I hired Bofingers based on the Angie's list reviews and they did not disappoint. Two days before the job was performed George arrived right on time to evaluate my problem, give me an estimate and thoroughly explain what would be done. On the day the work was performed George and his 2 experienced workers showed up right on time with their equipment, efficiently did the work and then they cleaned up my yard, patio, driveway and carport. The debris was put through a chipper on site then hauled off. I am very particular about how my bushes and trees are pruned. The job Bofingers did exceeded my expectations. All workers were polite, pleasant and professional.

George was very responsive to my initial call for a quote and came by without my needing to be home to look things over before quoting. I was concerned that me not being here for the quote would lead to misunderstanding about the work to be performed or later confusion over price and work scope. However, the quote was very detailed and offered suggestions but clearly stated the price and work to be performed. I accepted the quote and a date was set within the next couple of weeks and his crew showed up on time and ready to work. The job foreman was a very well qualified arborist who clearly explained what would be done and introduced his crew. The guys were all appropriately dressed and polite - this wasn't a gang of workers picked up at the corner on the way to the job!! I was most impressed with the equipment brought for the job, a large chipper rig and two bucket trucks were used. All of Bofinger's vehicles have painted logos and are uniform in appearance. If it seems like I'm making a big deal over appearance - I am. This is the sign of a truly professional organization and not a fly by night outfit. Sorry, that's a prejudice I picked up from military service. The job quality was great and I was consulted several times during the day about key cuts on a couple of the trees. My trees have never looked so good - one elm that I had considered cutting down is so nice looking now it really adds a lot to my home's curb appeal. The job site was left clean - very clean. Despite the heavy equipment no damage to my property was done. Little extras like trimming a young oak and cutting down a large ligustrum that weren't quoted but done free of charge were a very nice touch and much appreciated. I will use Bofinger's again.

Courteous and quick Estimating process. Once I was on the schedule everytning clicked. Workers could not get stump grinder in tight place so fee was adjusted. Happy the trees are gone and limbs are trimmed. :-)

I called the company and they went to look at the stump same day, and gave me an estimate. I ask them to go ahead and remove the stump, and they came out and removed the stump while I was at work. They removed all remaining limbs and filled the hole. Their service was very easy to schedule, and the job was done very well.

The workers he sent came on the appointed time, cut the stumps, and ground all 5 of mine and 3 of my sisters on the same day. It took only about 3 and 1/2 hours to complete both jobs.

Mr. Bofinger came to look at the work the week before the work was done. After looking over the stumps he quoted me a price of $350 for all three. One was 4ft. across, one was 3ft. and one was 21/2 ft across. He called me the next week when the ground had dried up. The men showed up at the time stated. They worked for approximately 2 hours on my yard. They also worked next door in my neighbor's yard. I am very satisfied with the work that they did and will definitely call them again the next time I need tree service.

He was very quick to call back. He was very helpful even though he knew he wasn't going to do the work, he still helped us to get the right people of the electrical company and gave us good advice on how to handle the issue with the limbs that we had. We would use him again for sure whenever we actually need to get something done.

George Bofinger is a man who loves his work and it rubs off on his crew. He and his crew of 5 or 6 arrived at 8:30 a.m. with several large pieces of equipment. Before they started taking the tree down, his crew removed the stones encircling the trunk, stacking them along the fence by the garage. They also carefully pulled up the 3 sprinklers in the bed under the tree and moved it carefully to the side. They removed the limbs with pole saws and took the branches directly to the large chipper parked on the street in front of the house which blew the mulch into the truck. Had we a use for the mulch, he would have left it for us. They took the whole tree down to the ground in about 2.5 hours. George and another of his crew went to the back and took down the small pine I'd added. While he was back there, I asked if he could do anything about the pyracantha, which at 20 feet tall, was taking over. He got a big grin on his face and started cutting, calling it lagniappe. Once his crew had removed all the brush from the property, they left, leaving one man with a truck and the stump grinder. By 1:30, the tree was gone and I was left with a nice pile of mulch. The man ground the stump down several feet and then, raked the mulch into a nice pile to dry. Before George left, he looked at my satsuma, telling me that I was caring for it properly and reminded me to cover it, as we were getting a hard freeze. He was able to do the whole job without putting any heavy equipment on the lawn and within one day. If I ever need an arborist again, George Bofinger's is the service I'll call.

George Bofinger determined that the tree in front did not need to be removed and explained to us that this would be detrimental to the appearance of the landscape. He pruned and trimmed it instead and, sure enough, that worked out fine. He then took down a large limb from our wild cherry tree in the side yard that had been hanging over a large camellia bush, impeding its growth. The work was done carefully and they left no limbs or debris behind. It was a pleasure from start to finish.

They showed up on time and the work was done professionally with great care to my house and property and efficiently. Great company.

Service was scheduled quickly. Bofinger's Tree Service saved our bacon, just before Gustav hit. If they had not removed our tree, we would have had to build a new house! The estimate was lower than a competitor's and the service was better than that proposed by a competitor. I am extremely pleased and grateful for the work done.
