I'll start off by saying that in 20+ years of home owning this was one of the better experiences that I have had with a contractor. Zefferino is very easy to deal with, they arrived when they said they woud, the crew was very professional and took care in not damaging mine or neighbors property. I had a very tall water oak that was dieing, a neighbors fence an arm span away, an azelea bush under it, power lines, cable and phone boxes all within 10'. The crew took the tree down without dropping a leaf from the azelea. I was very impressed. The tree came down on Tuesday, they had most of the debris and gone and stump ground by Wednesday, and on Thursday,they came back removed the remainder fo the debris, raked down the yard really well and even brought in some dirt fill the dents some of the large pieces made when they fell. I could not be happier with the service I received from Biggz. Zefferino even returns phone messages, what more could you ask for.

It was a very positive expirience. It was efficient. It was on time. It was fairly priced. Compelte clean up after the job was finished. Everyone on the crew was very polite. The owner was extremly knowledgeable about trees.

Very easy to work with. He kept me informed about when they would be performing each step of the job.( It rained a lot so we had to wait on the weather to cut the tree and then to grind the stump.) They did a great job for a good price. Highly recommend.

Zefferino was very professional and the best part: he had, by far, the best quote. To remove our one tree, we got quotes up to $7,600 - the reason being that there wasn't enough room to get a crane in the backyard and we'd have to pay a fee for each truck load for disposal. However, Zefferino quickly looked around and said they could use a crane. He didn't seem to think it'd be a problem at all - and it wasn't. He seemed to really understand that we did not have a lot of money and he wanted to help us find the most cost-efficient way to get the tree removed. He told us ways to lower the cost, for example, by disposing of the stump grinds ourselves instead of them hauling it off. No one else gave us those options or seemed to care how much it cost - they just gave us the number and explained what all they would do. I really appreciated him seeing we were a young couple buying our first house and this project was an extra cost we didn't plan on. Also, he scheduled us about 3 weeks out, but he called back when a job was canceled, so we were able to get the job done earlier than expected. I also highly recommend Biggz - for their promptness to return calls and get you a quote and for getting the job done well and quickly as possible.

The job could not have gone more efficiently. The crew came out on the day agreed upon and wasted no time getting going. A crane was brought in as two of the four trees were very large and close to the house. They cleared the debris as they went along with the small things going to a chipper and the trunks and larger limbs going to the curb, where they were picked up later that day. They finished the whole job in three hours and left everything clean as a whistle. Since this was the weekend, we had to wait until Monday for them to grind the stumps, but all work was done quickly and safely, very professional. I would highly recommend this company for any job, large or small.

Right from our first meeting I thought I had the right guy for the job, and Zefferino proved that right down to the last minute of completion of work. Zeff, presented himself as a very proffessional and competent person, with complete knowledge of every aspect of the tree business, He met with me and thoroughly discussed the job of removing a very large Live Oak tree from our backyard. The tree was in very close proximity to our home and Zeff went over both the pros and cons of removal of the tree. After our initial meeting, he promptly delivered me a favorable quote to remove the tree, complete with copies of current license and insurance information. His price included complete removal of tree, stump and all debris. On the agreed upon day, Zefferino and his crew and equipment arrived early and started work promptly. It was evident that each member of his crew was well trained and knew the plan of the day. They set the crane in place and removed the tree and all the debris in a little over four hours. All of my neighbors quietly watched and later commented on how they were amazed at the efficiency of the tree crew. After the tree was gone, Zefferino ground the stump and roots up himself. His cleanup crew came in and removed stump shavings and dressed the yard up. The job was done to my complete satisfaction and without one single failure or interruption.The successful accomplishment of such a large job in a confined area in the routine manner in which it was performed, is a testament to the experience and knowledge of those performing the task. I will highly recommend BIGGZ tree service to anyone with any tree issues. They are the best I've ever dealt with.

Zefferino is friendly and efficient. I heard from him quickly after submitting a request for a quote via the Biggz website. He arrived on time to look at the tree and described in detail what action he would take to improve its health. The scope of the work he suggested was larger than another quote I received, yet the cost was $300 less, so I arranged to have his company complete the job. I was impressed with how quickly and cleanly the Biggz crew worked. Numerous limbs were removed and mulched without a trace left behind. I would not hesitate to use Biggz again!

Best tree service we have ever had for our oak tree, after not so good experiences with two other companies in years past. Very professional, very clear on what would be cut and why, at our request was there on the job when tree was cut, prompt, cleared debris quickly. Everything one would want/need in an excellent tree service. After the last two companies, we are so happy with our tree because it is now and will be a beautiful tree for many many years.

Biggz was great. After I completed the form on their web site describing the work to be done, Zefferino emailed me to set up a time to come by and give me an estimate. He was on time and gave me some very helpful recommendations. It was clear that he's a very knowledgeable arborist. Two days later he emailed me the estimate and once I accepted, we set up a time for the work to be performed. Again, he was right on time and got to work removing the tree and grinding the stump. Once that was complete, his crew showed up 20 minutes later to dispose of the tree and clean up the yard. This company was great to work with. Zefferino kept in contact with me via email, letting me know what was going on. And everyone showed up where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there.

It went great. Did not have to worry about a thing and one of the best things was the owner came by in the morning and made sure everything got started well and then when the job was finished he came back to have a look. He did not want any money until job was completed to my satisfaction.

I had recently joined Angie's List and Biggz Tree Service had very good reviews, plus there was a discount offer for contacting them from Angie's List. A year before, I had used a different tree service and it took me a month to get them to remove the debris so I was leary of going with someone I did not know. Zefferino was very enjoyable to work with, even with 2 days of rain delays. He came in with a crane to make the removal easier and his crew had all 3 trees down before lunch time. His crew ground up all of the smaller branches, etc so they were out of the way and they continually kept the area cleaned up. The larger parts of the tree were hauled away by 2 pm and the oak tree stump was ground up and most of the material hauled away with the larger pieces. The whole area was policed up and clean before they left and Zefferino followed up the next day to make sure everything was satisfactory. Very good overall experience! I will definitely use him again in the future!

Extremely responsive and professional. Owner went out of the way to keep me informed and in the loop throughout the entire project. The crew that performed the pruning was very courteous and professional. It was a real pleasure working with this company. The entire process was smooth and painless, and they offer competitive pricing to boot!

Needed 3 mature live oak trees trimmed of low branches to accomodate a wedding tent. BiggZ did an absolutely perfect job very quickly after estimate. Trees trimmed to perfection. Workers courteous and efficient. Cleaned up and disposed of branches to my satisfaction. Could not have asked for a better experience.

I don't have a glowing recommendation or an axe to grind. Owner was prompt and courteous and thorough (sent proof of insurance and recs quickly by email). Just that his estimate was 10-20% higher than estimate from another pro and over 30% higher than another (and about twice as much as a cheap CL guy--granted he most probably wasn't licensed or insured, but anyway).

This was the second time I have used BIGGZ. As before Zeff and his team did an excellent job and things were handled in a very professional manner. If I ever need tree service again, they'll be the first ones I call!

Biggz part of the job went great. Entergy's contractor had to be called back several times to get it right.

We initially contracted with BiggZ, owned by Zefferino, to clear approximately 200' of fence line filled with bushes, scrub trees, bamboo, and ivy, as well as to grind large stumps. Zefferino was prompt and professional in providing quotes and services. He broke his quote down into separate areas of service so we could choose the tasks that fit into our budget. After the services were complete and the ground settled, we noticed some large roots remaining. Zeff promptly sent someone out to perform additional grinding. After Hurricane Isaac hit we lost our fence and needed to have a 60' water oak removed which was overhanging our roof. Again, Zeff's quote was reasonable, considering he had to bring in large equipment to access the tree. The tree and debris were removed, and the stump was ground within one day. Zeff and the BiggZ crew were professional and prompt. We intend to utilize their services again in the future.

Mr Z came out and met me about taking down approximately 30 pine trees as scheduled. He was extremely courteous and professional during our meeting and was very knowledgable. If his estimate is within my budget I will DEFINATELY do business with him.

Mr Zeff came out for initial meeting to discuss parameters of tree cutting, thinning, etc. He put me on the schedule for approx 2 weeks, but had an earlier opening, and sent his crew out after getting my permission. The crew worked very hard in cutting a smaller tree down, and thinning a huge Live Oak in my back yard. They also cleaned some overgrown brush from my back fence. I have only been in this house 1 month, and it was a bit overgrown from being empty so long. They were careful, and did clean up the limbs as they came down. The crew was very coureous .Mr Zeff came back the next day after to job was completed, to review the results. I then met with him to discuss results, and he even volunteered some information on some trees I had questions about that were not part of the original contract.I actually have him on my calendar for the fall for more tree trimming. I was pleased with the timeline of the job, the fact that the crew cleaned up the limbs by grinding them, took the time to put cover down on the yard for the big bucket truck, and with their work ethics overall.I would recommend him to anyone that needed tree work. He is a professional, as is his team.een

Zeff and his team were again able to schedule the work on a day that my husband could be on-site. They called prior to arrival to give an estimated time and showed up as stated (a really big plus in my book!!!). Zeff has the proper equipment (bucket lift, pads for the truck to protect your lawn, etc) to perform the work and a great crew. They took care of the oak, two magnolias and five stumps. They also cut down a "volunteer" oak or pecan tree that had begun growing inside of my large azalea. The trees have never looked better in the seven years I have lived in this home. The oak's canopy has been raised so that it is no where near the utility lines, my neighbor's home, my home or my storage shed. They disposed of the debris and left the yard in perfect shape. They also provided (and placed) wood chips from the debris to cover the roots of the oak to protect them from further damage from the lawn mower as Zeff suggested. This was about a half day's work for Zeff and his crew and included debris removal which A LOT of tree services do not provide. I feel is was a very professional job at a fair price.

Zefferino was prompt, polite and professional. I acquired estimates from 2 sources - his was 36% lower than that of his competitor. Work began on schedule, went very smoothly, and was done within a few hours. Biggz made arrangements with my neighbor to have access through his yard. When the job was finished, all debris had been removed from both yards and you could hardly tell they had been here - amazing! As promised, he returned within a couple of days and ground the stump. He even returned at a later date to grind the stump further, at no additional cost. I have nothing negative to report. This was a totally positive experience for me, and I will not hesitate to call on Biggz Tree Care again in the future.

One of the best experiences with a company in a long time. The owner (Zefferino) called me within 24 hours (of my Angie's request) and made an appointment to come over and review my needs. I had a detailed estimate in another 24 hours. Additionally, they were able to solve a problem that I had not expected they could help with. They added an estimate for a french drain to the side of the house. We had lots of weather (rain and wind) during our scheduled times to do the work. Each time the owner called and we discussed the weather and made adjustments. You don't want to put tree surgeons in a bucket during rain and lightning and wind!Finally the weather cleared up and we scheduled a time. The entire crew arrived on time with the various equipment. All work was done very professionally and quickly. The branches were cut and lowered down with ropes and then mulched on site. all small branches were raked and the yard was cleared. The air spade cleared the trench for the french drain without hurting the root systems at all. Pea gravel was placed in. The french drain is now keeping water away from our home during heavy rains. We are thrilled. When I went to settle up with the owner, he said how the time was a little less that he had estimated and lowered our price. Yes, let me restate that: he lowered our price. This is a superb company. Ethical, professional, thorough and very polite. Its nice to like your contractors. I cannot wait to recommend them to anyone who needs a great arborist. I cannot wait to hire them again when the time comes I need them. Thank you Angie's List and thank you Zefferino!

I gave Zefferino a call and he came out to take a look at the work that needed to be done (taking one large water oak down and trimming a second large water oak) on Friday June 22nd. He e-mailed a copy of the estimate by Saturday evening which included a copy of of his licence, insurance as well as references. We called him on Monday June 25th of the next week and the work commenced on June 28th. Zeff and his crew are very professional and reliable. He keeps in touch with you during the work to keep you updated in case of a delay (such as debris removal) and lets you know when it will be picked up and after the work is completed to make sure that you are completely satisfied. I really appreciated this courtesy. I will definately be using Zefferino and his crew again and will recommend them to my family, friends and anyone I know that needs Tree service!
