Description of Work: We called the GE repair service number (toll free) as listed on the model# plate fixed to the stove. All I accessed was an automated menue and went through it until I received the diagnostic charge of $79.95 and did not include service and parts. We later got a call from the local repairman who added that the total cost would be over $300.00 and did not include the parts. We decided that it was way too much to pay and could probably replace the unit for what the repairs would have been for the repair.

Description of Work: My front load GE washer round rubber cyclindrer blew...shredded.I am told my further research not to wash rugs,comforters, etc...my wife specialty. It blew out before we went on vacation. I wrote the model-serial etc. Called GE while away told them exactly what was wrong, they identified the part ( a boot), and scheduled the appointment for the day we returned. They called several times to confirm appt. The tech comes when he is suppose to. Looks in the washer and tells me I need a new boot. Well yeah...have to order you will need to reschedule,and yuo owe me $75.00 for todays visit. Did not have part with him quoted me a pricew in excess of $400 plus his visit. I threw him out ...paid him nothing ...terrible waste of time.

Description of Work: Set up service to repair washing machine, pre-paid for it and they never showed up. Next appt was 2 weeks later so we cancelled. Did get our refund but as a result we lost time we could have used in setting up another repair company

Description of Work: I inherited a GE refrigerator when I bought this house and although it is fairly new I had to call a repairman. The tech was pleasant and on time, but he tried to sell me an extended warranty from the moment he came in. I would just like the GE products to be made well and then I wouldn't have to waste my time and money with this nonsense. If it goes out again I will replace it.

Description of Work: The technician repaired our built-in microwave oven. It required a new magnetron. The technician arrived promptly and was exceptionally courteous and did a quick repair with a part from his truck. I was especially impressed with GE's online service appointment system. It allowed me to make the appointment for the next day after normal call in hours.

Description of Work: THEY CAME TO FIX MY OVEN. IT TOOK THEM A WEEK TO COME OUT AND THE NEXT WEEK IT WAS DOWN AGAIN. THE OVEN PART WITHIN WAS UNDER WARRANTY. THEY STATED THAT IT WOULD TAKE ANOTHER WEEK FOR THEM TO COME BACK OUT.

Description of Work: switch at a cost of $196.95 of my microwave. I refused the repair, because I did not think this was the problem. Ivan (tech # 0036) said I owed $39.93 plus $15.00 for diagnosis. I paid it, but something was not right. When he left, I found a loose red plug that connects to a mudule not making good contact. I fixed the problem without any parts. I feel I paid for nothing. My experience was a F. The only reason I had them come, was because they could come on Sat.
