Carter Contracting

Alan and his crew were great to work with. They were in my home for over 4 weeks. As the job progressed, my wife and I had some modifications to the original plan that we wanted incorporated. Alan was very cooperative and did not "nickel and dime" us. He was vey fair with his pricing. The job essentially involved updating a 2600 sq ft ranch. Every sq inch of space was painted. Walls, ceilings, cabinets and built-ins. Much of the house was torn down to the studs, so there was quite a bit of new drywall to hang.We had crown molding and new baseboards installed. All new door and window frames also. There was also quite a bit of electrical work done in almost every room in the house. Ceiling fans, bathroom fans, new outlets, repairs, etc. The job came out beautifully. We occasionally would ask Alan for his opinion based on his experience and he was forthcoming and very helpful. Carter Contracting made what could have been a very trying experience a rewarding and satisfying one. I will definitely use them again.

It was a perfect turnkey job. They arrived on time and worked nonstop and were so neat I couldn't tell they had been here. I had them paint several doors and trim and windows. I am totally pleased with the work and have recommended them to friends.

It went well. Mr. Carter was courteous and was able do all requested work in a day. He found additional issues which he corrected for a decent price. The quality of work was excellent and he cleaned up afterward.

Family room and formal dining area, have twelve foot with a step down to eleven foot for the formal dining area, ceilings. The family room ceiling has a foot wide trim, that includes Crown Molding. The kitchen and dinette area have ceilings that start at twelve foot and drops to about nine foot. The walls, ceilings, and trim were different colors. All work was expertly completed on schedule and on time. Mr. Carter and his crew were professional, courteous and amiable. If I started another painting project tomorrow, I would give the job to Carter Contracting.

Wow !!! What a fantastic job. Alan and his crew are timely, neat, hard workers, trustworthy, and eager to please. Professionals in every sense of the word. They painted my entire interior including difficult trim. My house looks better than when it was brand new. We highly recommend Carter Painting. You will love your house even more when you do.

Alan and his crew worked several late nights to get us started as pre-move. We are now on his list to come back at differing times. So when he has a rainout day or slow time we try to schedule him to come in and work in other rooms. It has gone well. We have changed some of the things we want done and the order that things are painted, corrected in. Alan and his crew are flexible to our changes. Our home will be an ongoing project for a while, we hope to be able to continue using Carter Contracting.

Mr. Carter was great and I would use him again. Already planning to use him again to paint the downstairs. May even purchase the special again if it still exists. You can't go wrong using Carter Construction.

The service went okay. They did exactly what the deal stated. Three guys showed up. One guy stayed for one hour and the other two stayed for 4 hours each. I was supposed to get 16 hours of painting and I believe I only got 13 hours. They were not very flexible with my schedule at all. I had to take off work a lot to be able to have them do the job. They showed up late a lot and were poor at managing their time. They had poor communication skills and even missed an appointment one of the days. I had them paint the trim throughout the house. They did a nice job with the painting.

We contracted Allen and his crew to finish our kitchen. We had performed to some extent some improvements to our kitchen ceiling, Allen and his crew finished floating the ceiling and then installed crown molding. Following this work, they sanded the cabinets for the entire kitchen and then completely repainted them as well as the kitchen. The work took approx. 7 work days. I cannot say enough good things about Allen and his crew. They were on-time every day. They continued to work throughout the day until quitting time. They were very personable and answered any questions we may had. They even did things that we requested and were not part of the project. On the weekend, they made access for us to our kitchen when they were not working. Allen did a final walk-thu and corrected any issues. Only one issue arose and that was concerning insurance. At the beginning of the project, Carter Contracting did not have insurance coverage. At the end of the week, they provided insurance. This was an issue I should have discussed with Allen prior to them arriving to do the work, but I mentioned it at the last minute. I would definitely use them again and we are still thinking about future painting and carpentry projects.

The job went great! They worked very hard and were very pleasant to have in our home. The end result was exactly what we where hoping for!

I purchased an Angies List coupon offering 2 painters for a day for 1/2 price by a reputable painter. Allen Carter always answered my phone calls and he was punctual and professional. He first came by the house to look at the work which involved priming and painting a built-in cabinet/bookcase in my living room and a small cabinet over a toilet in the guest bath that were previously installed by a carpenter and were unfinished. He gave us advice on what kind of primer and paint to get and we agreed on a date to perform the work. He stuck to the schedule and on the day of the work, he was polite and communicated well with my wife who was home while he was painting. He had to come back the following morning for a couple hours to put the last finish coat on the cabinet doors. They did a great job. I would recommend Carter Contracting to anyone and they'll be my first call the next time I need something painted.

Allan, Sonny, and Joseph bailed us out of wallpaper h***! After wallpaper removal our kitchen and living room walls were seriously damaged. On short notice, Allan and his crew put in 25+ hrs of work over the course of about 6 days for total $450. My walls are now painted and look great. I can't stress enough how pleasant and professional these guys were. I actually looked forward to chatting with them every morning and they helped freely with their opinions on a few other projects I had going on. Welcome in my home anytime.

The gentleman did contact me once to schedule the work, but I was called out of town and couldn't return the call and schedule the work. Thank you. Oh! I also contracted for the 4 hours of carpentry work from Mr. Robert Smith. That went well.

Allan Carter and his associate, Sunny, came on time, were very personable, professional, extremely skilled and concerned about doing the job right. They got all the work done in the 4-hour time slot that I purchased as a special promotion...they did not linger, and they even repaired a tricky curved arched drywall area in the master bathroom and it looks perfect now. I hope I don't need their services again (because that would mean there's more work to be done on the house!), but, if I did, I will definitely call them again. I highly recommend this company.

This house is mine that I am looking to lease. Mr. Carter and his team arrived on time and quickly got to work. All phone calls and quote were returned in a timely manner. I had purchased a coupon through Angie's List, but knew I needed more work done than the coupon covered. Mr. Carter had no problems with giving me the quote which included two coats and fixing all my mistakes. They were able to get in and get the job done. It looks great! He is extremely professional and will have no problems calling on him in the future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. They did the job as they said they would. They did a very good job. I paid additional because I had more things that needed to be done. They were very courteous when they could not show up because of weather or traffic conditions. They would call and let me know. Otherwise they were here on time. I couldn't have asked for better.

It went well. He was very good. He did a good job. I would recommend them to just give more attention to changing the detail of his workers doing their work.

Alan and crew did a great job! They showed up as scheduled. Another great thing is they can be trusted! The guys in the crew were extremely nice and a pleasure to be around. The are experienced, one of the crew has been painting since the early 70's. We are having them back in the future to do additional painting. Price was lower than other bids and fair.

Mr. Carter is very friendly, professional, and punctual. He did a very nice job with painting, sheetrock repair, and tile work. He completed all the work on schedule. We look forward to hiring him again for future projects.

VERY pleased. Extremely reliable, punctual, and easy to work with. Crew of 3 very professional and knew their work! I don't remember being so pleased with any contractor in recent years. He and his helper did an excellent job. They were punctual and worked expediently to complete the job ensuring that all of our "wants" list was satisfied. One room had hot pink walls and they were able to cover those walls such that no one but us will ever know the original color. The crew was very pleasant and worked well together. I will most definitely use his services in the very near future.
