They did a great job and it turned out fine! They did exactly what I asked for; but I had to pay a little extra because my driveway was so long (I knew that because it was clearly spelled out in the deal).

The only story I have to tell is: They arrived on time, the job was done and I have now problem with the work. I did recommend this company and they did get the job.

Down To Earth was a nice guy and everything and as far as the cover on the driveway it looks fine. We will just have to wait and see over time if the repairs he did worked. I have had no problems with his service. The people who work for him are nice, cooperative, and did a decent job.

The deal I bought was for asphalt driveway sealing only ($99 with an original value that I can't remember - atleast $125). After purchasing the deal, I called to ask them to come by and give an estimate for some repair work as well (filling of major cracks and pot holes). I scheduled a day for them to do the job and the receptionist said they would come out before then to do the estimate. One day before the job was scheduled, I called because I had not heard from them about the estimate. The owner said that he had not done the estimate yet and that he wasn't coming to do the scheduled job due to bad weather (which never happened). No one called to tell me this. I only found out when I called them. He came by another day and left an estimate for the work, $499 with a $99 "credit" for the deal. It took 2 more attempts to schedule before they actually came to do the work. They cancelled the next appointment I made due to bad weather that they said would be coming - but never did, again. Ironically, when they finally did come to do the work on the day that I let them pick, it rained that night and for 3 days straight. The repair work did not solidify, so we called them back to fix it. (We could move the patches with our feet/vehicles a week after they were supposed to be cured). We called the owner and he said that the work could have been done one or two different ways and that they should have done the other. They came back out to redo the spots that we requested. Even now, the spots that they repaired again have gravel coming out of them and will have to be fixed again next year. The seal job was fine overall, however, they were not neat with their work. There are seal splashes on some decorative stones in my garden as well as a 6 inch swipe about 2 feet up my neighbor's fence. I also feel that the full value of the seal job should have been included in my estimate, rather than a $99 credit. I will not be hiring this company again.

Had two coats of sealer applied due to age and condition of driveway. Have used their service before and it holds up for at least two years.

I originally called the company in March after seeing their sign in front of a recently sealed driveway. They came out the next day and quoted me several options. They highly recommended a 2 day job using crack filler and 2 seal coats, but they also quoted me just using 1 coat of sealant. I agreed with their assessment that the driveway needed the crack filler and 2 coats of sealant, but I chose to just do 1 coat of sealant due to cost. The cost for the 2 day job was still very reasonable just more than I wanted to spend on the driveway this year. They called me when they arrived at the home and were waiting on me when I got there about 45 minutes later, finished with the job. They did a good job getting a lot of sealant in the cracks, trimmed the grass along the driveway and only had a minimal amount of sealant on some of the grass. I can not evaluate the long term performance of their product on my driveway as of yet, but the other driveways they coated in my neighborhood over the last 6 months look very good.

They were fine. He came by and gave us an estimate. He was prompt. He wrote 2 heavy coats required which I didn’t disagree with it at all because I think the people we had to put the asphalt done did not use very good asphalt and it was cracking after just a couple of years and was pretty bad. They came and did the coating in one day. They did one coat and then they came back several hours later and did the second coat. They did a good job. I was pleased. There are fine cracks. I don’t feel like the problem is due to the coating. I feel it is the cheap job of the first place. I wish I had Angie’s list in the first place. To me the price felt a little expensive but I tend to think that about everything. They did put quite a good amount of coating on our driveway so I think it was probably reasonably priced. I don’t have anything to compare it with. They were good. I am considering having them come back later on this year and put another coat on.

We tried several contractor to seal our old drive. it lasted weeks. Down to Earth dropped a note on our mailbox and we called. They came and deliverred as promised!

They coated, with coal-tar sealer, our 80 ft. long driveway (about 870 sq ft) which was 2 yrs. old and had not been previously coated. It was definitely showing dryness and thin cracking. Tim, the owner, stated on his proposal that two heavy coats would be required, and that sounded right to me! They came on a Sunday, which we would not have preferred, but with so much rain during that time, it had to be done whenever possible. They cut the grass away from the edges and blew off the surface, and patched a spot where the asphalt had broken through. They spread out the first coat, then left and came back a couple of hours later and did the second. They said we should wait 48 hrs before driving on it. It looks very good now and we are pleased with the results. The crew of two were courteous and efficient, and left neat baracades across road and sidewalk accesses. The only reason I didn't give them a perfect score is that they didn't arrive until about two hours after we had expected; and being a holiday weekend, we were anxious to know how much longer we might have to wait.

They are very cost effective and do excellent work. They are fair, efficient, professional and friendly. Their work is good and I've been using them for several years now. Their prices are excellent because normally to ceil my driveway it costs me $125 but I hadn't ceiled it for couple of years and so there were some crakes. They checked over real good and did a lot of work on it. They were great.

They came when they said they would and completed the job. They will come out, give you a price, tell you what you can expect for that price and then over-deliver. They do a good job. Excellent value.

They responded to initial call in less than 24 hours and gave me an estimate. I asked them to follow through and put me on the schedule. Since their schedule is determined by weather, the actual work was done about a week to 10 days later when there was no rain in the forecast and the temperature was high enough.

I'VE HAD DRIVEWAY WORK DONE BEFORE AND I'D SEEN SOME WORK THAT HE'D DONE. I WAS OKAY WITH IT. HE DID SOME OTHER WORK FOR ME THAT HE DIDN'T CHARGE ME FOR BUT I DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY HE DID IT. HE PUT SOME MORE ASPHALT DOWN AND IT'S NOT GOING TO STAY BECAUSE IT'S NOT PATTED DOWN. I CAN GO OUT THERE NOW AND IT'S STILL SOFT.
