WARM HEARTH CHIMNEY SWEEPS

John came out and inspected the chimney. Noticed that it needed to be cleaned and the morton had deterioated. He rebuilt the chimney and instaled a chimney cap. Did an awesome job! Would recomend!

I called Warm Hearth after another company swept my chimney and told me I'd have to spend nearly $2000 for repairs that were necessary before I could safely use my fireplace. Kerry came out for free, looked at my fireplace and chimney crown, and determined that everything was fine and I could use the fireplace immediately without any danger. He's very friendly and honest. I'll call him for any and all chimney related issues in the future.

They said it does not look like it has been used much which is correct. Suggested I add some more rock and glow stuff inside to cover up the gas holes and I could get what I needed at my local hardware store. They got on the room and verified there were no obstructions and that all was in good shape and it met all fire codes. I usually do not write reviews except for when I was looking for a Chimney sweep company they were few and far between and all wanted to charge way to much. I am very impressed they were very friendly but most important honest. I would of never know if it needed to be cleaned or not. but they were honest and only charged me for the inspection. If you end up using them off this review please let them know you saw this on Angie's list from the guy with the bad back in Shelbyville. Its always good for people to know someone appreciated their time..

Kerry was very friendly and professional. He was on time for all appointments and was very thorough and detailed in his assessment. You could tell that doing a great job was very important to him and that he wouldn't be happy or take a payment until I was completely satisfied. When I requested an insurance certificate he immediately got on the phone and had his agent send me over a copy. As a remodeling contractor I work with a lot of small businesses like Kerry's and I wish more of the tradesmen that we work with ran their business like he does. I'll be recommending Warm Hearth to all of my friends and neighbors.

I hired Kerry from Warm Hearth after reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List. He didn't disappoint. He called before he came and even arrived a little early, which is nearly unheard of for any service provider. He spent quite a while examining and cleaning the chimney. When he was done, he explained some issues that need to be addressed in the near future, but he did not push me to buy immediately. He explained the issues to make sure I understood and asked that I call him when I'm ready. I absolutely will. Kerry and his assistant were both very friendly and professional, and I highly recommend them.

We played phone tag for a while, but he didn't forget us! Kerry went up on the roof with a camera so he could show us on his little TV what he was doing and what he was finding. Definitely a trustworthy person that I would have again.

This company is amazing. Kerry was very professional and extremely knowledgeable. They arrived early and were very thorough. They (he had a helper, who was also very nice) put a drop cloth down immediately upon entering. They had me look up the chimney with a dental type mirror (but much bigger!!) so I could look up the entire length of my chimney. We did that from each opening. He was very careful to explain everything in detail. When the helper went up on the roof to examine the chimney and chimney cap, he had a camera. Kerry held a little monitor and showed me exactly when my chimney looked like, where the cracks were and made recommendations. He even had several cards of trusted masons handy. When going over our report, he answered all of my questions and actually educated me quite a bit. He explained the laws and safety recommendations. They left informative brochures about safety, avoiding fires and chimney caps. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Not only did Kerry answer his own phone, he drove to my rural home which is about an hour from Louisville, and only charged a modest amount extra to cover gas. A Lexington company called INDIAN SUMMER was going to charge us $300 just for an inspection!! We had an amazingly through inspection and for less than half of that. We later found out that $300 and up is the going rate for a FULL CLEANING. Obviously, we decided to go with Warm Hearth and we are very, very happy!!

Very professional! Prompt. Very protective of our furnishings...covered everything with clean drop cloths and left no mess. We ordered a chimney cap which was installed later with no fuss. Great experience Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience! He was incredibly responsive, very honest, provided a great service (punctual, did a very good job, answered my many questions, was incredibly clean with the work). This is a company I will definitely use again and highly recommend!

He actually showed up early for the appt. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Inspected Fireplace and gave me a signed receipt showing that the fireplace met all standards. NOTE: Another fireplace company said we needed $ 2,800 worth of work. They got a and quot;Dand quot; rating from me on an Angie's review.

He showed up on time. He was very friendly. He recommended a mason that would be a little cheaper and would do a great job.

I had a great experience with this company. I had to reschedule the visit twice, due to conflicts of mine, yet he cheerfully accommodated my schedule. He quoted me a price over the phone, arrived on time, explained what he was going to do, and set to work. In addition to sweeping my chimney, he climbed on my roof and inspected the chimney, even going so far as to use a camera which I viewed from the inside of my house. Finally, he also inspected my waterheater and furnace vents, to make sure they were going into the proper chimneys.

A fireplace sales company told us that our unvented fireplace was rusted and was beyond repair. We went to a different fireplace sales company to purchase another gas fireplace and told them that our chimney was leaking (because our fireplace was rusted) and we needed to get it inspected for damage. They recommended that we call Warm Hearth to look at it. The first thing that Warm Hearth did was to inspect our old gas fireplace. They said that it could not have been rusted since it was made of stainless steel and copper. All it needed was a thermocouple. WARM HEARTH IS HONEST!!!

We called Warm Hearth to have our chimney and wood burning stove cleaned and inspected. During that inspection (with cameras inserted into chimney) it was found that many of chimney tiles were cracked.. At that time we were told that they would not clean and then sign off on the inspection because a potential fire hazard. Evidently, at sometime unknown to us, we had a chimney fire that caused the tiles to crack. We contacted our insurance company. Warm Hearth worked with our insurance company for an estimate to install a sealed stove pipe. The insurance company approved their estimate and they promptly got to work. It took approx. 3 days to get all repairs finished because they had to coordinate between their work installing the pipe and chimney cap and a stone mason to remove stones from the front of the fireplace. Between both contractors we were promptly informed of arrival times. The stone mason did excellent work. The cement grout to replace the old was matched so close to the other remaining grout that it is hard to tell that part of the stones were removed and put back exactly as they were removed. We were treated by Warm Hearth and the stone mason with the ultimate respect. There is not enough words to compliment the work that was done by both parties. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Warm Hearth did an excellent job. Our chimney didn't need to be cleaned and they didn't hesitate to point that out. The technician was friendly and gave a lot of information on using a wood burning fireplace. Definitely recommend!

Very prompt call back even after listening to their voice mail say it is the height of their busy season and call backs may take up to 48 hours it took them three. Here is what I like best, honesty!! After hearing of my fireplace problem I was given the name of another company to help me. Here is the great thing. They could have scheduled a service call charged me for that, then told me it was not their area and referred me on. But being honest they recognized their area of expertise and let me know they were not the right fit for me. LOVE THAT!!! Thanks!

He did finish the work for me and he was exceptional. I would give him straight A's on every single thing. I have since recommended to our neighbor who is going to use him. I also had a roofing contractor here at that time that he finished. The roof contracting took his name from me and brochures to call him for business cards so that he could give it out to other home owners that were looking for chimney work to be done as this particular contractor didn't do chimney and he did only roofing but he said that he runs for lots of requests for whom he doles and he would recommend based on Angie's List. He said that he would definitely recommend him without any questions. I got him off Angie's List. I am a new member and I became a member because I had some major issues with the house and one was post chimneys that needed attention. I had one contractor come out and his pricing was astronomical and I had no way to know whether he is really telling me the real thing. So that was one that I had so I thought I would go to Angie's List to check him out. When I checked I found that he wasn't on Angie's List but the number one rated was Warm Hearth Chimney Sweeps so I had them come out and I would have reported about my satisfaction was that the people that were not on Angie's List told me that it would cost $1400 to fix my chimney. Warmth Hearth charged me $550 for both chimney's and he did a superior job so my instinct was to say that the first company wasn't really what I had to pay otherwise I would have spend a way more than what was required. He brought a small TV camera with a monitor and he put the monitor inside my home. He used the TV camera which was very small to show me what he could see in the room, how he would aim it to the compartments of the room and said how it works. Then he said that he would call up to the ladder to my chimney and he was going to do the same thing. He was going to show everything about the chimney that might need attention. He said that I could see everything what is going on to my chimney with the monitor in my home. He climbed the ladder and he showed me where there was cocking missing between the bricks, where they were cracked and the cement that cropped. He showed me where the water had been getting into the bricks and the bricks were actually leaking apart. He touched one and it just crumbled and fell to the roof. I could see that with my own eyes. I am not up there and because he had this camera I knew that he was telling the truth because I could see it. It wasn't making something up as he hadn't gone to the roof yet before that. He was finding it as I was watching it. Then he could drop that camera into the chimney to show me if I needed my chimney cleaned. I don't know anybody else and everybody told that I needed the chimney cleaned and it would cost and ldquo;Xand rdquo; number of dollars extra. I could see that it was okay and it was in a good condition and wasn't built up. He could explain to me as he was watching it what it was that he wasn't recommending I have it cleaned. But the first company that was ripping me off told that I needed the chimney cleaned. That's why I would give him extraordinary and ldquo;A+and rdquo; highest rating because he was honest. He came out and fixed it one day. I paid him $550 for two chimney's and one more thing that it covered is that every year he would come back annually in the month that he did his work to recheck if there is any other additional problems have developed and inspection once a year is free in the month that he did the work for me. The other feature that I thought that was outstanding was that the loop products that he used. He gave brochures of the company and they explained what the product was. The first product was to water proof my deteriorating chimneys and the company brochure explained what it was made of and everything what needed to known about what he was putting on. The second company produced a product that sealed the top of the chimney formed a new cap for it and both of those products were guaranteed for ten years. So for $550 I got more than my money. I got trust and an excellent technician and I had my face restored in honesty of repair people which was rare. Especially a person like me didn't know that kind of stuff. So Angie's List has been very valuable to me to trust from comments of others who have used that. He is honest, does good work, treats fairly and gives information that is needed to make a decision. This is outstanding. When I first called him he returned my call within hours of me leaving a message. When he called again he said that he had a four load that particular day and he would get back to me the following day to find out what I needed and which he did. However on the second call he said that from what I needed I am booked for the next and ldquo;Xand rdquo; number of days provided he said that he would call me when he would come. He called me to tell me that he was certainly was covered up and couldn't get here but he promised me that I would not forget me and that I was on his list. Then he called me to say that he could do it within the next week provided we didn't have any more rain. So he kept me updated of what was happening because it was three weeks ever that he could do the job. Now I know why because he was getting so much business and he can't get it all done in a week like somebody else. The product and the work were guaranteed for ten years. This workman's honesty, quality work and video camera inspection which the client can watch proved that he was at the top of his field and reestablished my faith in good workmanship. I will keep recommending to everybody that I can. I wished all tradesmen were as excellent as this one was because he just did stuff that I would have never expected.

If they are no longer in business, or not accepting new work, I would have appreciated a call back or an email letting me know.

Kerry arrived promptly on time and pulled the insert out of the fireplace. He had all the proper equipment for the job including a special rack to row the insert out on (it weighs about 500 lb) so he had complete access to the fireplace and firebox for cleaning. Every thing was done very neatly with plenty of drop cloths to contain the dust and creosole mess. While Kerry was on the roof cleaning the chimney, his associate did a through cleaning of the stove which also included cleaning the glass door on the stove. Only problem was as he was scrapping the glass door on the inside, the glass insert cracked and broke - no problem! As soon as Kerry came off the roof, he called me in to show me the problem and assured me it would be taken care of at no expense to me. Within 15 minutes he was on the phone to the manufacturer and had a new glass insert ordered and on the way. In the meantime, they completed the clean up, put the stove back in place, and got all their equipment loaded up. Kerry refused any payment at that time and said we would settle up when the new glass insert arrived and he came back to install it. Within two days the glass insert arrived - Kerry came the next day and installed it, and even though I offered to pay for the glass, he refused to let me pay for it!! These guys were very professional and courteous during the whole process - I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone else!
