They arrived promptly for initial estimate and showed up for actual scheduled installation date mid-morning. Everything seemed okay until the end which is detailed in the following list; 1. They connect the spray unit to your breaker box - they pull a breaker and clamp wires to make connection. They do not tell you they will do this nor ask if they can do it. They turned off all power to the house at first, so they randomly searched for a connection. Later, I found a breaker in the garbage that they had busted and replaced. Also, lights in middle floor flicked randomly after they had completed work - I traced it to a breaker than had not been properly seated, fixed it myself. 2. They trim the excess foam with a reciprocating saw (aka "saw all") - not sure why when those flexible hand saws are available and will cause less issues. The workers cut a wire to a receptacle in the middle of the wall. Apparently they tried to fix but decided to tell me when realized it was in the middle of the way - no slack to fix it properly. They collected their gear and pointed to cut wire and told me an electrician would arrive to fix. An hour or so later, two workers showed up to examine and fix the cut wire. They proceeded to attempt to reattach the wire with wing nuts in the MIDDLE OF THE WAY (which would be behind the finished drywall). They stopped the repair when I pointed out the problems and they then said they would run a wire from outlet on same wall, but I pointed out that the live wire (the cut one) would still be in the wall. They decided they could not fix and said electrician would show up. I had drywall scheduled for installation 2 days later - I reminded them all of this. Consequently, I had to get it fixed myself. A lady from the office finally called me a few days later saying she couldn't find an electrician at which time I told her I found one. 3. They left wide unfilled spaces around the windows and fireplace. I asked the workers about the spaces before they left (after they told me about cut wire) and I was told it was the way it was supposed to be - now, this is 2 inch openings at bottom of window and smaller around the frames and fireplace. I bought spray foam cans at Lowe's and filled in the missed areas. I never heard anymore from the company until a few weeks later when the initial salesman called about getting payment. First, they had never sent a bill, so not sure how they expected payment. Second, they never apologized or exhibited standard customer service empathy. The salesman casually asked about wire and then payment, I went through the list of problems and he said they could take $250 off the price. I asked him to send bill and he hung up - the bill arrived not too long after that via email (it seems they do some things correctly). My overall experience with Energy Savers has been horrendous. I had to get the electrical fixed on my own time for a problem they created (which involved removing more drywall and rewiring; I had to drive to store and get spray and do that part of their job as well; and the dealings with the electrical box are not comforting. Finally. I just found a heavy flow of cold air coming in one of the exterior walls they sprayed so I assume there is a gap that I couldn't see/find. Do yourself a favor and find another provider - avoid them.
Description of Work: Installed spray foam insulation in lower part of bi-level - open cell in top half of walls and crawlspace, closed cell in lower part of walls (had only an inch or so or depth to the cavity so regular insulation would not work).

My sister was at the house when the work done. She raved about how nice and professional they were. The job looked to have been done well. They matched the vinyl siding very well which had been there a while. We had been told by the estimator that our rooms would be more even temperature wise after this work was completed. To our surprise, we noticed this right away and have been benefitting from this, since the work was done. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to call on Energy Savers for any future work.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced vinyl siding of cantilever, which is the overhang part/side of my tri-level house. He then foam sprayed 2" to prevent the wind from coming in and penetrating the under part of the overhang. He blocked and sealed band joists in the attic as well as the attice floor. He installed some intake ventilation and exhaust ventilation. He was very honest in letting me know that I may not need some of the work that I had thought I did and had sought an estimate from him. I so appreciated that. Also, I was able to use a $50.00 coupon.

They were responsive. I didn't subscribe to their service. It was more money than what I wanted to spend, but they did fine. I did not spend more than what the deal was for. I think he was thorough and did a good job. Just for the kind of money that they wanted to do, I was not interested in.

If you are looking for a professional who is passionate about what they do, knows the details of what needs to be done, can thoroughly explain it to you, answer all your endless questions, offer alternatives and is eager to please - then you have found the right place - Energy Savers. I could not have been more pleased with everything. And, probably most important, was that he cared about the work. We definitely plan to use Energy Savers for some additional work and have no reservations recommending them to anyone and everybody.

I am deciding right now how much of the work to have done. They suggested things that I could do and/or should do to improve our safety and efficiency of our systems. Because they are able to supply that work, they were able to give me an estimate at that time as well. In the big deal it included a percentage off of any work that you would choose to do. They suggested and I did have LG&E come in and do an audit as well, because in order to earn a rebate from LG&E on any work that the Energy Savers guys might do, I had to have a baseline audit from LG&E first. They actually told me, here is what you should do and here is our estimate, but do not do this until LG&E audits first. If they do that and the energy improves enough, I can earn a rebate. I found the audit to be quite extensive for the price. I would use them again.

It went great the workers came out on 2 separate Saturdays and performed the jobs both groups were very professional. Couldn?t ask for a better work crew. I had three separate bids on the job and they were the most expensive but I felt the most comfortable with them. I am happy with the job and can?t wait till this summer to see if it is really going to pay off.

We renovated a 70 yr old house. We found Energy Savers on Angie's list (thank you to those who provided reviews). There was little insulation in the house. With Brandon's advise, skill and knowledge in insulation matters, we completed the job. Then LGE gave us a rating of "new house" and we received a rebate. The cost of $2400 is net of a $450 rebate The service was excellent and timely. The staff is professional and very east to work with. Our heating and air conditioning bills are 25% less that a similar house across the street.

All of my contacts with the owners and employees of Energy Savers were a positive experience. They show up on time and do a great job. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and concerned about doing a good job. I cannot say enough positive things about my eperience with the company. I definitely recommend them and would hire them again.
Description of Work: Sealed air leaks in the attic and basement. This included caulking around all duct work and plumbing pipes, sealing the seams of all duct work, covering all cam lights, adding foam insulation to the rim joist, placed cover over gravel in crawl space in basement, and installing foam board on the foundation walls in the crawl space. Blown insullation was then added to the attic.

Brandon came out with the first appointment. He went over the house with me and checked out where i was having a problem. He assessed some of the areas and talked to about the problems and performed an energy audit with a blower. He emailed me an estimate and went over it with me on the phone. We agreed to go ahead with the most important problem, the bath and bedroom on the first floor and crawl space. We also addressed some of the leaks around the band joist in the basement and the wall around the cedar closet. He took his time, was in no hurry to leave or get me to sign anything. We had to reschedule our work once but once they were out here, the employees were professional, courteous and worked very diligently to do a through job. I watched them as they were working in the attic, basement and crawl space. I observed what they were doing as they were doing it and asked questions based on what Brandon and I discussed and checked to see if they had gotten instructions from Brandon about some of the details. They definitely communicated with Brandon about the detail and were able to answer my questions. The workers were very comfortable talking to me and discussing what work they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves when they were finished with the attic and bedrooms. They even spilled some insulation in the front yard and cleaned that up also. They worked straight through and if they took a break, it must have been short. They smiled, answered my questions thoughout the day. We could tell a noticeable difference right away in the main part of the house. After some of the bad weather, we still had some cold air in the master bath. I called Brandon and we discussed a way to solve this problem was to blow insulation into the walls and ceiling of the finished bedroom in the basement. We knew that they would have to put holes in the finished walls and ceiling. They came back out, blew in the insulation and then patched the walls. During the installation, one of the workers (Jr.) took me to the master bath to do a pre and post test of the cold air coming from under the whirlpool tub. It was very helpful. I could tell how much the insulation decreased the air coming in from the floor below. He also demonstrated how we knew that there was no insulation or very little in the outside wall of the basement bedroom. This showed me they were doing a through job and i like being informed. We are now trying to review our energy bills to help us determine how much we saved and how effective this was. As I said earlier, we could tell a noticeable difference right away in the main part of the house and now can feel a difference in the master bath. We have a number of leaks throughout the house, some are just not going to be fixable. However, we feel that energy savers put a big dent in our problem.
Description of Work: energy savers came out and tested for leakage of air in our house. They performed an energy audit and provided us with a report generated from this audit. we contracted with them to provide an estimate of what it would take to reduce or elimimate the cold conditions in our first floor bath and bedroom primarily and then to provide us with an estimate to solve the energy loss from the entire house. They removed the existing insulation in bedroom attic, caulk and sealed floor, installed air barrier @ laundry ceiling/decking, clear soffit channel, added loose fill over master bdrm and attic space. remed and replace and seal mechanical penetrations at band joist of basement. block and sealed between wall @ cedar closet in basement. foam sealed mech, pentetrations @ subfloor in crawl space. repair/replace reister leads@ master bedroom crawl, seal with newly installed duct with mastic.

I had the energy auit done to pinpoint exactly where our insulation problems are. Excellent experience. I would highly recommend Energy Savers and, in fact, have done so. Energy Savers definitely puts the consumer first.
Description of Work: We have a tri-level home and wanted to make it more energy efficient. After getting several estimates, we decided to go with Energy Savers. My first conversation was with the Owner, Linda. I was very impressed with her knowledge and the information she offered. Brandon, the Sales Representative, evaluated our home and provided the estimate. He was professional and answered any and all questions we had concerning the job. The job consisted of sealing the sub-floor in the crawl space and insulating the foundation walls; removing the siding on the upper level of our home and insulating the exterior walls; removing the soffit and insulating the cantilever; removing the existing insulation in the attic, sealing the attic floor, and installing new insulation. I was dreading this work, knowing it was going to be a pretty good size job and that I probably would have a lot of clean up afterwards. The installers did an excellent job. There was an issue with a wire in the attic, the installers notified Linda, the Owner, and she immediately came by to check it out. She wanted to make sure everything was done correctly and that there were no safety issues.

Luckily, there were very few cold spots, so they did not made any outlandish or unnecessary recommendations. The technician said our problems were actually fairly minor, and that if it was his house, he would perform a few simple things like sealing with caulk on a few spots around the windows.
Description of Work: Energy Savers arranged an energy audit, which included checking the exhaust for the furnace and the hot water heater, attaching a large exhaust fan to the house, and using thermal imaging to find cold spots inside the house. Afterwards, the technician made specific recommendations on improving our insulation and air-tightness.

A technician by the name of Brandon came out to perform the energy audit on our house. I had recently installed new insulation in the walls of the first floor of our home so I was excited to see the results. Brandon was SUPER nice to me, my wife and our kids who were noisey as to what was going on. Brandon wasn't rushed for time, he took around 3 hours I'd guess taking me around the house while he performed his tests, explaining each one along the way. He was thorough, had no problems going into the crawlspace to inspect things down there as well. Once he was done he explained his initial findings in detail. He also provided me with a written estimate of what they could do to improve my home. Brandon also passed along some interesting information regarding a program LG&E had going on at that time. If you have LG&E come out to perform an audit and if you can improve your numbers by 15% you will receive a $500 refund. If you improve your numbers by 20% you'll receive a $1000 refund. That money can be used to pay yourself back for making the improvements to your home, so it's like a free upgrade to your home. Brandon explained his plan for my home and said he would work with his guys to get our house up to that 20% improvement. I WILL be calling them back to perform that work.
Description of Work: This first round was simply the audit, tests were performed and parts of the house were inspected to see what we could improve on.
