Description of Work: Checked AC unit which was not functioning effectively. Fixed it and performed annual service on two air conditioning systems.

Description of Work: I have a service contract with One Hour Heating and Air and they came out 3-16-10 to perform my spring cleaning of my air conditioner. I was also told a wire was burnt and needed to be replaced or my unit could stop working at any time. I told the technician I would discuss with my husband any repairs needed and reschedule him to come out. My husband did not see any burnt wires in the outside unit. The weather was nice so we did not turn the unit on for a couple weeks. A couple days after running our air I went into a bathroom that is not used and water was pouring from the ceiling. The pan from the air conditioner in the attic was overflowing. I called One Hour Heating and Air and they came out that day. A different technician came out inspected the unit in the attic and said he didn't see anything wrong. He checked the outside unit for the burnt wire (my husband was with him) and couldn't find one. He said he blew the line upstairs to make sure there was no clog. Three hours later same problem but it was after hours. My husband had to empty the drain pan several times. Again, the pan overflowed and water came through the ceiling and down the walls. We called Mark's Maintenance and Mark came out the same day. Upon entering the attic he immediately noticed the problem. Our unit was not level and was preventing the water from reaching the drain pipe. Mark noticed one of the straps holding the unit up had broke and had been reattached but the unit was not leveled. No one had been in the attic except for One Hour's technician. Mark was able to fix this problem by readjusting the strap and then reattaching the overflow switch which was just balanced in place. I then asked him to check my outside unit. He also found nothing wrong with any of the wires. He did comment that the unit had not been properly cleaned. I plan on ending my service contract with One Hour Heating and Air and having Mark's Maintenance provide the service. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: Mr. Babin inspected our A/C unit, replaced freon, adjusted & repaired (as best he could given the condition/age) of the thermostat. He also provided us with a very detailed listing of all additionally needed repairs for our home warranty company, as well as an estimate to replace the unit.

Description of Work: I asked Mark to diagnose a leaking built-in dishwasher. On the first visit, he recommened I purchase a new dishwasher and I agreed. On the second visit, he installed a new Kenmore that I had purchased.

Description of Work: Mark showed up on time,was very professional, and honest. He checked out the situation and we both came to the conclusion that the cost of the job would be too expensive to justify the expense.

Description of Work: Mark performed maintenance on my central gas heat/ac, serviced a broken secondary electric heat/ac and changed out both thermostats.

Description of Work: Replaced a leaking condensing coil in inside unit

Description of Work: An electrical problem caused loss of power to two rooms of my rental house. The circuit breakers were checked, the junction boxes, and all effected outlets.

Description of Work: I e-mailed Mark's Maintenance on Tuesday, August 19th, after 6 pm. I listed the work I needed done and gave my cell phone number for him to call the next day. The next day before 10 a.m Mark called. He explained he was only doing a/c work, appliance repair and electrical at this time because he was so busy. He explained up front he would not be able to do my plumbing projects until the a/c work slowed down. He arranged to come out the next between 2:30 and 3:00 pm. He was right on time. First he diagnosed the dryer problem. He located the part in Baton Rouge and arranged to pick it up the next day. Then he adjusted the air flow vents in my attic into the various rooms. He also got in the attic and fiddled with some insulation around a bathroom heater/vent that was giving me problems. He suggested I do some a/c maintenance on my unit outside since it had never been done in 9 or 10 years. He said he would be back out the next day, Friday, by 8:30. At 8:25 he pulled in the driveway. He replaced the dryer part, flushed out and thoroughly cleaned my outside unit, cut away and replaced an insulating pad over the big cord that runs from my a/c into my attic and nailed and caulked an electrical box back to the wall which had been hanging loose for a long time. His cost was less than I expected it to be for all the work he did. He was very friendly and did a great job. I will definitely use him again and have already recommended him to a family member that may be in need of his services. I couldn't have for a better experience.

Description of Work: Replaced cooling coil, furnace, plenum, some ducts, cleaned outside unit, charged freon, replaced thermostat.

Description of Work: I called with the bathroom electricity flickering or going out completely. Mark came and worked on it. He thought it was fixed but a few hours later, it went out completely. Mark returned and replaced a circuit breaker and for a very reasonable price and a cheerful attitude we had all 3 lights working which had never worked in 3 years! We were more than satisfied with Mark.

Description of Work: Removed and had all external light fixtures rewired and then replaced. Installed three exterior flood lights, 1 chandelier, and 2 bathroom light/fans.

Description of Work: My dryer quit working and the vent quit blowing air becuase of a severe lint clog. Mark cleaned the clog in less than ten minutes!

Description of Work: We bought a dishwasher and when the installer came to install the dishwasher, he noticed a leak under the sink. He recommended that we fix the leak before installing the dishwasher fully. We hired Mark to fix the leak and then finish the installation of the dishwasher. While he was at the house, I asked him to quote a price on the rest of the problems we were having, including several electrical outlets that didn't work, a bathroom light that didn't work, toilets that ran continuously and our disposal switch which would not shut off.

Description of Work: Mark removed an evaporator coil and plenum for a 2&1/2 ton ac unit. He replaced it with a 3 ton all style coil, re-routed several ducts and copper tubing and installed a new plenum. He welded in liquid line drier, insulated and wrapped duct work on both front and back ac units, and replaced a vent from the furnace.

Description of Work: Hang a full-length mirror, hang a shelf on the wall, and assemble bookshelves.

Description of Work: I have a son living in Baton Rouge in a condo we purchased. The garbage disposal was not working and this was the second disposal we had installed. I figured it was malfunctioning and did not need replacing. I wanted someone to look at the disposal who was not trying to sell me a new one. So, I checked Angie's List and found Mark's company. I gave the information to my son and had him call to schedule the appointment. Mark came out the same day, actually within a few hours. He found the problem, corrected it and charged us $65, which was what he said his service call fee would be. My son had a problem with his printer and asked Mark about it. Mark said he didn't do that type of work, but referred my son to someone who could help.

Description of Work: Connected a 220V outlet and rewired other plugs during a kitchen remodel.
