Description of Work: Adam Wainscott and another man came to the house to discuss a proposal for central air conditioning. They toured the premises, discussed the concerns and possibilities, and left with scale drawings of the house. I've not heard back from them since. This project is not cut-and-dried, and requires some creativity and "thinking outside the box" so I can understand a reluctance to undertake it. It would have been nice, however, if we had been told they don't want the job. |We are currently consulting another firm that has been here four times and plans to return again. They are pulling out all the stops to make sure their proposal is complete and meets our needs. It looks like this other firm is going to be the one that we use for this project.

I am sorry to hear about this. With our company being a 2 man crew we strive to do the best we can. I as the office manager emailed you back along with leaving a voice mail stating we are too small of a company to take on such a unique job. I would have loved to been able to do this job but it just wasn't in the plans for us. Taking on a job like yours would require more man power than we have because we would still need to take care of our other customers. For safety reasons we wouldn't have been able to leave just one technician there doing the work. I thought since I tried to contact two different ways that you received the messages and moved on. I am sorry and should have followed up with another email or phone call. Please know we didn't ignore you or forgot about you. I would like to say good luck to the company who accepts this job. Sometimes being a small company has its perks and sometimes it doesn't. We are able to really get to know our customers rather than it being just about getting the job done and wanting money. A con is not being able to take on every job that comes our way. We have customers that have been with us for 10-15 years. We have installed systems at our customers homes and then their children grow up and we install systems at their homes. Once again I am sorry for the correspondence issue and I hope that company takes great care of you.

Description of Work: My cats had ripped up the duct board ducting in my manufactured home and parts of it had to be replaced. The 1st crew that came did a mediocre job. For one they were not punctual. They called my wife and said they would be there at 9:30; they did not arrive until 11:30. Their excuse was that they were called to a more important job before mine. Well, some common courtesy would be to call and tell of the delay. They patched up the worst region, but did not look at the entire system for the other damage and worst of all they DID NOT come into the house when finished to check the air flow through the ducts. This must have been their worst employees. That night when I got home the house was 81F and there was hardly any cool air coming out the ducts. That's when I went under the house to see the work done. Disappointed I called and left a message. The next morning I got a call and I explained that the guys they sent the first time didn't finish the job. I guess they sent one of their better employees and he finished the job. He also did his job and checked each vent to make sure air was coming out. I give a D for the first crew, but an A to the guy that had to mop up.

Thank you for your response. The first crew that came out was told about the duct problem at the furnace--they had no reason to believe that other pieces of the duct were damaged. Our technicians were going to check the vents but the wife said that the air flow was good inside. In regards to being late--we had other calls ahead of you that were already scheduled and they took longer that expected. However, we do understand that a phone call should have been made so we apologized for that. Its not that the calls ahead of you were any more important than your problem because every call is important just sometimes a job can take 20 minutes and some can take 2 hours unexpectedly. We received your phone call the next morning and made sure you were the first call of the day. We re-worked our schedule to get you taken care of the very next day. July is a very busy month and we have customers who call on a Monday and cant get taken care of until Tuesday afternoon. Thank you for your review--we love hearing from our customers good or bad. We will make sure everything is addressed in our next meeting!

I had them come out to do an estimate and actually got one of the guys doing the work out there to do the estimate. Estimate was lowest amongst the three companies I requested estimates from. Their estimate process was not as thorough as another company I tried. This company only looked in the crawl space and didn't do any interior measurements of the house at all. Fortunately, their recommended sizes for A/C and furnaces were comparable to another company which had measured interiors, so I felt confident enough with it. This company was also about 1500-2000 under the closest estimate from another company. When it came to actual installation there were a few issues. On the plus side, the installation team was on site each of two days on time and did well cleaning up after themselves. On the down side, there were issues they left unresolved which they had to come back and fix later. The first of these was that they partially disconnected one of the return air ducts mid-way down the line when they attached it at the furnace. They also did nothing to reattach some of the supply ducts which only needed a little extra tape to make up for a pre-existing issues with their connection. That wasn't an entirely normal thing they would need to do, but the fact that they didn't do it just leads me to believe they generally do a minimum job instead of spending the extra 15 minutes and half a roll of duct tape to do it right. The final thing they had to come back to fix was a condensation run-off pipe which actually ran uphill under the house thus preventing the condensation from ever exiting the furnace.
Description of Work: Had estimates and installation done to replace existing gas furnace and install new central A/C on each side of a duplex.

Everything was very good. They arrived and finished the job within 30 minutes. I will definitely use them again for all my heating and air conditioning needs.
Description of Work: They did an excellent job and also did a nice job of putting things back and cleaning up. Everything was in tact when they left and they even changed out a filter for me that I had in the closet and needed to do.

They showed up ON TIME, with a call to let me know they were on their way. One guy came to check the furnace, got it rigged for us temporarily so we wouldn't freeze to death, tried to call the company and get a replacement (no longer made due to the age of the furnace), called his boss to quickly give us an estimate on a new one. The estimate included all labor. We accepted the estimate and they were there the NEXT business day (day after New Year's), furnace and all materials in hand. They worked from 9am-230pm and took and disposed of the old furnace and installed a new one at that time. They were very courteous (my 10 month old was sleeping during the installation) and friendly and kept the work area clean and cleaned up afterwards! They thoroughly explained warranties, etc.
Description of Work: Came to check our upstairs furnace (20 years old) because it was cutting off after heating for only a few minutes. Found out a sensor or switch was out, tried to get replacement (no longer made due to the age) and gave us a quote for a new one quickly.
