Went very well.

It went as fantastic as usual. The work was prompt, friendly and although it took them most of the day, they never lost their sense of humor or failed to converse with us. The owner is always super-friendly and super-efficient. His head worker, who has installed toilets for us before, is absolutely top notch. They both know the business well and do it well.

They were very professional on the phone and when they came to perform the service. They called to confirm we were here beforehand. They had everything they needed, cleaned up when finished. Everything was excellent.

I had other plumbing companies attempt this for over 11 years and NO one ever got it right or attempted to get it right. I found this company on Angie's list and so far, I am just delighted to finally have the thing done correctly. If it ever leaks again - I'll let you know.

Great. Had hired another plumber to install tub and faucet. He informed that he would come back to install trim after tile surround had been installed. We repeatedly attempted to contact him to fulfill his committment, with no success. Contacted Pierre, explained the situation, and he arrived to our home and completed the task for a very reasonable cost--and very quickly. I was impressed that he was so prompt and willing to take such a small job.

Pierre, a co-owner and employee, arrived at the time he had stated that he would. His appearance, demeanor and job performance were very professional. He had to climb on the roof to enter the drain via the vent pipe and was prepared to do so.

Our main water pipe was leaking near the water meter. I called A and W and within an hour someone called back to schedule a visit. The serviceman showed up at exactly the time set and took 3 hours to complete the work taking care with the roots of our huge live oak tree, as requested.

The assistant came out exactly when scheduled. When he arrived, he looked at the job and not only said he'd replace the old valve mechanism, but would also raise it up from the ground so it would be easier to use and stood less chance of rusting. He'd also replace the hose bib (the thing you can screw the hose to) that was there with a new one. I agreed to the work. I also asked him if he could look at another hose bib on the outside of the house. Which he agreed to. The old wheel type handle was loose. He got a screwdriver to see if it just needed to be tightened. That did not solve the problem. He said he could also replace that one for another $10.00 as he would already have his blowtorch out. I agreed. He started looking for a second new hose bib in his parts bin, but didn't have one. I thought I might have one and asked if he'd put one on if I supplied the part. That wasn't a problem but I didn't have one. He told me he could put on an extension and cap it, which would allow me to get one soon and just screw it in place. I agreed to that. When I came outside an hour later, hearing water running which meant he was finished, he not only had done a great job with the outside shut-off, but, he'd also found a second new hose bib and installed that on the other outside pipe. He used the same sort of extension in both places and if the hose bib stops working for some reason, we'll easily be able to screw in a new one. All we'll need is Teflon tape. Another company told me it would cost more, take an hour and a half, just for the one thing, with no mention of replacing the hose bib at the shut-off site, and would take two guys. Kern did that and more in just about an hour, including talking with me about the job. I've already recommended A and W Plumbing to several people and am calling them back this morning to get something else done. These folks are good and having a good plumber is hard to find.

Aand W came out on time for the estimate. New line was installed as quoted. Aand W was very professional.

Pierre called back soon after I left a message that we needed a new fill valve (I had worked as a plumber in the past and had diagnosed the problem, but can't do the work anymore), and was able to come a day later. He made the appointment for 7:30 a.m. and at 7:31 called and said he was in the neighborhood and would be arriving shortly and did. He was friendly, greeted me and my very sweet and effusive lab. Pierre was well dressed (NOT in the typical plumber's garb of a ratty company shirt, dirty jeans) and ready to go to work. I explained the problem, he looked at the fill valve, chuckled at its type, and got right to work. It took all of 7-8 minutes to remove and replace the valve, then he turned on the water, flushed the toilet twice, once with a wad of toilet paper to be sure, and the job was done. No water on the floor and no other evidence that he'd been there. He charged me for the fill valve and labor;l not cheap, but fair. We would use Pierre again, without hesitation.

The young plumber's helper was punctual and friendly. He tried to take off the fixtures, but they were stuck and he had to remove them by force whereby the rings broke (not his fault). After one hour he left to find replacement fixtures. The Boss himself returned after 2 hrs to finish the Job. He stopped the leak, replaced the fixtures with the new ones, was able to use the old faucet, which was still in fair shape. Cleaned up the work site.

They were very courteous and professional and quickly found and solved the problem after my description of which drains were clogged. They made the service call the morning after I called them. I will call them again next time I have a problem.
