Biggz came out promptly on the day of the work and the owner arrived shortly after the work crew, walked them through all the work and made sure I knew which member of the crew to talk with if I had any questions. Biggz arrived with a large crew and several pieces of machinery and very quickly and efficiently pruned the tree. I was impressed with their work.

Awesome! I called 4 tree companies. I responded but could not come out until next week. Matt Garcia responded to my call within 15 minutes and was at the house 30 minutes later. He was able to remove the limb, haul it to the front yard had it chipped. This company will be my "go to" tree company from now on!

They trimmed it perfectly cleaning as they worked. We asked for some additional work when they finished and they can did that perfectly. I highly recommend.

The crew showed up on time and got right to work. They completed all the work faster than expected. I would definitely hire this company again.

They would not come to Walker to give an estimate. It was to far and they had no work in the area. Tried to give another service but didn't need them to refer another service. Will not ever call them again.

Everything went great; communication in advance was done properly to avoid issues with scheduling multiple parties (situation with tree sitting on multiple lots), and removal was extremely quick/professional. They were also very prompt in communicating quotes in advance, information on what was needed, etc. Would highly recommend for any sort of tree service.

This was my second time using Biggz. I requested an estimate and was called very quickly. We scheduled an appointment for them to look at the work that was being requested. After we met, I later received an email with a link to the estimate. I asked for a modification to the requested work and was provided a new estimate. I was able to approve the estimate online. They said they'd call when they had a date available. The 2016 flood occurred after that, but they called within just a couple of weeks with no real delay. They set a date and I took off work for a couple of hours to meet them just b/c I wanted to be there. They were quick and left everything neat. My only negative is there were chunks of tree that I'm assuming were from the stump grinding, that went into my flower bed on the side of the house. Overall, I'm happy with the professional way they handle their business. I would recommend them.

The work was done in a workmanship manner with good communication between Zeff, his two lead supervisors and myself. The cleanup was noticeably better than the last time I used him in 2013. This time, they brought rakes and blowers. I found some minor shrub damage and a few small branches on the ground and in surrounding shrubs that their cleanup missed. But this was acceptable considering the amount of work that was accomplished and the extent of our landscaping which surrounded all of the trees in question. The only minor complaint was that he had to delay our work due to rain outs. But that also was acceptable.

I couldn't ask for better results. I was kept up to date on when they were coming out, exactly what they were going to do and how. I received a follow up call after the job was complete just to make sure I was satisfied. And I was. Will recommend them always.

Positive experience all the way through. The office staff returned my call on the same day and promptly scheduled an appointment. The provider arrived on time and was very thorough in his inspection of my tree and potential causes for the stress. He gave me his recommendation on ways to improve the health of the tree, although that did not include work for him at this time.

Z is very responsive and willing to discuss the job and answer any questions. The job was done quickly and professionally. There was an incident resulting in the breaking of a branch of a young fruit tree. Z came out immediately to inspect the tree and reassure me that everything was ok (the tree fruited and did great). The new tree looks great and bloomed beautifully. I had some questions about the health of the tree a few months after the job was complete and he came out to look at it and discuss it with me. I really appreciate the degree of customer service Z and the company provide.

They called and confirmed they would be here around 6:45 A.M. the day before they arrived. The crew showed up at about 6:50. Usually when contract work is being done, the workers will wait around for the guy in charge to give directions. Not this crew. They had a plan and put it into action. A few guys started throwing lines/ropes, another started gearing up, everyone else started prepping the equipment. The worker in charge came and introduced himself to me, then by 7:10 they were up the tree and cutting. I also pointed out where I had done some plumbing work in the back yard, and the crew was very respectful to watch their step where I had the work done. Shortly after work began, the owner showed up to give me a run down on what was going to happen throughout the job, from beginning to end. I walked around from time to time to watch, and the workers didn't mind at all. I even asked if I could keep a stump for myself, and they cut it to size and set it to the side for me. About the time they started grinding the base of the tree the assistant to the owner showed up to check on the job, and spoke with me for a few minutes. I would like to say both he and the owner were very receptive to all of my questions. By 11:15 the job was done, the mulch was spread around the area evenly, debris was removed, and they were packing up and leaving the neighborhood.

I was concerned that a tree in my yard might be too close to the house and may need to be removed, although I preferred to keep the tree. I left an email request for a consultation late one afternoon and received a call back the next morning. An appointment was made for the consultation at a time convenient to me, and a very nice gentleman arrived promptly. While he could have told me that of course, the tree needed to be removed, he did not. The tree is healthy and is not a threat to the house, so no action is needed. He could not have been nicer and did not charge me for the consultation. The reason I called Biggz was that I know they do good work. They had removed some trees in my mother's yard several years ago, and did an excellent job. They were prompt, courteous, professional and very reasonably priced. And they did not leave the yard in a mess. I will certainly call them again if I need a tree service.

The tree removal itself was excellent with everyone showing up on time on the day scheduled. Workers were courteous and efficient. The work was performed with a crane over the top of my house and without any damage to the roof or nearby wires. They did good work, but... However, we had agreed that they would return to do two things: 1) fill hole the fallen tree made in the limestone driveway and 2) grind the stump at a discount because I was flexible on timing. 1) after several calls, they never filled the hole but agreed to pay me for filling. I bought limestone at home depot and filled the hole myself many weeks later. I sent the amount to him, not charging for labor, they never repaid me for the limestone as agreed. 2) after tons of calls and now over 6 months later, they never returned to grind the stump. So they get good ratings on price, quality, and punctuality as far as the tree was concerned but bad ratings on professionalism and responsiveness on finishing the work. Unfortunate. UPDATE: 1/22/16 How people respond to criticism is also important. In this case, Biggz responded immediately and resolved everything, both reimbursing me for the limestone and coming out to grind the stump. Sometimes things get lost in the shuffle and I think it?s only appropriate to give them the benefit of the doubt. I?ve bumped up the two lower scores by a notch to average the response with the initial issue. And since I do believe this isn?t something they would let happen again, I?ve updated to ?would use them again. Thank you for resolving everything in a professional manner.

When we discovered a huge oak tree about to fall into our neighbor's yard, we contacted Zefferino ("Zeff") von Kurnatowski of BIGGZ Tree Service in Baton Rouge, LA.. Having used him before, we knew the high standards he had for his business, therefore, we did not hesitate to call him about this job. As always, he was prompt to respond to our call, came out to give us an estimate within 24 hours, and scheduled the tree removal service. Zeff is highly professional and has top notch equipment. He is an effective communicator, not only to us, but also to his team of hard-working men, who know what they are doing...plus some. The job had to be postponed due to weather, but Zeff kept us posted as to when the job could be safely re-scheduled. We trust his outstanding judgment and the strong business work ethic that he possesses. BIGGZ, is a Louisiana company and Zeff is a Licensed Arborist. Many out of state tree companies actively solicit homeowners, especially after hurricanes or storms, and try to undercut the local tree service companies like BIGGZ. These companies give no guarantees, don't have the credentials, their equipment is beyond shabby, and their end product is very amateurish, lacking quality. On the day of service, a crew arrived on time, ready to work, with crane, excavator & shredder in tow. The job took about 3.5 hours. The site where the tree has been was cleaned up and all debris contained. We have used BIGGZ before; we will use him again & again.

Had Biggz Tree Care do some tree work (thin out the canopy and remove some dead branches on very large trees) in October 2015. Very happy with Zefferino and his crew. Zefferino was very quick to respond to my request for a quote and answered all of my questions regarding the health of my trees, how best to thin out the canopy to increase sunlight to my property without damaging the integrate of my large trees, and suggesting different options to keep costs within my budget. The day of the work, his crew was very efficient and made sure to clean-up all of their work - I actually had them chip the wood on-site and then leave the woodchips for me to use in my garden beds. Zefferino was not on-site during the work (he arrived with his crew, walked through the work to be done with his staff, answered all of my questions and then had to leave), but he made sure to call me that evening to make sure that the work was completed to my satisfaction. I received quotes for a few other tree companies and Biggz Tree Care's price was competitive with the others. I would highly recommend.

"Zeff" came out within 24 hours to give us a quote, which was most reasonable. His office then scheduled the work to be performed. His workers were in place early and ready to work. The team of men was incredibly efficient and friendly. Although watching the tree climber made me hold my breath, he proceeded very carefully and was diligent not to fell the branches in the way of any other existing structures. Once completed, they brought in the "tree eater" and ground up all the branches. The men then blew all the tree debris, saw dust, etc. from the yard and the driveway. Most importantly, the tree trimming was done aesthetically, by a team of highly professional men, under the direction of Zefferino von Kurnatowksi, Biggz owner. We have used Biggz before and we'll use Biggz again....and again.

Zefferino and his crew arrived at the appointed time to begin the job. It was amazing to watch as the crew worked, climbing the trees to prune dead limbs and remove other limbs, large and small, in order to improve wind flow. They also removed two oak trees in the back yard. The back yard was so shady that grass could not grow in several places, and there are large bare spots that turn muddy when it rains. Sunlight can get through to the ground now, and I look forward to seeing grass in those spots. The job was finished in under five hours. I was very impressed with the efficiency and team work performed by the crew. During the job two huge piles of tree trunks and limbs were stacked near the road and were removed a few hours later. At the end of the day, everything was back to normal. I am a happy camper. Thank you, Zefferino and crew!

Zefferino and his crew exceeded my expectations. They showed up bright and early when they said they would, and completed the task in the most efficient and perfessional manner I have ever seen. As I told Zefferino which limbs I wanted cut, he'd shine his laser on the particular limbs and within seconds his crew was cutting them down. Talk about real time. They used a grinder to breakdown the limbs to haul off, and even blew off my lawn for me. As a result, what a transformation it made to my yard. They may not be the least cost, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely use Zefferino and his crew again. Thanks

Owner was very professional and prompt in providing estimate. Definitely the best price for the best work. Had to wait a few weeks for service but showed up on schedule. Crane truck was used, and service was completed in only a few hours. Did a great job of clean-up. However, the wood chips left was a large volume. We had to hire someone to bag the chips and remove. The tree employees moved very large plants in containers in order to work but did not return them to same place when job was finished. I cannot pick them up but can probably get a neighbor to help. Would use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing this service.
