Todd was very responsive, he made an effort to get over and look at the yard as soon as he could. He met with me and reviewed some of the work he had done on other projects and he offered some very good suggestions relative to my project. He planned on planting some grass on a strip of land between the sidewalk and street, replacing some bushes, moving some plants and adding some more plants, shrubs, and flowers. He was very willing and capable of applying his expertise and experience and he was flexible in that he saved some plants that I have come to value. He kept me informed as to the status of the work and got it done in a timely manner exceeding my expectations in all areas related to the project.

I want to thank Mr. Hancock and his crew for the outstanding job on my new padio and water feature for the back yard. He worked closely with me to make sure that I understood the idea's for the area and he stayed in budget. My lost corner in my back yard has never looked so great. We had no idea how beautiful and relaxing the padio area could be. Thank you for the hard work you did at our home, we are getting a lot of compliments on your work. Overall the project went well. During the planting the guys accidently cut through our cable line. Todd was very apologetic and placed a call to the cable company to rush the repair. Everything looked beautiful. A month later, for no apparent reason four bushes died. Todd replaced them with no additional fee. A month later four of those died as well. We called Todd and agreed on a different kind of bush for that area. He pulled all of the troubled bushes and replaced them with new ones that we decided to go with. Again, he did this for no additional fee and we were pleased. Those new bushes seem to be doing very well.

I researched landscaping companies thoroughly because this was my FIRST time using one. Because of Hancock's good ratings on Angie's List and good word-of-mouth recommendations I called them for an estimate. Todd Hancock came to my home, working around my schedule, during the weekend. He surveyed the area, took note of shading and soil and listened to what we wanted. I told him we wanted landscape plantings that were symmetrically appealing and would produce various colors throughout the year. Because the area was MY FRONT YARD I was very concerned about how it would look. Todd came back the next week with a plan he was excited about and pictures to help me see how it would look when finished. The pictures really helped as I am not that familiar with names of plants, bushes, trees, etc. His price was fantastic and honest. He knows his stuff and does not try to shortcut or overcharge! After we signed the contract, his guys came out the next week to prep the area. They were fast, neat and efficient. The next Tuesday he came out himself to deliver the plants and the planting got under way. I left the house that morning with an area filled with dirt and came home to a beautifully planted landscape with 25 various bushes/plants and two landscaping trees. Everything planted was healthy and of great quality. It was like something on HGTV - absolutely beautiful and perfect!!!! Todd KNOWS HIS LANDSCAPING! I knew what I wanted, I just didn't know how to get there - Todd understood what I described completely and delivered perfectly! He and his team are very professional, fast, and reasonably priced. I have recommended them to many friends and relatives. I can't wait to use them again for my backyard in the spring!

Never had a chance to get the job completed...

Todd Hancock is a true professional. Takes time to understand your needs and recommend a landscape to fit it. He presents his proposals very professionally as well, explaining the types of plants, how they perform in sun/shade, and what they look like. When the initial proposal came back a bit higher than we wanted to spend, he worked with us to adjust the plan. The work was done professionally and courteously. The crew took care to clean up after themselves and paid attention to little details that weren't discussed to ensure everything looked great, like grass seeding around a drainage area, adding a cap on the retaining wall and tuckpointing around the driveway where the wall met the driveway. Even worked extra hard to get everything looking good when they heard the neighbors were having a party the next day! Would highly recommend Hancock Landscaping!

Todd was extremely nice and professional. He was willing to work with us on the design and price. He spent over an hour presenting his landscape design to us, showing us pictures of each plant and answering any question we had. We we extremely impressed with his knowledge and expertise.

I chose this company because it is listed as environment-friendly. Definitions vary i guess -- all of the plants the owner suggested planting were non-natives, and a number were invasives. I figured I am looking for something different than what he does. That said, he was quick to return my calls, arrived when he said he would for the estimate, for which he did not charge me. He had concrete, clear suggestions about what he would change and clearly is enthusiastic about the business. If I were starting with a clean slate and didn't have plantings I wanted to keep, and if I were interested only in the look rather than also in the fit to the local ecology I would have used him.

The entire process working with Todd was smooth and reassuring. After reading other reviews on Angie’s List I called to set up a first meeting. Todd came out and took pictures of the site and discussed my wishes for the project. In a little over a week, Todd returned with a detailed quote including images of each plant he suggested so I completely understood the plan. Work began on this project well before the anticipated timeline and was completed in 3 days! After removal of the original bushes, Todd determined that one area in the original plan would have been too cramped after a few years of growth. I decided to trust his expertise with altering the plan on the spot and it was definitely a good decision; I am thrilled with the final results!

Todd was punctual each time we met (probably a couple minutes early!). He was courteous and professional. He met with me to discuss my needs. He created a landscape plan which he reviewed with me in detail. He had pictures of all the plants he was proposing to use and many before/after shots of other landscape projects he had done. He kept me informed and updated during the entire process from estimate to actual installation. He and his crew completed the landscaping while I was at work. I had no reservations about not being arround while the work was completed. His team cleaned up everything before they left and the new landscaping looks beautiful!

I can't say enough about how easy Todd was to work with. I had no idea what I wanted to do to my landscape, but Todd did a fabulous job designing something for me. When he proposed his design, he had pictures available so I could see exactly what he had planned. He was knowledgeable about the plants he used and answered any questions I had, explaining why certain products would or would not work well in specific locations. When we met to mark off the landscape I asked him to make a few adjustments and he was happy to take care of them. He came out when he promised, finished the work quickly and cleaned up everything before leaving. I have already referred my neighbors to him, and plan to use him to design and install something for my back yard as well.

I had a large deck built in my back yard with a hot tub installed also. It is nice but it was missing something. I was looking for some attractive planting to go around the deck to set it off. I got 3 different estimates. Although 2 of the 3 plans appealed to me, Hancock's plan stood out as something I really liked. His plan gave me the best visual idea of what it would look like. Although my budget was tight, their plan was reasonably priced. The crew showed up when they said they would and the job was finished in a timely manner. I was also impressed with their detail to cleaning up and keeping the area neat. I got a lot of bang for my buck. I would highly recommend and will use them again.

I contacted Mr. Hancock and other landscaping companies to get ideas and quotes for new landscaping. Mr. Hancock came to my home and talked with me to get an idea of what I had in mine and my budget. He returned in a few days with colored drawings, snapshots of plants he proposed to use, and a typed quote for materials and labor. After reviewing his quote and plans, and comparing them with the other companies I requested quotes from, I selected Hancock Landscape. Mr. Hancock and his crew showed up on time on the days he indicated the work would be done. Each day, the yard was cleared of garbage and debris. The job was completed on time and right on budget. Everything was exactly as shown in his drawings. I am very pleased with the quality of work, his professionalism, the beauty of my yard, and the reasonable price. Since the original job, which was my backyard only, I have had Hancock Landscape return every year to do additional work, including landscaping my front yard, side yard, and maintaining the garden areas in both the front and back. Every time, the work has been done in a professional manner, at a reasonable cost, and has added much beauty and enjoyment to my home.

Todd and his team put in all new landscaping around the front of the house and it looks wonderful. I wish I had done it a long time ago. First he drew up a great plan that met my budget perfectly. Then, all in one day he removed all the old plants and cedar bushes (I can't believe he got all those roots) and put in the new and it has totally transformed my home. Todd and his crew were kind and polite. I highly recommend them and I will use them again for the back.
