Description of Work: My A/C was just not keeping up with the worst of the August summer heat. The technician got here well within the time frame scheduled, discussed the problem and symptoms with me and went to work. He checked the temp at every vent and return, did a very thorough check of the ducts, return, and air mover in the attic, and checked the outside unit. Fixed the problem for us and described each step of the way. Excellent service.

Description of Work: JR estimated he would be at my Mom's house in 2-1/2 to 3 hours, and he was there within 2 hours! This was on Saturday morning 4th of July weekend! Fantastic! He diagnosed the problem quickly, which was a bad capacitor for the condenser fan. It was an odd size, but he had one on the truck! Excellent! He noticed the coils were very dirty and offered to wash them while he was there. He was very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and efficient throughout the service call. The price was very fair. We were extremely happy with the experience and will definitely use this company for all of our heating and air conditioning needs in the future. Thank you, JR. And, thank you Angie!

Description of Work: We had service on July 1, getting a freon recharge. On July 3rd our unit died. The repairman was there within 15 minutes. Before 8 am on July 4th a new unit was installed. They applied what I spent on the 1st toward the new unit (but did forget my Angie's List 5% off coupon which my husband may have forgotten to remind them of.). I feel fortunate to have discovered Central Hearing and Air and after them working on a holiday to make sure we were cool, I will not hesitate to call them again.

Description of Work: We needed just an overall check if our AC units and clean out. They did an outstanding job, were very friendly, on time, and the cost was extremely reasonable. We are very satisfied and will definitely call on them again.

Description of Work: I called Central Heating & Air at 8:30pm on a Friday night. The answering service took my information and I was called back within 15 to 20 minutes. The owner, Ronnie, returned my call and walked me through how to find the breaker switch and model and serial number on the outdide compressor so he would have all of the proper supplies in the morning. This was the third ac repair service that checked and repaired the ongoing problem. The first company thought the system was freezing up due to the temperature setting being to low. The second company sent out a service man Friday evening and he properly diagnossed the problem that the compressor was becoming hot therefore cutting out the cool. The reasons for this occuring were all appropriately stated. Because he was a repair man and not the owner his hands were tied as to completing the project at that time. So I called Central Heating and air because of the review's on angie's list. The owner and a repairman showed up at my home around 7:45am on Saturday without any extra cost charged for weekend overtime. The system was complete by 9:30am. I will continue to use this company and I felt the price was on target from the research I have read.
