Windows were installed in one day, as promised. They were very accommodating to our schedule once windows came in. Once installed, we were concerned about some windows that took force to lock and some that seem to not lock at all - we were afraid we'd break the window or lock if we forced it. Salesperson came out to see and basically said he hadn't seen this result before and "thought" it would be okay to force the locking. (!?)

They didn't remove and replace all of the aluminum that was agreed upon in the contract and they also failed to cover the aluminum on the overhang and wanted to charge me an extra $600.00 for this job. They did chimney flashing as well and that job was acceptable. The last time that I talked to Tim it was concerning some downspouts that had gotten loose and he said that he wouldn't come back and used inappropriate language even though there is a warranty.

All of the employees were exceptionally nice and very polite. They all had ample experience in this job so everything was done quickly. Rocky is top-notch and there wasn't anything he couldn't do or explain. Dewey and Joe were great as well. I never worried about leaving them at the house while I was gone and they were very mindful of cleaning up their mess every day, not just at the end of the job. Jennifer was always prompt in calling for scheduling, updates, and follow-up afterward. If anything is discovered afterward, they will come back quickly to fix it (I had forgotten a downspout in the back and they scheduled a replacement immediately). I would not hesitate to recommend T.Smith Siding to any of my friends or neighbors - in fact that's how I found them - two other neighbors had already used T. Smith and the work looks great!

Working with Tim and his employees was a great experience across the board, from the time I met Tim's brother at a trade show booth and first learned about T. Smith Siding to the final installation of the lights this weekend. The processes began with Tim stopping by to see my home in response to my request to fix some major gutter problems, replace some nearly rotten windows, and likely replace some very worn siding on my late '80s home. Unlike other contractors I've dealt with, Tim kept every appointment at the agreed upon times. During multiple visits Tim showed me a number of pictures of his work, all of which demonstrated the stunning visual differences that new siding can make. I indicated that I wanted to explore some style changes and would need some time to look around town and on the internet for ideas. This appears to have slowed the process down relative to most customers, but without exerting any pressure or frustration Tim took the time to understand what I was trying to do. He did a great job of noticing the artistic elements from the pictures I showed him and offered several suggestions that I ended up using. One neighbor though I hired a designer, but it was really Tim's ideas that did it. Importantly, he was very pragmatic in helping to keep the costs in line and offered a variety of choices. Several weeks later, which was a few earlier than I expected, the special order materials arrived. The crew showed up when they said and got a huge job done in a very impressive six days, including rainouts. Each evening the site was left in a very organized state and the existing landscaping was virtually undisturbed. The materials they used are of high quality, such as caulk that I believe won't crack in a few years to the lamp fixture mounting blocks so that the lamps rest against a flat surface instead of angled siding. After many years I am pleased to finally have gutters that are pitched properly and work. They didn't cover up rot, they fixed it. The Mastic siding Tim sold is really great - dirt comes right off. I spent more time thinking about the siding elements than I did the windows. However, a neighbor who is interested in windows looked them up and found that they're highly rated. The crew, which included several family members, was easy to work with. Their craftsmanship is excellent and they are clearly proud of their work, as they should be. They were even helpful in providing advice for other elements of the overall project. The entire staff kept me informed as to what to expect throughout. Obviously I'm very pleased with this contractor, his team, his product, their craftsmanship and my "new" house. With the huge improvement this made I'm hoping to see the T. Smith sign in other yards around the neighborhood soon. Given that the guys said they also do some interior work it very well may be back in my own.

Every step of the process was professionally performed. Options were discussed during the inital proposal process that allowed us to achieved the desired outcome. The work was done efficiently and the jobsite was spotless when they finished. Extremely pleased with the entire experience.

They never even made it out to give me a quote, therefore provide any kind of service. I would never use this company.

The guy did a fantastic job. I paid $1800 for the door replacement and $6000 for windows and siding. He matched the prices. Somebody had a better price on the window and somebody had a better price for the siding, so he matched that price. I gave others also opportunities to match the prices, but so far only he did it. He did a quality work. All the vendors that I had to give me quote were within the same ballpark. He was $300 more from the best price I had for the windows & siding and he matched that. He did a really good job.

Tim Smith provided quotes on siding and window replacements for home and office. He was able to work with our budget to give us the best price possible. Service should be completed mid-June.

We called T. Smith after repeated delays and problems in getting the windows we wanted from another company. Tim came out to our house right away to give us a quote, and was very patient in addressing all of our questions. We were uncertain if we wanted to incur the extra cost of two tone windows (tan on the outside, white on the inside), and are so happy he convinced us to spend the extra money for them. Looks great both inside and out. Triple panes really reduce street noise. Installers came when they said they would, and were kind enough to install around a birds nest on our daughter's window ledge. We noticed the grids were slightly uneven on a set of adjacent windows, and the installers thanked us for noticing and quickly adjusted it. The windows are a little tight to close, but we were told they are built that way at the factory as they will relax over time. Overall we are very happy and would recommend them. It's amazing how much new windows can improve the look of a house both inside and out!

Very good experience from initial bid through clean up.

Tim was helpful in developing a plan that I could afford, his crews worked fast in very tough winter weather and were curteous, experienced and kept everything clean.. Now that the exterior painting is complete, the end result is beautiful on the outside and the new window make the cabin much more weathertight and quiet on the inside. I am very pleased with the outcome.

I visited T Smith's showroom to inquire about having windows installed in my mother's house. From the get-go, the service was excellent. Jennifer was most knowledgeable but there was absolutely no pressure. We scheduled an appointment for Tim to come to my mother's home to give her an estimate. She was most pleased with his presentation and knowledge. She ordered the windows for the entire house. We were contacted promptly when the windows arrived and the installers were there when we were told they would be there. They were very courteous and worked very efficiently with minimal disruption to my mother. I noted a very minor problem with one of the areas of installation and they were right back out and corrected the problem. I and my mother would be pleased to recommend T.Smith for any home improvement project, but particularly the windows.

Everything went very smoothly from a prompt response on initial call to estimate to door and windows arriving ahead of schedule. The crew they sent were very quick and paid close attention to not making a mess. They were in and out in just a few hours and everything looks great.

From initial phone call through installation, the owner, Tim, was friendly, professional, straight forward, and honest. The quote was given without any pressure and he showed me the best quality windows in both the midgrade and premium levels. From order to installation was just under 4 weeks. The installation was very fast, most the work was completed in 1 day, with only a couple hours to finish up the next day. The installers were professional and cleaned up everything as they went along, both inside and out. Tim stopped by during installation to check on the work. We've had the windows for 2 weeks and I LOVE them. They are everything they advertise to be with efficiency and I can't wait to see the savings on my next utility bill. I will definitely recommend T Smith Siding and Windows to everyone I know.

Two installers came to work on the door. Removed old door and installed new one. Capped and caulked around the door. Tested door to make sure it opened and closed smoothly. Some interior trim was damaged when the door was removed and they replaced that with primed trim. T. Smith also provided a quote on Great Lakes windows, but we chose a different brand from another contractor. In terms of energy efficiency, the Great Lakes windows were excellent but we preferred the appearance of Gorell windows which had comparable energy efficiency.

I was in a small condo with three very old and oddly shaped windows. They gave me a quote and at the time I did not have the cash to spend. One year later I had saved up the 1200 dollars and asked if they would honor the original quote. They did. The windows were installed soon after and looked really nice. The installer was very professional.

The work went excellent from start to finish. They did what they said they were going to do. Started and finished when they said they would. I did have an issue with one window afterwards. Someone was out the very next day, which I did not expect and was very surprised. I think the biggest asset with this company is they use their own employees allowing them to be responsive when a problem does arrive.That was one of my biggest concerns in hiring a contractor. I would and will use this company again.

Nothing really stands out and I did not chose to go with them due to pricing. I will not have them bid again in the future.

Mr. Smith and his staff were professional and polite. Mr. Smith came personally and discussed the window options available to me. His was the first company to offer several options within my price range. The other companies I called brought only their most expensive window to review. The office staff called several times to keep me updated on my order. They worked to set up installation when it was most convenient for me. The entire area was cleaned prior to their departure including nails, debris, etc. I was very pleased with the work and price. I would certainly use this company again.

The first day started badly, perhaps coloring my experience. One man was left to begin stripping off the old siding. He dropped a long piece of old siding onto our heat pump cable. This knocked out not only the heat pump, but other electric lines in the house, requiring a stop, and visits from electricians and the furnace repair company, all paid for by us. When Mr. Smith came out to discuss the electrical problems, he disclaimed responsibility, but told me that our sheathing would have to be replaced at considerable extra cost. I was surprised that a professional had not figured considerable replacement on 25 year-old siding, but agreed to the additional expense estimate. The actual extra cost was nearly twice the top initial estimate. The work went slowly, often with only one man working for a whole day. Also, my thinking in hiring T. Smith was that I would not have to supervise a top quality crew. When I did check things out I found various problems: no sealant around windows, sheathing that didn't fit the space, torn moisture barrier, finishing trim that a tweak of my fingers removed, etc. These were generally fixed satisfactorily when I complained. At the end, which was almost on time, the finish work that I was told repeatedly would be done as a final step was minimal. We also had new gutters installed. They do not drain properly. In short, I feel that I paid for top quality work and did not get it.

We started gathering quotes around October of 2010 with home improvement companies. Some of the ones we selected used bait and swith tactics and others used huge price drops to get us to sign the contract on the initial night the salesman for the company came out. When T. Smith came out his first words was "I am no pressure". He showed us what we wanted to see and answered all of our questions. The deciding factor was that T. Smith used their own empolyees and not sub contractors. We had complete confidence in T. Smith the first night and signed. They scheduled us for late December and was actually ahead of schedule and completed the job by Christmas. I was impressed from day 1 of the installation. The guys were great and very curtious! I was like any home owner and very leary about selecting contractors to perform work but I would recommend T. Smith Siding & Windows to anyone. WE had an Amazing experience from the initial phone call to the completion of the job.
