My wife called at about 7:30 AM and was told that someone would be out that afternoon. Oliver, one of their technicians, arrived at 12:15 PM and completed the repair by 12:45 PM. He had all the required material with him in his truck. The service was prompt, the repair effective, the technician professional, and the price very reasonable. We're very pleased with Venhoff and will certainly use them again in the future.

It was absolutely a positive experience with them. They were there when I needed them and they worked around the other contractors to get everything in what was supposed to be in. They were very professional. When we first started I thought we won't be done in time but they really made it possible. They were just all the way around. They were awesome. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

This is a good example of the service we get from Venhoff. We have been using this company for most of our plumbing repair work since 2007, and we've always been satisfied. They have fixed faucets, toilets, a pinhole leak in a hot water line. They installed some new faucets in one bathroom and, once, repaired a serious break in the water line where it entered our house. They do good work, and stand behind it (as they did in this case). They always come quickly. And they always clean up thoroughly after themselves, unlike some plumbers. Their prices seem reasonable. In fact, the bill is usually less than I expect it to be (but I'm a pessimist).

I met with Richard Venhoff so he could give me an estimate on totally re-plumbing a 100 year old farmhouse I am rehabbing. He was nice enough and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. However, he told me that I would need a direct vent water heater since I was putting it in the attic (non of the other plumbers had suggested this) which would add a significant amount to the job. After waiting a couple days for the estimate I received an email with the quote............................. $11,000!!!!!!! HIGHWAY ROBBERY!! This is an 1050 square ft. house! All I can say is get at least 3 bids, if not more. NOT all contractors are equal! I got the exact same work done for $5000.

I called with a leak in my bathroom and scheduled an appointment. Their technician showed up a couple minutes late, which was no big deal, and spent 15 minutes looking at our leak before declaring he couldn't fix the problem that day, and since we are planning a bathroom renovation we should just wait until we started that. He then charged my wife $85 while I was at work. When I called to dispute the $85 charge, since no work was done and their website trumpets free estimates on every page, I was told by Richard Venhoff that since I didn't specifically say the words 'free estimate" they sent a service truck on the run and I was on the hook for the charge. When I pointed out that whatever terminology was used, what I received was an estimate since the technician only assessed the issue and did no work, Richard told me that if I had been able to tell him the problem I could have gotten a free estimate over the phone. However he did "graciously" offer to let me apply the money paid toward our renovation. Since that would basically reward them for what I view as a nefarious and borderline fraudulent business practice by awarding them a job that will cost in the neighborhood of $3500 in order to save $85, I declined. I also informed him that even though we were pleased with prior work that Venhoff had done for us in the past, that $85 was going to cost them any possibility of work in the future.

My experience was excellent. I called and received an estimate for the service over the phone. They arrived when they said and the cost was consistent with the estimate I received over the phone. The service man did an excellent job and left the area clean after the repair. I would definitely use them again.

When I tried to use my heat in my new house for the first time it wouldn't turn on. The furnace wouldn't ignite. I called Venhoff plumbing and was told that someone would be out the next day. The serviceman arrived on time and gave a call before arriving. He (Tony) was very professional and quickly found that my fresh air intake was clogged with what looked like an old bird's nest. He cut the PVC and snaked out the debris and then had me up and running in no time. He was polite and very respectful of the house without making a mess. I would use Venhoff again for my Heating/AC needs.

I called and talked to Joe Venhoff about my project. He came out and looked at what I wanted done. He was very professional and friendly. He got an estimate to me in a day or so. I felt it was a fair estimate and hired him. His crew came out when I needed them and were also friendly and professional. They did a great job. I have no complaints. Even when my job was going along quicker than expected, he worked with me to get his guys out here when I needed them. I would definately use them again for a project like this.

They do the work every year and they are very good. They do what they are supposed to do, and they do it promptly.

They came one business day after I called them. The one serviceman called before he came, and came right when he said he would. He brought the latest model traditional gas water heater and installed it cleanly and quickly. He also thoroughly cleaned out the washer drain. Price was very reasonable. Serviceman was very friendly and professional. I can't see myself ever call another plumbing company now.

Needed a plumber right away. I called around 7:30am and he arrived by 8:45am and was finifhed by 9:15. I have an old house, and luckily had had the parts I needed right in his truck.

called at 800 am....service guy arrived at 1000 am....finished at 1115. an excellent job by Larry and Brian....At the conclusion i was given an explanation of proper care of new water heater.

I called the company about 3:30 pm when the leak was found. The manager listened to my story, called Tony and moved some things around in his schedule so he could come the next morning. The contractors had turned the heating system off and the leaking had stopped so waiting until the next morning was not an issue. They performed the work quickly and efficiently.

Excellent. I'd had trouble finding someone to service this particular boiler and last year paid someone to travel in from Lexington to Louisville, which was ridiculously expensive. This individual from Venhoff was thorough, considerate, punctual and capable. Very glad to have found them and will definitely use them in the future.

I was quoted $720.00 to upgrade my old hot water heater to a new 50 gallon model. Larry came out the next morning right on schedule. The whole job took less than 2 hours including draining the old tank, installing the new tank and hauling away the old water heater. Larry was very professional and explained every step of the operation. After all was done, he also gave me a short training session on keeping the water heater in good service. Larry also installed all new water lines, shutoff valve and a drain. The bill was exactly what I was quoted on the phone, $720. This is the second time I have used Venhoff and I am once again very pleased.

I bought my house 5 years ago and every winter, a sewer gas odor would rear its ugly head. Sometimes it was barely noticeable and other times it was intense. The problem was so intermittent that it seemed impossible to find the source. Over the years, I hired 4 different plumbers to locate the leak to no avail. There were suggestions of everything from robotic cameras to exploratory surgery (digging up the floor in suspect spots) but nothing ever came of those ideas. They did fix some minor problems that might have been the culprit. However, the problem persisted. I finally Googled "sewer gas Louisville" and Venhoff was one of the first hits. After checking Venhoff's website, I checked Angie's list and found good reviews so I gave them a call. From the very first call to when I paid the bill, they were very friendly and professional. I told them that the odor was intermittent and that it might require that they respond quickly to at least locate the source of the leaks. Diane said that they would do their best to be there on short notice. A couple of weeks after my initial inquiry the odor appeared and they were able to send someone within a few hours. They used the "smoke bomb" and found the leaks within 20 minutes! I was amazed that after a $1000.00 wasted and 5 years of frustration, Venhoff found the problem in 20 minutes. They were back within one week and took care of the problem. FYI; My house was built in 1912 and apparently short cuts were taken either when they installed the drain lines and or when some remodeling was done in the 1950's. The Venhoff plumbers seems especially adept about older houses. After Venhoff diagnosed the problem, I probably could have found another plumber to fix the issues for a little cheaper. However, what do they say? "You get what you pay for". Venhoff's price was certainly fair and well worth it. I highly recommend Venhoff plumbing. Should the need arise in the future, I will gladly employ their very friendly, prompt and professional services again.

Overall it went great. Everyone was very professional, and the work was accomplished quickly and on the schedule they promised. The original verbal estimate, sight unseen, was $700. After I received two other estimates that were close to triple his price, I called him and told him I was concerned he could do it for the price he had given me. So he came out and viewed the lot (it's on a hill) and upped his verbal estimate to $900-$1100. The only problem was that I asked for, but did not receive a written estimate. I received only the verbal estimate, but that's exactly what I was charged ($1100). Because they did good work at such an apparently reasonable price, I will for sure use them again.

I found the company using Angie's List and visited their website to look at their services. It is hard to find reliable service for older natural gas boiler and radiator heating. They sent Tony out to take a look at my system. I knew absolutely nothing about the system, so Tony started by explaining the whole system, care, and safety. He was very professional. I ended up having to replace a noisy pump controller $80 and a thermocouple $10. Tony was very friendly, professional, and clean. He had the whole system dismantled, cleaned, and inspected in about an hour. I was very happy with the cost and all the work done. I highly recommend you ask for Tony if you have an older boiler system. I didn't bother with an estimate I just had him go ahead with whatever needed done.

THEY ALWAYS COME WHEN I CALL. THEY CALL BEFORE THEY COME OR IF THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE A DELAY. THEY ARE REALLY RELIABLE. THEY WORK PRETTY QUICKLY.
