They sent a guy out to hook up a bathtub. It was going to be two men to hook up a bathtub for two days. Do you think it would take two days to hook up a bathtub, if it was already in the house? It was going to be close to $3,000, well over $2,000 to do that. I know that cannot be right. They sent somebody and I'm telling you, it's unbelievable. If they were bringing the tub in...They put a bathroom in my house and I know what that cost me. They are a big organization. This guy went outside, called somebody, came back in. My son said all he wanted him to do was hook up the tub and that's what he said. This was at my son's house. This was a Christmas present for my son. All the things in bathroom cost that, what this guy wanted. And he said two days for two men to come in and put the tub in. There is something not kosher with that company for them to do that. He didn't ask him to run a pipe or anything like that. He asked him to hook up a tub. Period. And it was going to be a two day job. They were having a special that they were offering, which is what prompted me to call them. It just didn't set right with me, the whole thing dealing with these people. I just wanted somebody to know this. To me, that was just not very professional. A plumber works by the hour. Whether it's $100-$200 an hour, that's what they work by. To hook that up? No. He didn't ask him to do the walling, he just asked him to install a tub and that was his price and two days to do that. I put in a whole bathroom for $6000 myself - they brought everything in and put it together. No. That's why I knew that was a crazy, absurd amount of money. And the man didn't know himself. He went out to the driveway. Maybe he didn't tell them correctly. I don't have any idea. But we spent our time waiting for him to come, to hear that. That's what we got. They came when they said. They were there and called. I'm going to give them credit, where credit is due. Just thinking you can get something done, you know pay somebody by the hour. You know not everyone wants to pay someone to do their whole bathroom and their suppose to be plumbers. They do all kinds of work. That's what they say. That's what their ad says. So, that's my point, I didn't understand this at all.

Excellent and very professionally done

The service person arrived on time and was very personable. He seemed to take his time to do a good job. He answered a few questions I had and I sined an annual service agreement. According to the agreement you are given presence ahead of other callers if there is a problem. He further warned me that they had so many customers that unless I scheduled my next service months in advance it could take quite a while for service to be scheduled. Shortly after the serviceman left I became aware the furnace would not shut off automatically. I had to turn the unit completely off. When I reported the issue to their service representative I was told even though the had just been out would not receive a return visit until the middle of the following week! I scheduled another company to come take a look and fix the issued. There were several things overlooked or not set appropriately. I contacted Jarboe to cancel the maintenance agreement and asked for a refund. I agreed to a partial refund even though I felt it should have been a full refund. It is now a month later, no refund, no return calls

The guy was very professional, seem to be very honest. In the process of evaluating the problem he have some people that will look at the kitchen or the plumbing situation and that process is what else can I do to increase the price of whatever and this guy was upfront and was saying that hey this is what the situation is you know we can fix it this way and it was grease trap in the line is what it boil down to and because of that it was matter saying that hey it's gonna happen and it's just something you have to deal with and you can try to keep it out as much as you can but it'f just not possible to do so I felt that by him being honest and upfront about it, being truthful about it or what I felt to be truthful was something that you can kind of hang your hat on.

Good service! I have not one bad thing occur. They show up when they are supposed to. Done good work. Very courteous and clean up their mess when they are done.

Was up sold a maintenance plan however no follow up on scheduled visits. Unit has crashed multiple times in between 1 single visit. Repairmen promised to return for additional work and has not returned or called.

I attempted to make an appointment with this company several times, but due to their scheduling circumstances, they were unable to keep them.

It went pretty well. The repairs worked. Only negative was I felt like I was pushed into buying a mold reducer that fit in my furnace and was supposed to have a great and noticeable impact on our air quality. Upon further research I found that such tools don't really work and I''m out $600. Not sure if I'd hire them again or not.

Jarboe is the owner and he is a really good hearted person that tries hard.

Technician was very helpful and recommended where it was, and more importantly where it was not, a good idea to perform additional maintenance.

The job went relatively well. He was very nice and courteous. My complaint is not at all with the technician but the communication level of who I talk to on the phone about the service I am getting and what the technician actually comes out to complete. As far as the work, the technician seemed to know what he was doing and answered all my questions.

The gentleman that came out has done other work for me in the past, and what he did was excellent. It was the best, most thorough HVAC inspection I've ever received.

Jarboe's wanted $1500 to disassemble the unit, clean it, and reinstall. We had two second opinions that did the job for $200 - 299 by cleaning it in place without disassembly. In hindsight, Jarboe's was trying to upsell us on an entire replacement of a three year old system that just needed a wire brush scrubbing.

We saw the coupon in our Angie's List booklet for either a free plumbing service call or $ 93 sewer drain cleaning. Our kitchen sink drain was clogged so we thought we would give Jarboe's a try. They arrived when they said they would. Took the serviceman about 20 minutes to unclog our drain. Our bill was 309.00! That included a "FREE" service call. We felt we were over charged. We will definitely not ever call Jarboe's again. We would warn you about using their coupon. It is misleading in what your final cost will be. In the future we will try Roto Rooter, or any other plumbing company, just not Jarboe's!

I purchased a tune-up Big Deal on Angie's List, and they called and scheduled an appointment for a few weeks later. Mike arrived and was very courteous and helpful in explaining everything, and talked me through their 1 year 2 visit agreement and its benefits. I wound up signing up for that as well. He checked everything on the system and as it was only one year old found no issues (as expected!). Overall a job well done and his friendliness was great - recommend them for this.

I called Jarboe for plumbing service of a rental house. Jarboe had my credit card number on file. I asked that an invoice be sent to my address, and they had my address on file. The tenant had complained that there was a problem with the sink in the kitchen. I had used Jarboe a time or two before with no apparent problem. The service man came in a timely manner and phoned me to tell me that the faucet would have to be replaced. He did not tell me the cost at that time or indicate that the job was of a serious nature. A charge of $449 appeared on my account. I had not received a copy of the invoice or job report as I had requested, and the tenant told me that he was not given a receipt either. I called Jarboe and could not get through to a person at all. I attempted to call several more times and could never get through. Once I left my name and number and was told someone would call me back promptly, and no one did. Again I called and got a person on the phone, gave her my name and told her I was calling with questions about my bill, and that no one had returned my call previously. She asked for my number and assured me that a person would call me back. I told her I would prefer to hold but she said that I couldn't talk to anyone but promised a return call. No one ever called back. Jarboe does not want to talk to me about this charge. Something is very wrong here. Avoid this company- to say they are unprofessional is an understatement. There are names for such a company, but I won't use them here.

I made an appointment with the courteous phone rep for the above special services and informed her of the special rate coupon I had. I live in southern Indiana, well within the service map that Jarboe's displays on their home page website. The rep took my information and we arranged for service the following day. About an hour later the rep called back to say that my address was outside the service area. I did not question why their service map showed otherwise. My guess is that the coupon deal was too good to be true and they didn't want to provide that service for $93.00.

We liked them. They did a fine job. They were on time. They were clean, respectful and did a wonderful job.We had a heating issue in the depths of the winter months and they were here on a Friday night at 8o'clock when our heat went out in February. I attest to how customer oriented they are.

Jarboe's folks installed the air conditioning unit and furnace in one day (our old system was struck by lightning!) and came back several months later (at short notice on my part) when our new living room was completed (we were in the process of adding it when lightning struck) and needed heat and air ducts. I was worried that the new room would be cold in the winter. It's not and I'm very relieved! I think the furnace was a good price (about $7,000) and the ductwork was a little high ($700) but overall, I was happy with the price and their customer service was great. I called them several times and they were always very responsive and professional.

Jacob was the plumber who did the work. He gave me an estimate last month when he did my plumbing inspection and went over everything he recommended so I could understand. He installed a new toilet to replace my old one that was probably 50 years old. He also installed a cut-off valve to my house and was quick and cleaned up after the installation was complete. I am doing many updates to my old house and have other work to be done as I get to it and will get him to do it.

We've used Jarboe's numerous times, and everything always goes well with them. They respond quickly when we call to schedule, their technicians are personable and professional, and they're always happy to answer any questions that I have. The outlet is working just fine, too.

Nice guy, showed up as promised. Said my unit didn't need charging, cleaned the unit and took 49.99 coupon and charged another $100 approx. for "trouble shooting". My a/c never cooled my house and my utility billed tripled for two months. Then I had my usual guy come over and check. A/C needed 2 lbs of Freon. My utility bills went down immediately to usual. Cooled my home down immediately. OVERPRICED, DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE SITUATION. I PAID FOR WHAT??????

We were so happy we picked this company. They provided us with great choices and we are cool now unlike before

Last week the blower for the furnace/AC started making a terrible noise. I contacted Jarboe's for repair and Jeff told me the heat exchanger had rusted and was rattling. Not the kind of thing you just patch for safety reasons, so the next day Jack Ostertag, came out to talk about our needs for a new unit. He and his brother, Paul (once owners of Zipper Heating and Air) installed our old units 17 years ago. Over the years we had kept the annual maintenance agreement with them for spring and fall clean and check. It was a no brainer to continue with them as we've always had wonderful service. So much so that I didn't even bother getting other estimates. Jack was great in wanting to understand the main concerns beyond heat and air. In our case, noise had always been a factor because our furnace in located on the first floor. He told me about a unit that would fit the bill perfectly and also had an insulated box made for it to sit on to help absorb noise. We then talked about the AC needs. Again, noise was an issue as well as our desire to place the new unit farther away from our patio. He suggested splitting the difference by going with a less quiet model and using the savings to relocate the unit to the side of the house. Made all kinds of sense to me and I appreciated his thoughts on this. 3 days later on our designated installation date, I received a call from the installer, Chris saying they were on their way. They arrived on time and spent the entire day quietly working away to get everything in place. In spite of 3 different storms, they worked on only stopping during one downpour to eat lunch in their truck. After both were installed and everything was cleaned up, Chris explained the new thermostat, gave me all the paperwork and had me sign the completion form. I'm really happy with everything they did from start to finish. An added plus to this was stated in a thank you note to Jack this morning saying the new fan runs so quietly that I actually thought it wasn't on ! In addition, I had worried about the new AC unit standing out like a sore thumb on the side of our house (imagining something shiny and light colored, I guess), but it is a beautiful and 'magically disappearing' charcoal color that's hardly noticeable. That was the icing on the cake for me !
