I have used 8 or 9 moving crews with various companies in the last three years as we moved to Louisville and kept moving furniture around in our four story home. The crew from Margaret's moving company that came last weekend were the best I have ever had! They took seriously the need to communicate with each other to avoid bumping furniture into walls and ceilings, and for the first time ever, there were no nicks or scrapes! They did not have to take a smoking break every ten minutes, or talk to someone on their cell phone, etc. They followed directions and did not rush to put things where I did not want them. I could go on with past nightmares, but those of you experienced with movers know what I mean. Finally a pleasant experience! Thanks Margaret!

It was awful. I would never hire this company again. Margaret's husband claimed that a competitor called the police on them and was simply trying to cause trouble. He also claimed that they were constantly persecuted due to being a minority owned company. The only good thing about the move was that they didn't charge us due to the complete fiasco of the move. Don't hire this company. They claim to have won awards, but I don't know who would have awarded them. There are other companies in Louisville that are much better!

The service was good, they were friendly. There were a couple of damaged items. They have a damaged goods coverage, it's a certain amount of money per pound but we had a damaged crib that was not fully covered. Other than that they were good.

The experience was pretty good but not as good as I have had with others. There was a conflict with what was due and how the payment was going to be made when they were done with the job and we were getting ready to pay them. I was going to give them a check and they told me that I had to have cash. I went with someone else the next time I moved because of that. They were not as professional as some other companies I have used. There was a difference in the price quoted and what I was going to pay and how the payment was to be made. I probably would not recommend them.

They were the best estimate compared to the others. They were quick and very accommodating to my schedule. They didn't damage any of our belongings. They were very courteous. I would definitely use them again. It was a great experience!

GREAT experience! My ONLY complaint, however small, is that they arrived maybe 15 minutes later than the "8:00 a.m.- 8:30 a.m." scheduled window. That is a very small complaint, and we do live about 20 minutes north of the Oldham/Jefferson County line. No damage to any items, I haven't even seen a scratch on anything. Even our older-style 51" big-screen (7 years old, a nice HDTV but still a modified rear-projection about 30 inches deep, and HEAVY!) survived undamaged, works perfectly. Then even got it down into the basement for us, no problem. The three movers were courteous, polite, and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised to see, on the bill, where there was a total of 45 minutes of breaks taken by the movers, that we weren't charged for. I can't say enough good things! We used movers once before, and while we didn't have any huge problems with them, the last company was so unimpressive that I don't even remember who they were.

Overall it was a terrible experience. They were late, I did not receive a phone call that they would be late. They got lost and couldn't find my new place. My son and I helped them move things into the new place just so we could get finished moving. Would not recommend this company.

PURELY UNPROFESSIONAL. We scheduled the move about 4 weeks in advance, but they gave no pre-move inspection. The "3 men and a truck" they sent was a misnoemer -- the 3rd man simply did paperwork & made secretive phone calls with Margaret on strategies to charge more. None of the 3 men sent were up to the task or as strong as the expectation for movers. As a result, they were inept in moving large items around tight corners--they moved a mattress & box spring before leaving. When the 3rd man had us sign their paperwork the day of the move, he refused to give us a copy upon signature. Then walked away with borh original signature documents. Then after I requested those back to destroy, Margaret refused to send me both copies marked VOIDED, and sent me back only one with copy marked VOIDED, so we still don't know what the other copy says. So far Margaret has not charged us for the move, and said she would not. This company did not charge us when we refused to sign their addendums to increase price & waive liability. Although they did not charge us, by not performing as scheduled, and walking away from the job, they lost us truck rental and unpacking time and risked us to not be able to schedule other movers with the truck's clock ticking. They acted as if they had us over a barrell by such antics. SUGGESTION: If you hire them, get ALL the paperwork done in advance, with signatures of the owners, ask for resume's of EACH man to be sent, AND have a pre-move inspection and FIRM quote on SPECIFIC ITEMS, and ask the maximum time they will take to do the job. And then DO NOT use as your contract award criteria the number of men versus their price (average price per man) because we saw 2 men lift an item without equipment what Margaret's 3 men said they had to

They were nonstop and they were there all the time. They really hustled. I was very happy with them and they damaged couple of things and they only showed me some things and said to reduce the price. They did some scratches but they were friendly. They were very nice and really good heart people. They are trustworthy. They also came back and I would recommend them. They showed up on time and they worked hard and they didn’t show me all the scratches and also there were scratches on the wall. I would use them again in the future.

See comments above. There failure to come out and view the situation left us unimpressed with their professionalism. They did not have a call what the move entailed.

The move was a great experience even though we had more"stuff" than they had planned. They didn't stop until the job was done and made many trips up and down the stairs. They were a great bunch of guys and a pleasure to deal with.

First and foremost dealing with MM was great. We did a quick phone estimate which came in 12.00 per hour less than that of two other local movers. So I booked it. They showed up Sunday, prompt and knew their business. Very professional guy by the name "Von" packed my stuff and as far I have seen so far not a thing was broken. What was even better they knocked the whole move out in less than four hours! I tipped the guys and I'm certain I'll see them again. I highly recommend giving MM a shot on your next move!

Excellent contact in advance, friendly and professional personnel on day of move. Care was taken to avoid damage to both our things and our home(s). One set of shelves went missing, but they found and brought them punctually as soon as they were found about 2 days after the move. I didn't want to use movers from several past horrible experiences, but my new wife had used and liked this company a year ago. Glad I listened to her.
