Mike and Mike were friendly, professional, courteous, and focused on their work. All the equipment functions properly, and nothing was left unfinished.

+ -1 moreThey're just really good. They were on time and professional. They're extremely nice, courteous and friendly. The price was really very good. They were very responsive because I called back twice with a couple of questions about the vent in the attic before they got there.
Description of Work: I used Robbins Heating & A/C Company to have the HVAC checked out. They made sure that my air conditioner was leveled in the back and on the side of the house. They went to the attic to check and try to see what the issue was with the vent, which runs my master bathroom, because it was not connected.

One company didn't show up and another's price was $2k more than Robbins because they tried to oversize my unit. David Haddad was the sales tech who came to the house and prepared an estimate. Friendly, knowledgable and on time.... and everything he told me checked out with a mechanical engineer I know. As I said, his price was $2000 lower than one of the other A list companies who told me I needed a 5 ton heat pump (the 3.5 ton unit I replaced worked fine for 18 years). Mike and Mike did the install in one day. They were friendly,cleaned up everything when they were done and the new unit works great.

+ -1 moreIn 2010 we had a humidifier installed on our furnace for the sole purpose of keeping our hardwood floors from cracking. Since installation this humidifier has never worked properly. What's worse is the people working at Robbin's are extremely rude and unhelpful. Twice when talking to them about problems with the humidifier, I've been hung up on. One of their servicemen came out to check the system when it wasn't working and told us it was fine and working properly. When I called the following week to say I still didn't think it was working, they sent another repairman who informed us it was NOT working and the humidistat part would need to be replaced. Our most recent experience with them began this past week when I called and asked them to come out again (they had already been here back in November). I was told they would send someone, and that I would NOT be charged. When the repairman left this morning, he told me it was fixed and slapped a $120 bill down in front of me. He then informed me "they just couldn't run out here for free every time we had a tiny problem." I signed the bill, stupidly. The worst part is, after he bullied me into signing the bill, we realized the system still was not working and he had to return an hour later.

+ -1 moreRobbins Heating and A/C my furnace and air conditioner approximately 20 years ago. At the time, they came recommended to me by a friend. They gave me a price lower than anyone else. And their installation was professional and on time. This year when I needed to replace my furnace and air conditioner again I called two other companies for an estimate before I called Robbins. Both quotes were hundreds of dollars above what Robbins charged. They arrived on time and finished sooner than estimated. Kevin Robbins and his employees are very friendly and express a sincere desire to provide the best service.

+ -1 moreThere were two men that came and showed up when they said they would. Very unusual nowadays. They were very pleasant and used drop cloths and tarps all the way from the attic to the outside door. Very clean and professional. They took away the old unit and installed a new Carrier system. After they left, the house was cleaner than before they came. Did a nice job installing the unit in the attic and also the outside unit. They came about 8:30am and left about 2:00pm. I was very pleased with their installation.
Description of Work: They installed a furnace and a Carrier Infinity air conditioning unit on the second floor of our home in the attic.

+ -1 moreThe arrived promtly at 8: 00 am and discussed the process of what they were going to do. Both men were very friendly . they replaced the coil on the inside unit and replaced the outside compressor. They had to run new coils to the outside unit since they moved it away from the dryer vent. Before they left they installed a new programmable thermostat. They both cleaned up before they left and hauled away the old unit. We were very pleased with the work and the overall price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: We had to replace our air conditioner unit and inside coil. We have used Robbins Heating and Air on several occasions. After getting estimates from 3 other companies we chose Robbins becasuse their price was competitive with the other companies. They also moved the outside unit away from a dryer vent that the old unit sat next to. Also they installed a new programmable thermostat.

+ -1 moreThey are a full service company so they can repair anything that is wrong. They do good work and they are good people to deal with. Their office is great. The price is around $100 per year. They are punctual and they are here when they say. We typically get the same guy. He is friendly and amicable. He is here for about 15 minutes and gone. They are a good company. I also used them at my work before I retired.
Description of Work: We use Robbins Heating & A/C every six months to service and do maintenance on our heating and air conditioning units. They make sure that everything is clean and operating properly. They will be back in October.

+ -1 moreThe day of the appointment, the service person show late but this was due to being the busy time of the year for air conditioning service calls. Once he arrived, he informed me that my a/c coil was frozen and I would have to turn the system off for a day to allow it to thaw before he could do any services on the system. So, we rescheduled for the next day. On the second day, he checked the system and found my a/c coil had a leak. I have an older heat pump system and he gave me a couple of different options to resolve the issue with my system. He charged my system and it's working fine now and I now have option for the future if my system goes out. Overall, they did what I asked for a reasonable price.
Description of Work: Recharged system due to being low and gave evaluation on system.

+ -1 moreLeft with no heat on a cold February day, I called Robbin Hand A in a panic as my husband is bed bound and no heat for any length of time is unacceptable when someone is ill. Robbins came out almost immediately. Dave, the heating technician, was fast and professional. Dave was the one that turned our furnace back on. Miller Pipeline never even checked on us again after they turned the furnace off - they just packed up and left when they were done in the neighborhood. (Note: Miller Pipeline did eventually reimburse us the cost of the repair as they had been fixing other home owners 'out of code' flex pipe issues for free before turning furnaces back on. We, unfortunately, did not get that offer.) Thank goodness Robbins was dependable!
Description of Work: Miller Pipeline (LGE) turned off our furnace in order to replace a gas line in our yard. In doing so the Miller Pipeline workman said our furnace was not 'in code' because it had a flex pipe running out of the furnace and he could not turn the furnace back on until I got it fixed.

+ -1 moreNormally they send a different person every time. They are very good. One time we had a guy who was new and wasn’t very sure of what he was doing. He didn’t catch a leak and it ended up that our air conditioner went out when it was very hot. They came back and fixed it within a day and took care of everything. The project usually goes pretty good. They are here when they say they will be. They are pretty cheap and do a good job. The people are very friendly.

+ -1 moreHe did a great job and put in a good system. His name is Larry Robbins. After we put the system in and cycled through one full season the air conditioner wouldn't work. He came out in April 2010 and it was just a little bitty piece. It was a factory recall and he said that he had been letting people call him instead of having them go look for problems. He wouldn't let me pay him for that. Everybody else wanted $7-8,000 to put a system in and he gave me at 10-year warranty. He seemed like an honest guy. He was good and he was respectful of my house. He laid tarps in the basement. He did a class A job. He is kind of rough around the edges when you talk to him but he is not crude; he is not a refined gentleman in a 3-piece suit. He does a really good job and is good at what he does.

+ -1 moreThe HVAC tech was punctual and polite. He was very considerate of space in the basement bringing all his own equipment even the extension cord he needed in order to vacuum the furnace. In addition, he was a good source of information on types of furnace filters and where we could get them at a reasonable price. They put in a new central air unit in for us last year and were every bit as professional. Will definitely use them again!

+ -1 moreRobbins demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the Carrier products and made several reccommendations to modify the system I had originally planned that saved me operating costs and allowed mt to receive higher rebates from Carrier, the state of Kentucky, and the Federal goverment. It was obvious after discussing my needs with two other companies that Robbins was head and shoulders above everyone else in expertise. The system was installed per my schedule and completed in one day.
Description of Work: Robbins professionally replaced my twenty year old heating and air conditioning system with a top of the line Carrier system. I was impressed by their efficient work and technical savvy. I priced the system with two other A+ better Business Bureau companies and they could not compare to Robbins. I am extremely satisfied with the finished installation and highly reccommend this company to anyone needing their services.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE RECOMMENDED BY SOMEONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THEY WERE PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND SO WAS I. I WAS REALLY COMFORTBABLE WITH THEM. THEY WERE HONEST WITH ME. I HIRED THEM WITH THE INTENTION OF HAVING THE DUCTS CLEANED, BUT THEY CAME IN AND SAID THEY WOULD CHECK BEFORE THEY DID ANY ACTUAL WORK. MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY AND I JUST WANTED TO FIND SOMEONE TO BE ABLE TO DO IT. BEING A FEMALE I FELT LIKE I COULD TRUST THEM.
