They came when they said they would, did not leave any mess and did a very good job.

When we got the estimate we were about to go on vacation; Doug recommended we shut off our ice maker & turn off the main water before we left in case a pipe burst. Was very thoughtful & I appreciated the recommendation - had never thought about that. When I returned, there was some confusion about the original estimate but we agreed to what I feel was a reasonable price. I'll emphasize we were not arguing over price, & I was happy with what we decided on. In terms of servicing the work, the guys were entertaining to hang around & completed the job much faster than I expected. So far, happy with the quality as well. They do standby a 30 day warranty of their labor, which is comforting in case something comes up after they leave.

As our house is under a home warranty, Old Republic Home Protection Company, connected us with Durbin Plumbing. Doug Durbin was polite and responsive. He diagnosed and fixed the issue in no time.

Durbin came when they said they would, the same day I called. Tommy was extremely friendly and professional. He quickly diagnosed my problems and fixed them on the spot. He did a great job! Update: I initially wrote a good review for this company because I feared for my safety. But, having thought about it, I can't, in good conscience, allow Durbin Plumbing to continue their poor treatment of customers. The main problem that I had with Durbin was not with the cost of the plumbing repairs to my house, although they were, in my estimation, too high or their service (Tommy did a great job!). The problem was the way in which the owner, Doug Durbin, talked to me on the phone. He was obviously upset by the fact that I felt he was overcharging me. So, he talked to me in a condescending tone--as a father would talk to his teenage son--and yelled at me in such a way that I feared for my safety and the safety of my family. In the end, I was in such fear that, even though he told me I could pay what I thought was fair, I paid him his second offer, which was higher. Update: Let me begin by saying that I have no desire to destroy anyone's business. My desire is to use the only means given to me as a customer to tell people of my experience. Of course, the way Durbin treated me may never have happened before and may never happen again. I admire the fact, moreover, that Durbin has been serving Kentuckiana faithfully for over 12 years, offering good customer service. Sadly, however, this was not the case in this particular instance. I would love nothing more than for Durbin to continue offering quality work, at a fair price, with good customer service. Having said that, let me clarify a few things: (1) No apology was given; (2) I initially wrote a good review on Angie's list because I said I would but, after thinking about it, felt like I did the cowardly thing. I simply wanted to let Angie's List customers know what actually happened. In addition, I gave Durbin high marks for those things that I thought they did well; (3) The amount I was asked to pay was $220. I offered to pay $150. When I offered $150, Tommy countered with $180. When I said that I felt $150 was a fair price (Tommy was at my house for 1 1/2 hrs, which comes to $100/hr for the time he was at my house), he told me that he would talk to his boss, Doug; (4) During the course of my conversation with Doug, I told him that if he would lower his price to $150, I would write him a good review on Angie's List, which would generate him more money in the long run. He took offense to this and responded by repeating the following: "That's an expensive review, Chris! Why don't I write a review of you, Chris!" Soon after this, he quickly told me that I could just pay him the $150, and he hung up the phone. I paid $180 for the job.

Excellent service, the entire project was completed the same day of the consultation. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

He came on time and fixed it. I called one day and he came the next day. I liked the fact that they're not real big and they responded right away.

The workers from Durbin Plumbing Inc. Company were very professional. They were very prompt. They gave a call ahead and they were here first thing in the morning. I was having some difficulties getting the log to relight in the afternoon after they left. So I called them about it and the owner of the company actually came by. He was closer to the area so he himself stopped by and showed me what I was doing wrong. It was an operational error. It was pretty nice of him to come rather than have me wait until his workers were available. That impressed me the most. It is pretty rare to find that kind of service. Their price was competitive. They were the lowest of the companies that I checked with. I would use them again in the future.

Our drain was clogged. The plumber came out and recommended that we call the city to have them inspect the line on their side (no charge for that visit). The city came out and cleaned out a couple of the clogs, but their were more on our side (lots of roots in the line). The plumber came back out and cleaned the line - then came back to make sure the work was done. We also had them come back to put a treatment in the line to help prevent the roots from growing back. So far it's worked great! Will definitely use this plumber again. Thanks Angie's List for your recommendation!

It was very good. I had gotten a quote from them and a couple of other plumbing companies. They were very prompt and did everything very well. When I had a problem later that day the owner actually came out and fixed the issue so I was very happy with them. The gas logs weren't lighting and it turned out it was my problem because I was trying to follow the instructions in the manual and it wasn't exactly what I needed to do. It was my issue but they came back out and took care of it. They were very nice and it was really my issue. Their price was the lowest that I got so it was very competitive.

Their pricing stood out to me. They were much lower than anyone elses quote. They were very polite on the phone. They always answered when I called. They worked with us on a date. They were a little sloppy with their work. They burnt the drywall when they saudered the price. We weren't too happy with that. The business side was handled nicely.

I have used Durbin Plumbing ever since coming to Louisville 3 years ago. They are always on time, professional and extremely helpful. I've had them do several jobs for me and I have always been pleased with the cost and the service.

They were prompt and responded the same day that the call from the home warranty company was issued. The technician was on time if not early. The whole procedure was less than 30 minutes of my time. The stem was replaced in one bath and was repaired in the other bath. The handles were a bit tight to turn off and on so I called them back within a couple of weeks and they loosened the handles to my satisfaction without any additional charge or copay from me.
