Response from Precision Garage Door
I apologize for not getting a paper copy of your invoice and warranty info out to you. We will send it out right away. I tried to reach out to you by phone a few days ago because I would really like to address any problems, and make sure you are satisfied with our service. I do acknowledge there were some issues after your install and there's no excuse for that. The truth is we try very hard to do a perfect job every time, but there will always be a very small percentage of jobs that cause issues for any company, in any trade, whether it be from unforeseen conditions, human error, etc. I feel we were fair in our service, though. The first time it malfunctioned was about 1 1/2 years after install, which is outside of the standard 1 year warranty, but we did fix it a no cost since the technician thought it could have been an issue with the original install. The most recent time it broke was about 2 1/2 years after the install. My technician did offer a lifetime warranty parts package at our normal price of $588 which would be a permanent fix, but called me when he found out the door was relatively new and we took it down to $388. I thought that was fair considering it was only $89 more than we charge for a lifetime warranty parts upgrade on a brand new door. I do not like leaving any customer unsatisfied ,though, so please contact me at your earliest convenience and we can talk about your experience and work something out. Thanks for your feedback... I hope to hear from you soon! Sincerely, Steve Van Dam
