I called Lewis Door to schedule the "Tune up" ... a cheerful lady answered and quickly confirmed my location and coupon purchase. She set up the service for three days later. About 15 minutes prior to the agreed service time (8:30 - 9:00 am), I received a call from the service Technician (Shawn), informing me he was on his way. He arrived on time, and efficiently went about doing the tune-up. It should be noted that the service window was a half hour ... NOT a half day! Shawn completed the job in 20 to 30 minutes ... converting a loud, squeaky door into the quiet hum of a lift motor. He took the time to show me how to easily lubricate the system a couple times a year to keep it quiet.

We took advantage of the Angie's list offer to have our garage door inspected, rollers replaced, door lubricated and in general check things out. There was no problem making contact with the company. The person answering the phone was friendly, helpful and efficient. The appointment was quickly scheduled. The gentleman that came to perform the service called the day before to make sure the time still worked for us. He was punctual, professional and easy to deal with. He had no problem answering my questions regarding scenarios about what our future needs/problems might be with the door. The work was done as advertised, quickly and efficiently. We have an older garage door-when it comes to the end of it's life, I wouldn't hesitate to call this company back to replace it.

Serviceman Sean was neat and friendly and got straight to work. All rollers were replaced, the main spring was adjusted, and all bolts and screws were checked and replaced if necessary. Before leaving, he pointed out one structural problem that was beginning to form on the side of the door. He also was able to explain to me the usefulness and probably lifetime of the door I have. I must say that the service scheduler was very professional. I was able to book my appointment within 24 hours of my call.

Called Lewis Door Service and scheduled the repair for the next day. The technician showed up on time, replaced rollers, aligned rails, tightened everything, lubricated everything and had the door operating better than it ever had. I knew my opener was marginal and asked about a replacement. The serviceman quoted me a price that seamed reasonable and about a half hour later another technician showed up to install the opener. It took him a little over an hour to do the installation, check it out and remove the old opener. Both technicians were very friendly and competent; they performed what i feel is excellent work. I would willingly recommend them to anyone needing garage door repair.

They came and did what they said they were going to do. It worked, and I had one follow-up service call. They were quick in responding to that and took care of it.

Our garage doors look and work great. We are getting ready to have them replace the entry door in the garage. My husband will only use Lewis Doors because of our past experience. We keep their business card on our garage wall.

I called to use my Angie's List coupon, and they were able to send out a tech that day...in fact in a couple of hours. What? Yep. Got here on time. Did the work in a very timely manner. I don't believe we ever had the doors worked on since they were installed, so the doors were definitely due. I was (am) so pleased with the outcome. The doors open and close so much quieter and smoother now, no jerking and rattling anymore. Yay! Sean (the tech) was so nice. Just a great experience all around.

I had contacted Lewis Door Service to come out and replace the rollers in my existing door and to do a maintenance check. This was part of an Angie's List Deal of the Day. When Sean came out he did replace the rollers and do general servicing on the door. He had shown up exactly on time and was efficient in his work. As he was leaving I asked him if he noted anything in particular about my door. He told me that I should watch my door because it was bent in two sections and that it would probably have to be replaced in a year or two. The door is 16 years old and this concerned me. I decided then that if the door was going to have to be replaced in a year or two that I might just as well replace it now. So I talked to Sean about replacing the door with a better one. He wasvery knowledgable in the different types of doors available, their R value rating, door openers, etc. I made arrangements to have the door installed the very next day. The installer Jon C. was also prompt in showing up and did an excellent job installing the door, cleaning up as he went along. When finished he showed me how to work the opener, made sure the door worked correctly etc. He was friendly and very professional. I was thrilled with the whole experience and with the kindness of this business. They are definitely "customer friendly" and will go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you..

Service technician was available to service our garage door within one hour of phone call to office. Technician was knowledgeable and friendly and pointed out things we could do (i.e. lubricating parts/adjusting sensor eyes) in between service calls. Very pleased with this company and the service we received. Would highly recommend.

Very good work. The estimate was very quick and easy and the work went exactly as stated.

The representative came out within a week of calling for an estimate. He was very knowledgeable about his products and the installation. His estimate was in line with other estimates we had received. We chose a door that was a special order that had a 2-3 week delivery. Lewis Door received the new door in 2 weeks and were able to schedule the installation the following day. The installer arrived on time and installed the door, reconnected the garage door opener, and completely cleaned up all the debris. It has worked beautifully ever since.

It went as well as it could with the structure in place

One torsion spring on my garage door broke Monday night. I called around for several estimates on a two-spring replacement (recommended when one breaks), and all estimates were within $5 of each other. Was unexpectedly home from work Thursday, and called early in the morning to schedule an appointment. They told me the could definitely do it same day, probably before lunch. Unfortunately, the technician was held up by a previous job and didn't arrive until about 3:00 (my only complaint, and a minor one at that). However, the technician was professional, knowledgable, and had my door repaired in under an hour. He also inspected the rest of the system, noted that my gearbox was wearing out (estimated about a year of life left), and gave me prices and options to think about when that time comes. His recommnedation, due to the house wrapping around the garage was a belt driven opener and a "quiet kit" (nylon rollers on the door) to reduce garage door noise within the house. I came away from the experience very impressed, and will definitely be calling Lewis Door Service for any garage door service needs in the future.

I had a garage door spring break on a rental property and called Lewis after looking on Angies list. They were efficient about collecting the tenant contact information, quoted a no-games, tax-included price on the phone and gave me an option of replacing one spring or both (I chose both). They sent someone right out and within a few hours the springs were replaced. My tenants were happy and I paid with a credit card after the job was done. I didn't even have to leave my chair so no hassle at all.

They were personable and responsive. They were timely, clean and articulate. They were well-spoken and punctual. Their price was competitive compared to the other service providers from whom I got the quotes. The quality was very good. I would use their services again in the future.

They were friendly on the phone and had someone out to my house within a couple hours (on a Tuesday). The repairman (Frank) did a great job of explaining everything that was going on and fixing and tweaking everything until it was just right. It's working great now and I have a better understanding of how it works, what to look for when there are problems, and some things I can do myself to keep it working well.

WE PRICED THREE DIFFERENT COMPANIES, AND THEY HAD THE BEST PRICES. THEY WERE LOCATED CLOSE TO WHERE WE LIVE, AND THAT MADE IT CONVENIENT. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS TO US.

THE PRICE FOR THE SERVICE WAS REASONABLE. THEY WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, AND DID THE WORK PROMPTLY. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTALLATION OR THE PRODUCT ITSELF.

IT JUST HAPPENED TO BE THE SAME COMPANY THAT INSTALLED THE DOOR WHEN THE HOME WAS BUILT. THEIR TAG WAS ON THERE AND THAT'S WHY I GAVE THEM A CALL. THAT WAS ALL, I THINK IT WAS ABOVE BOARD BUT I WAS SATISFIED WITH IT.
