TruGreen Lawn Care - 5150

I hired Scotts to get rid of a invasive weed problem in my back yard. The person I dealt with assured me that they could take care of the problem. I thought it was on the expensive side but I was sure that a national company could take care my problem. Two months later and the problem was worse. As they usually come during the day when I am at work I had not seen them come or go. When I did finally meet the worker he admitted that they had not been doing my back yard because the person I first dealt with had left the company. Money down the drain! And my yard is worse than it ever was.Bad experience. You must keep on top of these people or they will not actually do what you hired them for. I suggest that you make them appear at you house at a specific time and date so that you can visually see them do what they were being paid for.

It is easy to just let them do it and they have been pretty good. Their product is well known.

I pay them annually. I was coming home from work and was following a truck. It was a white truck and it said TruGreen. I didn't know what it was. I saw this guy with a big hose who was working on my neighbor's yard. I asked him what he was doing because I had never heard of TruGreen. I asked him to come by and give me an assessment of my property and see what he could do to get me started and that's how it happened. They are excellent.

They are good. They are very standard. I hire the best in the area and at that point they were better than who I had before. I do things differently. They were knowledgeable about the lawn and explained things.

Fair, it looked pretty good but it expected it to look much better considering the price.

They were very good at coming to let us know they were there, and then get the job taken care of. Whatever he did took care of the problem. I liked that I knew they were there but I could still focus on my kids and whatever else I was doing.

I cannot say anything good about them. We had them for a couple of years and they didn't do anything for us. It's taken us two years for them to stop. They don't do a good job. I don't recommend them to my own worst enemy.

They do a good job, and get done what they need to do. They switched drivers and he didn't know that he was supposed to do my two side yards as well. I called them about the situation and they fixed it.

I just want certain services and they do a very good job, but I have to make sure that I tell them just what I want, or I will get the whole nine yards. The person who puts on the fertilizer gives me a notice of what he did to my yard plus recommendation if he sees anything. They don't just send the bill for what he has done but I get an itemized notice of what is done. I have used them for a long time.

I've been using them for about 5 year. They do a great job.

They come out about four times during the year. I'm very happy with their service. I get a five percent senior discount. My lawn really looks nice and people commented that it looks like a golf course. I'm just very happy with them.

I like to use them to keep my yard green. The fertilizer works and I don't have any weeds. They show up while I am at work and treat the lawn.

They take good care of the lawn and I will continue to use them.

Overall they do a pretty well job. The yard is looking great. They come out and do there job fast.

They have been out about 5 times in the last year I think. The one thing that they do that I don't like is that they call all the time and try to get you to upgrade. Even when you say no, they keep calling. To the point that I am not sure I will renew this year.

I've used them for the past 5 years. I pay a yearly fee because of the fact that I save money. They do a good job but it depends on who comes out. They have different service reps. I've had very good reps but I had one last year that I confronted. I told him that I pay for him to do a good job and not to rush over and not do a good job. I showed him the evidence on what he was not doing and he apologized. Overall they do a good job but it is not perfect and it depends on which rep comes out. They come out several times. Mostly they assign me one rep and mostly I've had good reps but this year I had different reps. They are probably not the cheapest but I haven't compared their prices. They start off with a very high price and then they give a discount if I am a senior citizen and if I pay all at once. They negotiate the price and if you don't negotiate you will pay a very high price. I would like them to give a set price. I feel they throw out a price and I start from there. They don't know what their prices are and I don't think they are really honest with their prices. They really do a good job. My lawn is very healthy in the summer and I get a lot of comments on how well it looks. I also do a lot of stuff myself. They are responsive and always come out. They do not call and say when they are coming so I don’t know when they are coming but they know when they are coming. They come 6 times from April to October. They are professional. I will probably continue to use them.

We use them in the summer and we get a last spray in the fall. They put a barrier around the foundation of the house to keep out spiders and stuff.

My husband deals with them more than what I do. I don’t remember how much we spent on the service. Their price wasn’t awful. They kind of come out whenever they want to. I know my husband wasn’t real happy with them but we might use their services again in the future.

They didn't do a very good job. I've been using them since February. For the value, I don't see the customer support and/or value because they are not doing a very good job with the weeds because I have several different types of weeds in my yard. They should do a better job because I am paying for it. They are overpriced. I've never asked them anything. They are supposed to come once a month.

I did not renew my contract for this year. I did not like their product. The technician was fine. But it looks worse now than when he got here. They blamed it on the weather. I feel like this is their business and they should do what it takes to make it look good. That is what I am paying them for. I guess they are as good as anyone else. I thought they were expensive for what they did. They had good responsiveness and punctuality. The guy that came out to do the work was very professional. The people in the office were less.

We spend $45 each time they come. They spray the lawn. We have not noticed a lot of difference yet. Everything is okay. It is hard to comment on their quality because I don’t see any difference. I wish they would call before they come but they don't do that. They say that the technicians don't have phones in their trucks. I think that is bizarre because one should be able to contact the technicians at all times. When they were here a couple of weeks ago, it was a reschedule. They came one morning and did not call me to tell me that they were on their way. By the time I got to the door and opened it, he was pulling away. I called them and asked them why they did not inform me that they were on their way. They had no phones in the truck and I had no way of contacting him telling him to come back. That was not good. From my past experiences I know that when people finish one job and head for another, they usually call. But these people don't do that. One never knows when they are going to show up. They have only come here twice to spray and they say that it will take time. We have to wait and see.

I had them spray before while it was raining, apply weed killer in the middle of a drought, and not spray my backyard and charge me the same price as the previous month. When confronted they had a shopping list of excuses. My yard looks 100% better with me doing it myself.

My tree and shrub treatment is $45 and my lawn treatment is $39 per treatment. They call ahead if you request and they leave a receipt showing what they did with constructive comments about what they observed. They always miss a couple of places and I always have to call them back. I have some weeds in my yard and they can't address them. It is a locust weed and they say it is a sapling. I expect them to take care of all the weeds in my yard and apparently they can't, but they are a good company. The price is good. If I call with a complaint they come out. You don’t schedule appointments and for the most part they come when they call. I’ve been using them for awhile.

We have them come out seasonally. We started with them last year. When they came last time, I was not here but my husband was here. He paid the bill. I am not sure about the exact amount but I think it was a little over $100. They were cheaper than the others who came by. We have tried around and they offered the cheapest price for what we needed. The price was very reasonable. They use a weed killer and a fertilizer. We have never had a problem with them. If there were some more dandelions that they did not get, they came right back out and apologized for it. They did explain that everyone around me had dandelions and it was blowing into my yard. We will use this company in the future.
