Brian Grech was on time for his appointment, and very professional. I had him come over because when we bought our house last year we were told by our inspector to have a professional to look at our fireplace mortar and I may need it swept as well. When Mr. Grech came by to inspect our chimney he looked over everything, and told me I didn't have any issues at all. He also told me that if he swept my chimeny he would just be taking my money. "There is no need for it right now." I was so impressed by his honesty. He even took the time to give me safety advice. If I do ever need chimney work, I can guarantee I will call this gentleman again and have him do the work. I highly recommend this company!!

He called a couple of times and said he had not forgotten me and then I never heard from him again. I have used him in the past and I was pleased with his work. I do not know what happened in this case.

It was the first time I had used them. I was very impressed. They were very good. They came on time and were really nice.

Since I'm in the military he didn't charge us anything for him to make the trip down despite the fact that we lived out of his way. He was honest and upfront with us.

We had been ignoring the brick chips that would litter the driveway for years. Chips became chunks and I finally found Grech Brothers on Angie's list.. He charged us about half of what we expected to pay to rebuild the chimney from the roof up, even found bricks that were more than acceptably similar to the very odd originals. Overall great job.

It was very professionally done. He took the time to explain everything to me. I actually thought the price was going to be more. I had somebody else tell me that he thought the chimney would have to be torn down and I thought that was expensive. He told me it just needed to be tuck pointed and waterproofed and that was what he did.

They were here for a couple of hours and did a great job (as far as I know). They had previously rebuilt my chimney so I knew they were a good contractor. Their pricing is pretty good but you really can't complain given the quality of the work.

I was concerned about interior water damage through my chimney. First estimate from an "unnamed" company, over $800, claimed a need to replace flashing, re-roof a section of a new roof, etc....all without getting up on the roof! Grech Brothers got up on the roof, looked at the interior water damage, examined the brick work and determined filling loose joints and coating with a waterproof sealant would do the trick. A year later, it is still doing the trick! Great experience. Grech Brothers are very personable, patient, thorough, competent, and easy to work with. They examined the situation, explained the problem, and offered a solution in understandable language. They even explained the "why" behind the choice of water sealant they use. When they noticed some joint damage expanding a bit beyond the chimney...they pointed it out and fixed it at no extra charge!

called to arrange an estimate based on angies list reviews, left message. Never heard back, called few weeks later, he said he tried to come and got lost. Arranged for estimate. when he came over, he took pictures, suggested work to be done, and said cost would be 750 dollars, never provided in writing. i called a few weeks later to have work done, he didnt call back after a few days I gave him a deadline to call about the job. He said found his notes and would be 875. Found another chimney repair person

I bought a 100 yr old house and the two chimneys were in a bit of disrepair. I called Grech and they came out and looked at the chimneys while I was at work. Then he called me while he was there and told me what was wrong and how much it would cost. Brian Grech came out as promised, performed the work, charged me what he said he would and then told me to call him if I had any more problems. He even waterproofed some of my other roof vents because he said he was "already up there and they needed it. " Then he said to call him if I needed any other repair work done because he had a lot of contacts and could recommend other people as well. It was refreshing that someone actually did what they said they would do and charged me what they said they would charge me. Brian was professional, courteous, well-mannered and very thorough. I would absolutely recommend Grech Brothers to anyone. I can't say enough good things about this company.

Both the date of service and price are very approximate, as I have reviewed my financial records and can't find the applicable details. The two guys who came to my home were very professional, arrived when promised, finished the job very quickly and efficiently, charged me a reasonable price and even repaired a leaking water heater vent stack at no extra charge. Whoever had installed this vent stack neglected to caulk the storm collar. I think it was one of the Grech's himself who fixed this problem for me, but he scaled the roof, sealed the storm collar and was done in less than five minutes, promising me "you'll never have rain water come in through that vent again." That was a few years back and so far, his repair has remained water tight. I had a very good experience dealing with this company and would definitely consider using them again should the need arise.

We had noticed that our creek stone porch needed some repair work. Called Grech Bros. They came by and did a verbal estimate a day after our call. We were initially impressed by the reasonableness of the estimate.We were told that we would be contacts when the work could be done. A few days later we are contacted again, an appointment was set up. The worker came promptly, did a terrific job, cleaned up well. Our charge was the same as the verbal estimate given.Very pleased.

The owner returned my call the same afternoon I left a voicemail. He came the next day to give an estimate. I was thrilled with his promptness. I had had a leak in my stone chimney for 12 years that had badly damaged the inside plaster in my living room. Two different chimney sweep outfits tried to fix it, but didn't. I had a cap put on top of chimney, which did not help. New flashing by a handyman did not work (no company would touch my roof since I have concrete tiles). I explained my problem to Mr. Grech and, after looking things over, he suggested I get my stone tuck pointed (I could see the holes in the 1927 stonework) and replace the pipe running up chimney from my hot water heater. His estimate was a little over $1,000. We set up a time to do the work. When he started the job, he discovered that the pipe from the water heater did not need to be replaced after all, so he did not replace it. (I wouldn't have known the difference.) This saved me $200. He tuck pointed the entire stone chimney, then sealed it. He was concerned that there might still be a leak due to the sloppy flashing job, and told me to call him if there was because he had a couple of ideas of how to fix it. But he thought I should wait for a few downpours to see if the tuck pointing fixed the problem before I spent any more money. It has been 7 months and not a drop of rain water has leaked through our chimney! I'm finally feeling safe enough to get the plaster fixed for good. Obviously, Mr. Grech did not charge me as much as the initial bid. An added bonus was that he was extremely personable, professional, efficient, and someone I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

They did a very good job, and we were very pleased with them. They were excellent. He returned the phone call. He came by, saw me and talked to me. He explained what he could and when he could do it. He got the job done, and he was very neat and clean afterwards. I think his price was excellent for what he did.

They were very knowledgeable. They provided me good information with the most effective way to get the job done, which would not have included their services, which I was impressed by. They were quick to respond and were prompt as well.

Horrible-you should not have to call and leave 4 messages over the course of 3 weeks before the company "graces"you with a call back.

The Grech Brothers came out and asked what kind of problems and where the leak was. They went over the whole area looking for areas where the water could come in and made the necessary repairs. I am very happy with the work they performed.

Brian repaired my chimney late last year. He did such a good job that I asked him to return after the weather broke in the Spring of 2012 to work on our front porch. I called him in April to remind him of our agreement, told him to work me in as soon as he had time (I was not in a rush, I just didn't want him to forget). He called to arrange a time to estimate the job; came when agreed and gave me a fair quote for the job. He promised to call a couple days prior to doing the work., which he did. Arrived as promised on day one, power washed both porches and left them to dry over 24 hours. He and an assistant returned the next morning and efficiently completed the job as promised using a breathable waterproof sealer that left the pavers looking like new. The price agreed to did not anticipate repairs to the back porch, just clean and seal. Brian noticed there were repairs needed once the porch was cleaned and did the repairs for no extra cost without being asked. In fairness to Greck Brothers, the trouble I experienced getting the job quoted and scheduled was due to the untimely death of an employee right at the start of their busy season .... and the fact I told him I wasn't in a hurry .... I just wanted to be sure it got done by summer. They run a small but professional business that I would contract again, if needed.

They're very good and informative. It was easier this time because he had everything inspected the first time he was here. It was definitely a grade-A experience. It was less than I thought it would be. We haven't had any issues with the work he did the first time.

Job was done professionally and well.

Had a problem with the top of our chimney starting to crumble. Grech Brothers was very professional. Spent a lot of time answering our questions, very patient. Showed up when they said they would show up. Did the job faster than promised. Exceeded our expectations by doing more than what we thought. We didn't know the job included new flashing and new cap over the flue. He explained very clearly what he was doing and that it was for. He called later to make sure we were happy. He stopped by to pick up his check and once again, asked if we were satisfied. Our chimney looks as good as new! We would definitely use them again and will recommend them to others.

Water stains were on inside of house on the chimney. Grech recommended spraying because the problem was not severe enough for regrouting or rebuilding. Chimney was sprayed,and the problem resolved. I am happy with the results.

Grech Brothers did a good job on repairing our chimney. They did the work for a fraction of the cost of another estimate. There approach was less extensive, but it fixed a leak around our house chimney. They were on time, finished the work quickly, and on budget. I appreciated that they did not try to sell me an expensive solution, but came up with a cost effective approach to solving the problem.

Their services are excellent. They are very considerate about cleaning up after themselves and making sure there is no mess left. They're very quick about getting the job done.
