Precision Garage Door

I'm glad I did this with Precision. When he arrived, the service tech, Collin Butterfield, suggested that the opener model I had purchased through Angie's list, 1/2 HP rated, might not be powerful enough due to weight of the insulation I had added to the garage door. He upgraded me to a 3/4 HP model with the same features at no extra cost! He identified several needed adjustments and made them at no extra cost. I've got a smooth, quiet opening garage door now, with outside access key pad and two openers. I am more than pleased with the Angie's List offer I responded to, and the fast, professional Precision response. All this a few days before Christmas in very cold weather.

Maintenance in garage door system.

This worked out just fine. The technician was very friendly and professional. They also showed up within the timeframe set. Scheduling the appointment was very quick and easy. They actually came out within a day after purchasing the deal. I have had no issues with the door since they did the work.

This worked out pretty good. We chose the roller replacement. The technician was great. I had no issues with his service. The noise from the garage was reduced greatly. About after a month, the noise started coming back. The noise has been coming but not as bad as it was. There was a problem with scheduling through the Angie’s List website and theirs, which is why I called them to schedule. It was no big deal though. Overall, the service was great.

It worked out fine. The service was fine. I didn't have any problems with them. They came right out and did it. I was pleased. I had no problems with the provider.

Great! He was very professional and took the time to understand my expectations, as well as to explain what he would be doing, before starting work. The work was clean and effective (everything works). He even replaced a light bulb in my door opener.

Colin was the installer and he did a fine, professional job. However, he sold me a keyless entry pad that does not work. I have tried calling the company several times about this but have always gotten a busy signal, so in the end I am less than satisfied with the work. Also, the tune-up I paid for was nothing more than spraying some lubricant on the hinges. Nothing was done to the rollers. Also, I did not get the right remotes because the box did not have any in it. Colin gave me a couple that he had in the truck, but for $400 I would prefer to have had news ones that went with the device I purchased. I could have by-passed the "big-deal" and saved myself some money.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out fine.

Service was good and quick - no problem there. However, it cost $248 to replace 12 rollers, which took only 20 minutes. And that was with the service fee waived. I understand charging a full hour of labor ($68). But they charged $15 each for the rollers, which you can buy for approximately $2.50 each at many places online (and maybe locally, too - I didn't check). That seems like a very steep markup. According to the tech, what I paid is almost half of what I would have paid for an entire new belt-drive opener. And he didn't even give me that option (in case I would have considered it) until after he had performed the repair.

I got the door roller replacement. I'm apparently among the many who don't do annual maintenance on their garage doors. After years without TLC, the door made lots of noise when opening/closing. With the new nylon-coated rollers it hardly makes a sound. The service was done on time, very professionally (despite obstacles in a messy garage), and was finished in an hour or so. I was also able to get an assessment of the need for any future maintenance, as well as recommendations regarding what I should be doing annually myself. Good experience and very cost effective. Highly recommended.

Tuned-up garage door and replaced metal rollers with rubber ones. Door is quieter now during opening/closing. Very nice tech did the work. Pleased and will use again!

We have just moved into this home and knew it was probably the original door. No pressure tactics. Very professional and punctual with phone call ahead.

I was very pleased with the product and the high level of professionalism! I had the keypad installed as the Big Deal. It seems of good quality and my serviceman,Cole, pointed out problems with the door rollers. He did Not pressure me but did show me exactly what he was talking about. My garage door system is21 yrs. old so I did purchase the rollers. Since I got the Big Deal, I also got a lower price for those! I would most definitely use Precision Door again!

The springs on our cheap, builder grade system broke and the door opener was loud & over 10 years old. Brent was our technician and he was awesome! Friendly, professional and very helpful. He arrived on time and completed the work immediately even though it took 3 hours. The door runs so smoothly and quietly now that you can barely hear it! I will definitely recommend Precision to all of our friends.

Brent called and was available a bit early and asked if he could come early. He was very complete in his explanation of my old system and did an inspection of the door and replaced the old creaky rollers. Now it goes up so much easier and quieter. The neighbors use to know when I was leaving! He was very professional.

The company employee 'Randy' arrived on time. I opened the garage door prior to his arrival for his convenience. Randy asked me a few questions in regards to the current lifter system and if we had any prior problems or questions. I originally requested that the metal rollers be replaced with their nylon so he replaced the metal rollers with nylon rollers and said that they will cut down on the noise. Also, he noted that the springs for the lifter were not made for a double door and suggested that he put on the right size springs to lessen the stess on the cables and longer life for the lift motor. I agreed so he immediately went to work to replace the old springs, inspected the entire door, lubricabed the cables and tracks and placed a sticker on the door for future reference. He also suggested we purchase a syntheric spray vice 'other' sprays to keep the tracks free. This entire experience was wonderful and the price was great. Door is working smoothly now. One fault - they said they would get back with me about where I could get a replacement weather strip for the bottom of the door as they did not have one on the truck. I never got the information.

Collin, the technician, called me to ask if I wanted him to come early as an appointment had canceled. I had him come on out. Collin was very nice, respectful, and responsive to my questions. He verified what I needed done and looked at the door and the buckling problem. Turns out the door is not in the best of shape. A few hinges required replacement as well as installation of a strut (metal bar across the back of the door) to prevent the door from buckling. The work itself took about an hour. Collin showed me exactly what the problems with the door were and how he repaired them. He also rebalanced the door. All of the work done to the door will extend its life and save us $750 on installation of a new door.
