+ -1 moreTerminix took over from the company that I originally signed with. I haven’t really gone out there to watch what they do, but they spray the outside of the house. They said that if I have any problems, they can spray inside. The first company did spray inside to begin with. I just like the fact that I haven’t had any bug problems. They do a pretty good job. I haven’t had to call them back and I haven’t had any problems.
Description of Work: I use Terminix and they come out every month or 2 months.

+ -1 moreThey have been coming out for at least 5 years or probably more. One of the service techs has been extraordinarily nice. We don't have contact with these people normally, but he has just been extremely pleasant. They come, they do their work, and they leave. They don't make a mess. As far as I know, I don't have any termites. It might be quarterly on the termites. I am not really sure. If some sort of bug shows up, I can call them and they come out and fix it. I don't know what the special deal is. For the regular termite service it is about $360.00 a year. They are effective. They are pleasant.
Description of Work: Terminix comes out to our home for pest control. They came out within the last two weeks because I saw some ants and I called them. They are located in Sterling, Virginia.

+ -1 moreThey are good. I did have a sun room added to my home. This covered up a number of bait stations. They should have known about this and put more out for me. That was some time ago, and I have had no other problems with them.
Description of Work: I have the termite bate stations around my home. They installed those and they come and check on them about 3 times a year. They will also at times come out and take care of ant infestations in the spring time. The price is per year.

However, I don?t like the fact that I haven?t had a good experience with their customer service. I wouldn?t use their services again. I have called two other companies to get other prices to see how I can switch from Terminix.

+ -1 moreI’ve had no problems with them. I have only used their service and so I don’t have anything to compare it to. They are punctual. They are normally here by 8 o’clock in the morning. I would use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Terminix – Landover for pest control. I last used their services about a month ago. We have a contract with them. So they just come out and do routine inspection. Once a year they do termite inspection. They come out on and off for routine pest control where they spray inside and outside the house.

+ -1 moreThey did come when they said they would and did not come, so we cancelled the contract with them. They were not responsive. We got a bill, but we did not pay it because they did not come. They said they were coming, but they did not and it was a year ago. We actually wrote a letter to them saying why we were not renewing the contract and that we were still waiting on the last visit. We never heard from them and they also called us and said that the guy was on his way, but he never showed up. We would not use them.
Description of Work: We took an annual contract with Terminix last March where they would come out yearly and check for termites. They were supposed to come in January.

+ -1 moreThey normally do pest control, termite control is extra. They are really easy to get. I haven't had any problems with the bugs since I started using them. I would keep using them in the future.

+ -1 moreI've had no problems with them. They've been great. I have a service contract. They come out 4 or 5 times a year. They are good at explaining and are knowledgeable about it. They are very punctual. The guy who comes is very nice. I think he's been here a couple of times. He has always been very courteous and he's very excited about his job. He explains it all. I would continue to use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used the services of Terminix International Co on the 12th of April. I had some ant problems and they came out and fixed it. They sprayed for ants inside and out.

+ -1 moreStruggled with getting company to keep appointments. Many times they came out and didn't have the right equipment. Administration was not very helpful. There service is absolutely terrible. They say that they guarantee there work but when I raised a complaint they didn't do anything about it. Didn't show up on time. Often put toxic chemicals down that were not requested. They ignored the problem that was requested to get fixed.

+ -1 moreThey used to spray inside but I didn't like that. They charge $90 a visit and you get a ten percent discount if you pay once a year. I am thinking about switching to something more environmentally friendly because I think the stuff they use is pretty toxic. I didn't like the stuff getting all through my house. We have huge problems with huge water bugs. I would like a less toxic product and I could live with a few water bugs.

+ -1 moreI have had terrible service from them. They have been charging me for service I never received. I am currently in dispute with this company. They say the will call back and never do. I have asked for an invoice for a service charge from February. I have spoken with the same manager five or six times. I have also spoken with customer service. No one has ever called me back. I have also had issues with their ongoing service. I have had multiple problems. They automatically bill you for service when you are under the maintenance agreement. I think what happened is I was billed but they did not come out to perform the service. They have still not produced the invoice.
Description of Work: I had service agreement for one year. The next year I went month to month.

+ -1 moreWe had been customers for approximately five years and in that time, we have had to spend incredible amounts of time and money getting the managers and technicians at this branch to honor their service contract. We were talked into the termite protection plan with scare tactics that there were signs of Termites. Subsequently, when our property was under contract with Terminix, gaithersburg branch, whenever we pointed out what looked like neglect of a termite infestation, we were given excuses as to why it had not been properly treated. We purchased a pest control problem given the myriad of pests that Terminix salespeople promised to provide protection against. The manager, Rob Ashworth is unresponsive and his thug manager nickels and dimes customers out of necessary visits or treatments even though this is guaranteed in the customer contract. All of the management's focus is on getting the money. There is no customer service or any service from this company subsequently. Once visits are scheduled, so called technicians are sent out outside of the service window times and randomly treat problems that don't need treating but do not address the requests that are made. Many of the "technicians" are poorly trained and clueless about the pest or the damage being done to our property. Often, the service technicians will not be properly equipped to treat the problem and so the homeowner has to spend several days awaiting their appointment that should have been addressed in a single visit. Typically, the technicians bad mouth each other and give completely contradictory "diagnoses" of what the pest problem is. Two technicians out of this office will have completely different training and ability to treat the problem adequately. The behavior of the branch manager and his deputies is atrocious and rude! The receptionist has only one word for customers and that is "NO!" . There is horrendous miscommunication and confusion among the employees and this is transferre to customers unfortunate enough to have to deal with this branch of terminix. Naturally, there is a high turnover of staff at this branch so it is near impossible to maintain any continuity of services. I would not sign up with them ever again and feel they should reimburse us for all the poor service, hours and hours of missed appointments, wasted appointments and mishandling of our pest control needs. Getting through to the national headquarters is a nightmare and regional manager does not allow the customer to locate him. The company does not treat its customers right.

The local gaithersburg office refused to correct this problem and we had to write several letters to the national office proving that we were fully paid up. I would not sign up with them ever again and feel they should reimburse us for all the poor service, hours and hours of missed appointments, wasted appointments and mishandling of our pest control needs. Getting through to the national headquarters is a nightmare and regional manager does not allow the customer to locate him. The company does not treat its customers right.

+ -1 moreWhen I moved, I transferred their service to my current location. The guy that they sent was very nice. Even though, there are times when there is trouble with communication, but it doesn?t involve the guy who comes out. He is really good. Sometimes, it is difficult to get connected and get the service provided by them. I am on a yearly plan with them. This is my second year with them. They treat for ants and do an overall check. The only problem is scheduling with them. Five months ago, they did termite treatment. Two other guys came out to do that work. They were good. The guy, who comes out all the time, is just excellent. He is punctual and professional. I will continue to use this company in the future.
