 + -1 moreSix years ago I had 15 members of our family scheduled here for Thanksgiving dinner. It was the day before they were to arrive, and...the toilet stopped up. What to do?? I got out the Yellow Pages and started calling. Venhoff was the only plumber that answered. They came right out and the toilet was fixed in 30 minutes. I thought, well now, they will really charge me a high price because of the holiday. Not at all. They only charged me for the time they were here. I kept the bill, and when we needed a plumber here again today, I called them and they came right out. Again, the charges were really reasonable. What a find! A plumber who takes pride in their work and does a great job!
Description of Work: Phillip replaced the cut-off valve on the side of the toilet and then put new workings inside the tank. He was quick, thorough and efficient. I would call Venhoff Plumbing again!

Description of Work: They relaxed a water heater. Ran a new vent line and combined water lines (2 separate water heaters into 1). Everything was great except I felt they should have suggested cut off valves on the lines from the new water lines to the bathrooms. I had to have them come back out and install them. It wasn't that they did anything wrong but it would have been helpful to suggest. Those of us that are not experts often don't know what we need or want until options are laid out. That said, the work was done on time, very professional. This is the 2nd time I have used Venhoff and have been satisfied with their company and I would use them again.

 + -1 moreI contacted Venhoff to request a consultation and estimate. The owner came the next day -- he could have come that same day but this was not convenient for me. We discussed the work and he gave me an estimate that was acceptable. He called the next day and the work was scheduled at a convenient time for me the next week. The workers showed up promptly, completed the work ahead of schedule, and were very neat.
Description of Work: Replaced my water heater, found and cleaned a sewer drain clog, and replaced a corroded washing machine water hose.

 + -1 moreThe plumbers from Ven Hoff are very professional and knowledgeable. I have had them I think three or four times during remodeling and seen at least three different men. No problems at all. One thing I so much appreciate is that unless two men are required, Ven Hoff sends only one. Other plumbers I have used always send two men--and charge much more. I also appreciate that when I call in and describe a problem, the man they send will be chosen because he is knows that particular kind of problem. For example, one of their men is very good with hot water heating and understands the workings of the furnace. Another may be better at something else. Again, I have called another plumber in the area, described the problem, and been charged despite the fact that neither of the two men sent knew diddly about that particular kind of problem. Service is prompt and timely. Usually in a non-emergency situation there has been only a day or two between my call and the day of the appointment. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Reinstalled and leveled a washing machine which had been removed for floor replacement, replaced a leaking water hose on it, and replaced a gasket in a toilet.

 + 0 moreI couldn't believe I actually got an answer when I called at 3 in the morning during a flood . Our sump pumps (yes plural) stopped working during 7 inches of rain on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. Jason came out and did a wonderful job installing a new sump pump at 4 am. while standing in 2 foot of cold dirty water. Then because they charge a minimum of one hour , he hung around for the entire hour to make sure it was working properly. I will definitely recommend.

They came promptly and fixed it. They were very professional. I know who I'll call the next time I have a plumbing problem.

I have used them since 1997 when I moved here. They are reasonably priced, courteous and punctual, and their work is very high quality. I will never use another plumber.
Description of Work: Performed a major kitchen sink tuneup (their words). New pipes, new shut-off valves, snaked the pipes, cleaned up perfectly. I have never been so pleased with a company. I have used them since 1997 for my plumbing work.

It is now Sept 28th and still have not been contacted by the company. If they won't even reply to a request how could I ever trust that they will be punctual or professional when providing the actual service?
Description of Work: Wanted to have a flush valve installed on a tankless water heater and replace a water softener. Asked for a quote or for them to contact me if they needed to do a site visit first.

I was very pleased with how quickly they were able to come to my home for the quote as well as how quickly they were able to schedule the work. The workers showed up on time and finished two hours ahead of schedule. I am really pleased with the job they did.
Description of Work: I am adding a bathroom to the upstairs of my home. Although the plumbing was roughed out, I needed Venhoff to install a tub, flange as well as prepare the hookups for the vaniety sink and shower head.

 + 0 moreThey were fantastic and punctual. They found my leak quickly. They fixed something that a couple other companies messed up.
Description of Work: I had no hot water in my home because of a leak and went through 2 plumbers at first. I had so many problems in trying to figure out how I would get the problem fixed. A lot of problems erupted and then I decided to get a different plumber and went with Venhoff. They came in and located the leak in a different room. They dug out my concrete and replaced the pipe and sealed it back up and were gone.

 + 1 moreOverall, Venhoff Plumbing seemed more knowledgeable than the other companies I had obtained estimates from. Although, as I pointed out before, they could have done a better job covering my house with plastic sheets, they did a good job and I would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: The drain for my clothes washer had begun to leak and water was coming up through the concrete (my house is on slab). I had several companies come out to take a look and provide estimates. The owner for Venhoff Plumbing came out, took longer to examine the situation than anyone else had and seemed more knowledgeable. Since the pipe was located within the concrete, other companies indicated that they could not tell exactly where they needed to jackhammer, but that it would have to occur. Venhoff plumbing came out, and after looking around for a while, found where the drainage line was connecting to the main sewer line and therefore knew exactly where to drill. After quoting the cheapest rate for the job (by a minimum of $300), I had Venhoff Plumbing come out and replace the entire drain, and install a new connection to the main sewer line. So far, I have had no issues with the washer. However, the only issue I would say there was is that the plumbers could have done a better job with covering my electronics and couches, and separating the rooms with plastic sheets to keep the concrete dust and particles from spreading throughout my entire house. Although I have literally scrubbed all my walls on the first floor, as well as floors and anything else imaginable, I am still finding concrete particles throughout my house.
