in refrigerator to rectify ice dispenser malfunction. Also he totally cleaned (blew out all the old dust) from the motor/condenser at the back of the refrigerator. Diagnosed broken window air conditioner unit as to malfunction problem. Diagnosed other security light issue and offered good affordable solutions.

Description of Work: Mark did some work earlier this year for us. We were very pleased and called him back for a few other things. Outdoor GFI for yard lights needed replacing (also fixed the wrong way the old one had been done). Replaced and correctly installed 4 hall switches so that they would work as they should. Did the same for all switches in the living room. Fixed a hanging light.

Description of Work: Checked washer and found that the doggets and gasket were worn out. Removed and replaced. Checked electric dry and found it was clogged with lint in blower and vint line. He vacuumed out the bottom of dryer, vent screen, vent pipe . Went in attic and determined vent pipe was clogged.

Description of Work: I had a plug in my bathroom that kept blowing out. It took him several hours to repair.

Description of Work: My dishwasher stopped working properly, and I found this company on Angie's List. I was impressed with how many favorable reviews they had already received, so I called and made an appointment with Mark. He showed up on time, was very friendly, and explained everything that he was doing as he worked on the dishwasher. It didn't take Mark long to diagnose the problem, and he said that he needed to search for a particular part to fix it. We made a follow-up appointment, and he was on time again. Mark had researched the problem and advised that it would not be economically feasible to repair the dishwasher. His advice was not based on a quick decision, but rather based on his research and experience. I appreciated his honesty, and I know that I will contact him again if I need a repair man for any of my other appliances.

Description of Work: Wednesday Dec 12 2012: per Angie’s List, Mark Babin came to our house and examined the fuse box in the apt. He determined that it had overloaded and that’s why the apt. t.v. and everything in the apt. kitchen except the fridge and the living room overhead light/ceiling fan had burned out. He replaced the wires and gave me two little black boxes to throw away, because he said if he left them around, somebody would pick them up and put them back in the fuse box and then everything would burn out all over again. He assured us that the house was not in danger of fire from the fuse box in the apt. and from the central a/c. Then he loosened some burnt wires in the ceiling light (hadn't turned on in years) in the bedroom and said that he needed to replace the fixture and the switch. I bought what Mark needed at Lowe's, that day. Also, we were having trouble with the central air/heat, and the temperature was going down. The heat turned on, but the blower did not, and the house stayed cold. Mark examined the blower, and he said that something was jamming it. Nothing else was going to kick on, until the blower moved. THEN other items could get going and the flames could start. He showed me all the safety “turnoff” features in the Amana, and he said that Amana was a great central heat/air system. He was waiting for something. Then he heard what he suspected, something rattling in the big gray metal ducts that come into the furnace, and IT WAS PIECES OF A DEAD LIZARD. Just as he predicted, something, a dead creature, was blocking the blower and preventing everything else from happening. The central heat has worked fine all night. He will come back today and replace the wiring and put in the fixture we bought and the new light switch. Update: everything is still working great, six weeks later.

Description of Work: Mark did the spray foam for my metal building. The building is 20' wide x 30' long x 11' legs up to a 14.5' peak. I had the inside walls sprayed with closed cell spray foam insulation. The windows and doors were protected with plastic before the spraying began, and the floor was also protected. All of the small openings and any parts that could not be easily sprayed were prepped first with a comparible insulation so that the spray would go on flawlessly. It did. Great job by Mark!

Description of Work: Mark changed out electrical outlets, changed a part on our Air Conditioner and checked out our A/C-heating.
