Excellent - Fense looks fantastic and gates work well.

Great experience. The fence looks great and is rock solid. Did a good job of digging around lots of utility lines without disrupting anything. Price seemed a little high, but it was right in line with other estimates. I definitely recommend them.

I called and left a message of what I needed done. He came a few days later to give me a free estimate. I appreciated how he asked if I wanted to use the salvagable posts, brackets, etc. It saved quite a bit of money. He came when he said he would and set out to work right away. He brought his older kids to help him since it was a small repair job - I thought that was admirable (how that teaching experience will benefit them when they are adults.) When he was finished, he showed me a problem - When he had straightened up one slightly leaning but usable post (by pulling it at the top), the bottom of the post/old concrete shifted in the opposite direction and when he had gone to reattach the gates, they wouldn't meet by several inches or allow the latch to reach to close. However, he came back first thing the next morning, added some hardware and fixed it, without changing the estimated cost at all. I am very happy with my "new" fence!

We contacted Borders Fencing, after reading some great reviews on Angie's List. J.D. was in contact with us the day after we left a message, and was at the house to give us an estimate within 2 days. We asked him if there was any way that he could do the work prior to July 4th, and even though he was extremely busy, he told us he would do his best to accomodate our request. Within two days, KU and Columbia Gas workers were here to mark their lines. When we asked them who called them, they said and quot;Borders Fencing..you guys are getting a new fence, right?and quot;. (It was nice that JD took care of all this, and was on top of it as far as meeting city codes, etc.). JD and his crew came out the next day and set all the posts. I watched as everything was marked and leveled. They allowed the posts to sit for a day to cure, and were out immediately to install the fencing. We wanted a shadow box, arched fence, and I assumed that they would be panels that would be put together. I was wrong. JD and his crew installed the entire fence board by board, measuring/perfectly spacing each individual board as it went up. They arched the fence perfectly, and the double and single gates went in beautifully. JD was here on time, did what he said he was going to do, and did it well. They cleaned up their worksite completely and left no mess at all. We are very pleased with his work, and will call him again when have any fencing needs. Good folks!

JD had some FML and engine issue to work around but he answered my email and phone questions about scheduling. I think any operation of multiple people will be subject to delays so it is hard to nail down a date one week in advance. Once he started, it was superfast, quality, and cleaned up everything. Also, JD is a master of moving the work trailer around tight spaces without hitting anything.

James got back to me with an estimate of $800, I told him I was not interested in paying that much so to email me the breakdown of their pricing, which I never received. I called his office and talked to his wife and confirmed that they had the correct email, which they did and I still did not receive the email with the breakdown. I showed up home one day and the panels were put up without my permission! The panel that he used was a panel from the front part of my fence, so now there is a huge hole in my fence going down my driveway. What he did was actually take this panel down and cut it in half to make it fit. He started screaming at me saying that I agreed to the contract when I did not. He showed me an email that was not mine trying to say that I had agreed to it when I know I had not. He kept asking me why I did not tell him what I wanted when I actually never had a chance to tell him. My son was around and asked the man to stop screaming, which he didn't. I ended up giving James the money to get him to leave my property. All I needed was 5 panels that I priced out at Lowe's for $57 each plus labor, there was no way the work should have been that much. I do not recommend this company to anyone!

J. D. is fantastic. We could not have asked for more. Not only did he complete the job exactly as we wanted, and on time, but he was a great communicator, he was very nice to our neighbors, he cleaned up the job site as they worked - not just at the end - and he went beyond the call of duty to make sure we were satisfied. I would highly recommend J.D. and we will be using him again.

The crew from Borders Fencing LLC were excellent. They did a really good job and were always there when they said they would. They got the fence up quick, I highly recommend them.

Started the job on Monday, and was complete by the time we arrived home on Tuesday evening. All posts were cemented in, and soil was removed from site. Price was competitive, and service was great. JD is a pleasure to deal with. Angie's List was a winner in showing the good reviews for this contractor. Price came in exactly matching the estimate. A nice touch.

I have had him from before. Overall, the job was wonderful. He was very accommodating. He would tweak anything that I wanted done. He went out of his way. He had put a gate for me before and it was dragging a little bit. He came out, tightened everything up and trimmed the bottom. He was very pleasant. I would absolutely use him again in the future.

JD was very responsive in setting up a time to meet and discuss what I was looking for. He gave me quotes for the three different options I was considering. His price was in line with the other quotes I received for the job. I decided to go with him because of the good reviews on Angies List and from talking with him about the project. The job went smoothly and I am happy with the fence that was installed.

JD arrived to assess the yard and measure. He gave us an estimate and explained the different types of fences. He called to tell us when he would be coming to dig the post holes, etc. He was punctual and very professional. The job looks great and I would recommend him again.

We got a prompt estimate. He works in between jobs but still got to us fairly quickly. He completed the work as per the estimate and within the same price range. The work was done to our satisfaction.

They were very professional with great results. They came when they said they were coming. They cleaned up after themselves. They also had a great price, they were lower than others I received estimates from and their estimate was free.

I was pleased with the process. Borders was prompt and responsive and provided me a written estimate within a couple of days of surveying the yard to be fenced. The work appears to be of a high quality. Several friends have complimented the new fencing. I made two small changes to the project shortly before the work began and each was accommodated in the manner that I requested.

Mr. Borders visited and gave the lowest estimate. Most of the work was done while we were on vacation. There was a minor problem in ordering the materials, but he fixed it at no cost to us. Prompt, professional, polite. We're very pleased.

It went very well. We got a quote and estimate quickly. Borders called the utility companies to mark their lines. I got the permit from city building inspection. Within a couple of weeks from receiving an estimate, the fence was complete. The job was scheduled for this week, but he was able to come earlier than scheduled and completed the job ahead of the scheduled time. He even came on a holiday weekend. I'm sure that depends on the holiday, but I was impressed with the sacrifice. I am very pleased with the workmanship and personal service. The price was half of what Lowes estimated me and was hand built instead of panels. Very pleased!

JD did a great job on the fence gate. He also removed a basketball goal for me. It was set in concrete and he stayed after he finished the gate, dug it up and took it away on his trailer -- all for just a few dollars! It really helped me out!

It took a week to get an estimate for our backyard fence.

We obtained several estimates before hiring Borders. They were the best price quoted and did a phenomenal job.

This man here works out of his house. We have a split rail fence and we could not find an exact rail for the posts we needed so we ended up just replacing the whole thing. It really worked out good for us.
