I was a bit limited for time and Debbie worked with me to find the date and time that I could make. I was met on time, the procedure explained, the house was checked out and then I was given a review and all the information I needed. Fortunately for us, it was all good news. The price I paid for the service was the price I was quoted. Paperwork signed and the report was emailed. Very efficient and informative - it certainly relieved a lot of stress. Thanks Jeremiah and Debbie.

When I called to make an appointment, they were able to schedule us quickly, which was one reason we chose them over another firm. It was their wide scope of experience that impressed me the most, however (read about it on their website). Despite their impressive credentials, Rick (the engineer who inspected the house) is very approachable and easy to talk to. We learned so much from him during and after the inspection, which we loved! And then, as mentioned above, he provided us with a detailed written report (with photos) 36 hours after the inspection, and has everything ready to design plans for repairs when we ask for them. So, from beginning to end, we were treated with great courtesy and respect. Cole Engineering is top-notch company that provides excellent, professional service.

Mr. Cole came to the site the day after I called his office. He spent sufficient time examining the foundation walls and promptly got his report to us.

I called the ofice and needed this to be set up quickly. This was not a problem. Mr. Cole was on time, very professional and explained everything to me on my level. He was very thorough in explaining the reasons for the cracking (not just that yes, you have cracks and that it is okay, no worries). He let me know about the cycles of dryness and wet that affect the foundation of the garage and what to do to keep this more even (downspouts and the roots of the near-by tree). I am not concerned about this issue on my potential house. He has explained the issue and has told me how to monitor it in the future. I am very pleased and would highly recommend Mr. Cole.

Jeremiah arrived shortly after we did (5-10 minutes after the agreed time) and went right to work. Since we'd been spoiled by a great home inspector, I was initially a bit disappointed by Jeremiah--he was fairly quiet, and nothing he did seemed scientific. However, he eventually started to explain what he was doing, looking at, and his conclusions. I was eventually convinced that what we were paying for was his experience--that he knew a problem when he saw one. Since all of our inspections were due to be in by a certain date (due to the terms of the purchase contract), Jeremiah agreed to send the inspection report by a specific date. He did get it in by that date, but after we'd gone to bed. However, that wasn't an issue. The price seemed a bit high for the work that was done, but again, I believe we were just paying for his expertise and piece of mind. In all, Jeremiah was very professional.

Mr. Cole performed a very thorough inspection of the entire house that included the basement and the exterior walls as well as the affected areas and downstairs too. He explained everything as he went along. He spent time in the attic, which was reassuring, In the end he explained that the cracks were certainly not structural, and that they may be due to humidity issues or the sever temperatures we experienced this winter. He left an excellent impression. He said he would send a written report forthwith. However, I then had to chase his office for the report and it was sent to me on the 18th of February, or 3 weeks later, which I thought excessive. The report itself is very complete and professional, but I was not happy that I had to chase it - especially in light of the fact that they demand up front payment upon his arrival at our home. The only blot on an otherwise perfect copybook. Having said that, I would certainly recommend their services and I would certainly use them again.

Mr. Cole was professional and competent. He designed the repair for my basement (structural and waterproofing). He recommended three companies to do the repairs. He worked well with the companies as I was in the process of selecting one to do the work and modifications to the plans were being discussed, and he stayed in touch with the company I chose, coming out to review the work and giving his approval of the work at the end of the project. He was sometimes a little slow to respond, but I have never worked with an engineer on a project like this before, so it's possible that I was just anxious to get the work started.

Mr Cole was very thorough and professional. He went all the way down to the creek at the bottom of the hillside to confirm that the typical geology for the region does exist at this location. He examined the interior of the house as well and studied what settling had occured and provided his opinions on the downhill creep. I was very pleased with his verbal communication while he was doing the inspection. When I didn't understand what he was talking about, he was very patient and explained it in layman's terms.

Mr. Cole answered my questions as to problems and work that would be need to be done, and the timing I had to deal with it. His knowledge of older homes and issues with sub par concrete saved me a lot of time and money! The written report was first rate and was emailed to me with a very quick turnaround time, which was a big help in my dealings with the seller.

Good inspector for price, knowledgabe. Did not like the fact that a written report was an additional fee.

Jeremiah Cole of Cole Engineering Solutions came out and verified work that had been done on a retaining wall for a home that my buying client was wanting to purchase. She was a first time buyer and Jeremiah's explanation to her of the scope of the work that was completed by another company gave her the understanding she was needing to make an decision about whether or not to purchase. He uses language the general population understands and steered clear of industry lingo that often leads to miscommunication. He made her feel at ease about the questions she asked.
